This whole album is great. I have memories of listening to it on a walkman in 95 very early in the morning on the way to class in college and it just made me so freaking happy.
The best, thrilled you did this! It was a favorite and I loved your reaction. I was in Liverpool last year and a dude played a hard acoustic version and killed it, danced like I was at home =)
This track got a lot of airplay on alternative rock radio stations back in the 90’s. UK band that is much bigger in Europe and more of an underground favorite in the US.
Actually, from Wrexham, Wales. I only know this because of the documentary Welcome to Wrexham. The daughter of the James's lead singer was on roads with him for a while and said she always wanted to stay on the road!
This whole CD was so good. They definitely were a very original band. Unique sound, almost hypnotic. Just found your channel and am having a great time watching your reactions. Your journey is now my journey.
Got my tickets the other day to go and watch James in Leeds and Manchester next year. Incredible live band. Check out Getting Away With It (All Messed Up)
Matt's version is good BUT...To this day he sings the wrong lyric to 'Line my eyes and call me pretty' ...he sings 'Dye my eyes and call me pretty". Drives me crazy. I love Matt
Dude, you obviously can become a bore to other people when one has developed an obsession that they have little interest in. I remember in college wanting to go out and have some fun, but a friend wants to over Talk a girl, a breakup and you want to be a good friend. But what a buzzkill this obsession is becoming a bore.😂
Haha. Never thought I’d here a reaction to this. We danced like maniacs to this in college. Just a fun song! 😂❤

Is it the fella who sings outside St Johns in front of the costa? He's great, does an amazing version of Sit Down as well

@@jhamptonjr not to be snotty but Wales is part of the UK. The lead singer may be originally from there but the band was formed in Manchester.

Tim was born in Bradford and has 2 Sons so don’t know who’s daughter you’re referring to 🤷♀️

The real name for this is whipped. Never thought I'd see a reaction to this. Popular back in the 90's.

well done sir - one of the greatest british songs of the 90's
Great live 👌👌 wasn't expecting it.
I'm more used to the song from the movie American Wedding by Matt Nathanson.
this one

Top 20 song of the 90’s IMO. I like it that much.
Never heard of James. So, never heard this song. And Biz, you're right. Sounds toxic AF! 🤣😂🤣
😂😂😂
Thanks LIFE for put me inside a human body in 1981... Otherwise I was be so unhappy without alternative rock around me.... Thanks James, thanks life!
I haven't delved to much of James but like a few that I've heard. Common People by Pulp is one you'd like if you haven't heard it already.
It is a bright song , try listening to "moving on", one of the greatest songs ever, have a hanky ready though.
Amen brother
Very much worth diving into
Sit Down
Born of Frustration
Destiny Calling
Getting Away With It
Sometimes
Tomorrow
Just Like Fred Astaire
James was huge in the early 90s sometimes or say something are a couple of songs to check out pal
