    I was 13years old when I gave my heart to Jesus at a Billy Graham Crusade in Rhodesia. I am grateful that God allowed missionaries to come to Africa in those days. Thank God for Billy Graham. I am nearly 69 years old and happy.

    RIP Billy Graham! God Bless You, John Piper. To me you have been my Billy Graham. Through the Holy Spirit you have shared the truth with me. My eyes have never been more open. Now through every affliction I’ve faced, I know there’s been a reason for it. Through autoimmune disease, fighting cancer, you’ve shown me there is purpose and as you spoke of, it wasn’t meaningless. Thank You, God for ministers who know Your word and help us to see the truth of Your word.

    I like how this video concluded with that clip of Reverend Graham's sermon in Florida.
    I'm not sure of all the claims here in the comments section of universalistic idealism or the freemason claims, but the message from him is clear to me: How great THOU art!
    Rest in peace brother. I hope to join you in the presence of the Almighty soon, after I finish my race by grace.

    What soul-soothing, comforting, and loving words from a humble heart! Thank you so much, Pastor John!
    Wisely said: God‘s Hand was truly on this faithful servant!
    He sowed the very first seeds of the gospel (TV) into my heart, in 1975 in AUS. Since then I have reached the peak of overflowing joy and love, peace and security IN MY LORD! Needless to say that IT ALL began with an obedient proclaimer of the Gospel of Christ!!! All this is GRACE! Nothing but GRACE!!

    With the passing of B.G. from earth to everlasting. Looking at his time on this earth from ww1 till today. He was a light in dark places. I wonder how many Christians want to pick up the torch for the kingdom. It's like that sense of the story of Elijah and Elisha. God allowed B.G. to train us how to speak. Will this be the time when the Holy Spirit is poured out to all people * Joel 2? We will see. The problem we have are those people who are so quick to judge his failings or shortcomings forgetting they too look in a mirror and seeing their mess, they walk away with out fixing what is wrong. The is therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. B.G. knew Jesus was the way, truth, and life. His torch was laid down, who is willing to bear this burden? Holy Spirit come. Fill this land with your Glory. Here I am send me

      We all agree with the scriptures on this. I see this as a commemoration, not a focus on trusting in a man. Billy Graham had great influence worldwide. If his death can make unbelievers think 🤔 about what he stood for (Christ, the cross, the resurrection, and the afterlife), to help them become saved, this is good in the eyes of God.
      The Apostle Paul pointed to himself to use as an example for Christians to walk in Christ like him. We need to use godly men as examples and thank the Lord for putting them here and letting us learn from them. Glory be to God forever and ever 🙏

      +Stacy S. Saddly many are lost following the wrong churches due to a lack of knowledge. We need to study on our own to be counted worthy, only then you may have a chance of not being deceived BUT the Bible does state that the Elect can be deceived so its a long journey to the end.

    I'm an old man now, but I remember the original televised conversation between Billy Graham and Robert Schuller. Both men believed in a generic god where sincere Muslims, Hindus and all faiths would be in heaven. Billy's 1960 magazine article states the same thing. "Many will say Lord,Lord...didn't we do GREAT AND MIGHTY THINGS...

    My faith is a fruit of Billy Graham's tour in France in the 80's. There was a pentecostal revival in France after he came, I didn't saw him personally, but as a beginner in faith I grew up in a church in Lyon where many many people have been converted during his conference.

    What joy it brings me to see a respected pastor geek out about a gifted evangelist. We serve a God who is consistent in nature but is amplified by the seasons of life the Church has within who zealously praise certain aspects of God's character. Satan will take a generation and distort a truth of God to make a deceptive following but God raises up His champions of the faith to passionately battle against the schemes of the Devil. What praise God is due when He uses mere mortals to say and do glorious things of His amazing nature.

    Public proclamation of the gospel SHOULD effect the culture, and BG ministry did just that. To judge how pure the church became is not an indictment upon BG, but a reflection of the spiritual battle between human sin, rebellion and God's word. The church, the US, the World is BLESSED by the faithfulness and truth BG preached.Speaking in a reformed sense, BG brought people face to dace with their sin, and some professed. Most probably endured, but for sure, some did not. That is not on BG. Once we are enlightened, knowledgeable with the gospel, tasted its grace...we are called to follow in worship. HEbrews warns to not fall away.People who fault the BG ministry as if ALL their converts were expected to live pure, godly lives in holiness and live perfect obedient lives, and we stand in judgment, when we don't do that ourselves... really? BG did the work of an evangelist... God called people through him, spirits renewed...

    Billy Graham gospel was askew. He told Robert Schuller that there will be those in heaven who had never heard of Jesus and that there will be Muslims and Buddhists and other false religion followers in heaven also. He also said why abort a baby. He asked the question, why not Let the baby be born and then kill it because aborting could endanger the mother’s health. He also embraced Arminianism as foundational to his ministry. Vey very surprised that John Piper spoke highly of Graham.

    These days almost all the famous preachers are misinterpreting the Bible and misleading ppl.i have begun to distrust them greatly.best is to read the Bible and believe in the word directly and listen to ordinary pastors sermons.these huge crusades tend to mislead ppl and it is not done to glorify God but rather the preacher and fill his coffers.

    Billy Graham said Jesus is not the only way to heaven. So I wonder why this liar is lifted so highly as an idol perhaps. I find it greatly disturbing that John Piper is praising Graham as a great man of God when he clearly wasn't. He tickled ears, nothing more. We as Christians should hold fast to truth. That said I can no longer listen to Piper either. Sadly, I must now unsubscribe.

      N 'Tune - Brother, Graham said many things that were not theologically accurate. But he was faithful to the truth. As he grew old, yes he said things not true. However he had fruit of the Spirit that only the regenerate have. He had a fire for God. He had his controversial trials, but he was true. Examine all of his fruit.

    • @johnross4541
      @johnross4541 6 лет назад +3

      Obadiah what Billy said about Jesus not being the only way, was no different than calling Jesus an outright LIAR just as the Catholic Church has since the Romans birthed it. That is not being faithful to the end at all. Jesus said he was the only way. You may choose to believe one can preach blasphemies and be saved but the Holy Spirit would never let such a horrendous lie come from my mouth and that is a fact I know. I tried to tell a Catholic of God's saving grace but each time I opened my mouth I was unable to utter a word. Later he told me any good person was going to heaven just as Billy Graham preached. He blasphemed the Holy Spirit in doing so and was unworthy of the truth. Another man was baptized twice and lived even more sinful than before and the same happened when I tried telling him to confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord, but I was unable. I've been used be the Holy Spirit to turn atheist but not one who blasphemed. Still, though, it is up to you to believe fully in the word of God, or to lighten up the word to comfort yourself. And truly, if Billy Graham really lead so many to Christ why has this nation become so much more wicked. Could they have been but many false conversions, having many profess without any regeneration. I'm sure a lot of people did truly come to Christ. But God in His wisdom could use a donkey just the same as in the story of Balaam. Also, in what he preached the last sixteen years was another gospel and according to 2nd John we shouldn't even let him in our house nor bid him Godspeed lest we be partakers of his evil. I believe scripture is firm on this, and accordingly that would put Graham in God's wrath.

    • @obadiah3527
      @obadiah3527 6 лет назад +1

      N 'Tune Trust me brother, I understand that. I could not speak about Christ not being the only way either. However, on his final message, (which is available online) He does absolutely say Jesus is the Messiah, and ONLY way to Father, he fell into mistakes, however he stated otherwise before his death. I watched him alot when he was younger, he stressed the only way is Christ, like I said, im not excusing his error, but he did state his beliefs before death.

    • @johnross4541
      @johnross4541 6 лет назад +4

      Obadiah Thank God for that. May his soul be at rest with Jesus. I must admit that I almost watched his last message but didn't for lack of forgiveness. Just one more thing the Holy Spirit has been working with me as of late. God bless you and thank you for being a faithful child of our Father.

    Billy preached a false gospel. He preached on the cross and thats great, but about Jesus on the cross and the ressurection?
    He constantly said Repent and be saved, but biblically repentance is the result of salvation . I could go on and on. He charged people to sit on his platform. Not to mention scripture says beware if all men speak well of you.

    Billy Graham was loved too much by the "world." Jesus said that the world will hate you because it hates me. Billy Graham said heretical things at the interview with Robert Schuller. Those who do not know the. name of Jesus will be saved somehow? What about his interview with King. His view of the "called out ones" is heretical. It vuolates Romans 10:9,10,13.
    I appeal to John Piper to research Billy Graham. What Martyn Lloyd Jones about Graham. The stand that Spurgeon took on the Downgrade.
    Graham had an unequal yoke. Come out from among them and be separate.

    When does all such talk verge on idolising a man? Wouldn’t it be better to talk about what God has done through somebody? Wouldn’t it be better to retell a story about where he preached a particular sermon or something where Christ got all the glory? Something where Jesus and scripture became more real as a result of meeting him rather than his height, presence, anointing or fame?
    “I knew him, I got to shake his hand, bla bla bla.”
    Yes we should mourn but it’s almost like everyone is writing a submission to the pope for Billy Graham to become a RC Saint or something.
    I got called Billy Graham at school once because I would be preaching to classmates but I’d have much preferred to have been ridiculed as Christ like. Show respect and honour to those who fight the good fight and dedicate their lives to the gospel but be very careful with those who are loved and accepted by all, usually that flows from compromise.

      Brother, as a calvinist, don’t ever believe that you must be one to be saved by the Lord. It is sad that he did not understand it, but he does now, along with many things beyond us. He was born again, reformed theology doesn’t save, it is biblical truth, but he trusted and served God with his heart. Arminians are wrong in their theology, however that does not equate to lack of salvation. Remember brother, we also once did not understand reformed theology, but his faith was in Christ as his substitute. He was atoned for; whether or not he understood calvinist or not.
