Wrestlefest got me through some dark times. No Mercy, to this day, still has mods made for it. New superstars and arenas are added quite regularly. Smackdown HCTP was a close second. A Wrestlefest cabinet would be boss, as in the final boss of all cabinets.
Great video. I forgot about those games. I didn’t know they were Japanese made. Love those arcade games. P.S. No Mercy N64 is the best wrestling game I’ve ever played. The customization was peerless. Video on this recommended.
raggaeldestro It was the first of the WCW games from Aki. Same gameplay as Revenge WrestleMania 2000 and No Mercy but had bare bones features. In my opinion it’s In no way better than Revenge or No Mercy. It’s a fun game but you’re not missing anything.

I remember this was at Lawrence Square Mall in early 90's. I was playing this co-op with my friend Sheldon and whenever he tagged me he'd use both joysticks, so I wasn't able to play. This was the first and last I'd ever play coop again.
This was EVERYWHERE in the early 90's in Northern Ireland. 30 years later, I can still name 5 different locations that had this cabinet in my home town. Me and my mates had a bunch of fun with these at the time it came out.
Your content is nothing other than enjoyable, educational, and impressive. I always look forward to another video posted by you. Keep up the great work. Best wishes to you from Washington D.C. USA. God bless!

Played these games lots as a kid. Please proceed with a Wrestlefest video! 🙏👍 If this subject carries on I'd also love to see you cover the Fire Pro series! Lastly, I just watched the credits sequence and I gotta say, you're a great wrestler! Really like that signature move!
I definitely remember this arcade machine from numerous trips to a local 7-Eleven back in the day. I never did see the other game they mentioned but this one I would always lose at.
The more arcade focuses the better! I never got to play more that the biggest arcade games since most arcades either were far away or shut quickly. Great WWF games are great to see.
I still remember when I first saw this Arcade Game WWF Superstars in the BX, Base Exchange at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines. They had two Arcade Machines, WWF Superstars & Cabal. This game and WWF Wrestlemania for NES were the only WWF/WWE wrestling games that I knew about in existence. I always wondered if that was the same Arcade machine of WWF Superstars I started seeing in the Kelly Cafeteria also on the base. That game was only in Kelly Cafeteria for a short time like a month, because I didn't see the Arcade Game Machine anymore after going there one particular time. Any WWF/WWE Wrestling game with Hulk Hogan, Macho Man Randy Savage, or Andre the Giant on the cover is an old WWE Wrestling video game to me but still classic WWE. Those memories going to Clark Air Force Base to go to the Base Exchange or BX, and also Kelly Cafeteria brings back many great memories for me that are etched on my mind and memory for life!!!! That is when my father was still active in the Air Force way back in 1989-1990. He retired in 1999 from Active Duty as Master Sergeant, but has since retired & departed this life since 2015. But he will live on in my memories & my heart forever, me & my family all love & miss him very much!!!!!
Great video as usual, and while every game probably doesn’t deserve a stand-alone deep-dive video except WrestleFest (please?!), an Aki-N64 roundup and some of the PS2 games would be nice to see. I loved WCW vs NwO and Revenge on the 64 and the grappling system was so fresh and interesting as compared to the Acclaim games I was used too. Nothing beat winning a match via sunset flip over the ropes...in my opinion that is.
I have been a fan for about 6 months... But as a huge mark for wrestling. I would love to see you do another vid of historic grappling games. Best vid yet
Top Hat Gaming Man - You ever checked out Microleague Wrestling featuring the WWF on the C64? I'd contend it's the first great wrestling game, it has wrestlers cutting full promos, has cut scenes and commentary. It's not direct control of the wrestlers, but you select what moves you want to do from a menu, then the game gives you a series of digitized photos to play out what happened. But the running commentary and promos make it really lively. I played the hell out of this in the 80s. Here's a link if you want to see it, can skip to about 2:20 to see the pre-match promo: ruclips.net/video/ObI-pTViLk8/видео.html
I thought some of the Superstars game footage looked familiar. It's kind of awesome you used my playthrough of the game. For those who care, mine uses the Honky/Bossman team.
Oh yeah, that's right! We had this game, but I totally forgot about it! Interesting background about Acclaim/Ljn, Konami, and the licenses. No wonder Acclaim and LJN games on NES had a similar feel sound and graphics wise. All of which at a time when you'd actually want to play a Konami game. ;^P
I used to love playing Wrestlefest at my local paper shop. I played Superstars only once as a kid, on a holiday to Butlins. I'd love to see more on Wrestlefest, and the Megadrive games too.
Virtual pro wrestling 2 on n64 was sick as fuck. In the create a wrestler they had all the moves for every WCW and WWF from their American games. Probably my favorite wrestling game of all time.

One game that if you cover the Yuke's WWF games, don't forget to include Power Move Pro Wrestling from Activision. This title came out a solid 5 years prior to THQ's WWF Smackdown on PS1. The game play is almost identical in every way, but still just different enough. Honestly, still one of my favorites.
It's well outside your retro game range, but WWE All-Stars was a fantastic over-the-top arcade wrestling game for the PS3/360/Wii with a roster you'd love.
I loved Superstars. Lots of quarters were played on this one. You should definitely cover WWF wrestlefest. Also I would be interested on knowing which home system wrestling game compares to wrestlefest?
