Have you considered doing an FS 70 vs FS 94 video given how close they are in specs? I have the 91’s predecessor, the FS90R. I really liked it but it used the felt filter like the FS70. I never had an issue with leaving the on off switch in the off position and flooding the engine. It was a nice powerful trimmer that would slice a beer/pop can in half with.095 string. It languished in my garage for several years with gas (containing ethanol no less) and does not run very well so I purchased the FS94 R. I love the reduced weight of the 94. I will get the 90 fixed and use a brush knife or the FixCut 31-2 head with .155 line for edging. I chose it over the 70.
What model is the lowest priced 2 cycle trimmer with a solid rod? The stihl website is severely lacking in information, pictures, and filtering options.
If you’re looking for a true two cycle versus the for mix, you would be having to go up to the FS 94. Although sometimes that machine has a cable, you almost have to check by pulling off the gearbox.
The 91's to heavy when topped off, the 70' shouldn't even be in the comparison. Actually the 94r is hands down my selection on many accounts. Weight, power to weight ratio, did I say weight? Seriously when their in your hands all day, the 94r is where it's at. Your body will thank you. It floats so good
Thank you Carl I was the one who asked for this video. It is cool to see someone care about what his viewers ask. And staying involved.
It’s Josh not Carl
Glad we could do this for you
I have a fs 131 . It's a great machine ! You should do a side by side comparison with fs 131 and the fs 251 !!
I had my Stihl FS 56 RC string trimmer for like two years next year is three years
And if you treat it right you’ll have it 10-15 more
Really Good - Very useful information.
It's gotta be the 91 hasn't it !
Many thanks.
Thanks for your feedback. Yes go 91

That would be a good idea.
There are many differences for sure.

Thanks for your input. The 94 does win on weight
Never tried a 70 ? How's the vibration I've had all Stihl trimmers we now have a 111 Rx might be the best for vibration 😊
The FS70 will save you some weight. But the 111rx has less vibration.
Stihl is better than a peace of junk feather lights and off brand crap
💯
