Wow that aged beautiful. I hope thise welt holes dont get bigger. I usually put some wax in between the welt and upper just to not get water going in. In small amount off course

Look amazing imo they could perhaps use conditioning a tad more often, they look a bit dryer than id comfortably allow my boots to go, might also help even out those rolls

How do these fit? Tru to size?

It’s a weird last, the CN, so I would check the sizing advice on Standard and Strange’s website. It’s a bit narrow in the ball and low in the instep, with a big heel. Narrow widths can go half down, most go TTS, wide widths should not wear this (the CN-Wide last is best for wide width feet).

Do they press down on your toes? Because my pair does that, I don’t really wear them much because of this. Hoping that with time they loosen up.

Are yours structured or unstructured toe? Are they Horsebutt? Could be a sizing issue? Or maybe the last is too low for your particular toes? My HiLiners and Engineers (which are unstructured toe) touch my toes but aren’t bothersome at all. On the other hand I had Clinch Jodhpurs in the same size that were structured toe, and those bothered the tops of my toes, so I sold them. Sometimes it’s not a sizing mistake, simply fit and feeling preference.

Mine are unstructured toe, I got maybe a little over half inch of room up front. I wanted to go with my brannock size to be safe but obviously they weren’t available. I was told they’d stretch with time but they really press down on my toes. Maybe a just have big toes lol. Thanks

Aw man that’s unfortunate. Yeah it makes me wonder if they’re indeed .5 size small. This has happened to me before, so I feel your pain….If they’re in good shape and you’re a bit patient, sometimes you can find a buyer who will pay a fair price for them, and you can take that money and start over.

What are your most comfortable engineer boots that you own?

The Benzein/Briselblack engineers on Kapak last.

@@thevintagefuture6567 I love those boots but I really want to get a pair of role clubs. I'm having a hard time to decide.

@@cornpop8570 if you get Role Club, just make sure he doesn't size you too short. He's notorious for not giving enough length for the toes. Other than that, the fit is like no other.
