Really? Asking a person who barely functions to supervise?
Exactly what I was thinking… my lady has dementia and of course memory problems…can’t remember my time… I cannot believe a mentally I’ll person is a supervisor! Not ok
How does an IHSS provider change their address?
Jennifer i am an ihss social worker. You can call your local ihss district office and ask for form SOC 840 which is a change of address form
How to get more hours
Need forms
The recipient as the employer? Give me a break. A provider can tell a recipient no to any requests made by the recipient. The provider holds five aces in their hand. If the recipient doesn't agree to the provider's demands, the provider can say, "okay go ahead and find another provider." A recipient who does not have a close family member as a provider is up the creek. There is virtually no help for a senior disabled recipient to get assistance in receiving help in finding providers.. what recipient wants to be abandoned by a provider? The provider can tell a recipient to approve twice the number of hours that the provider actually is in the home of the recipient helping. They can and do get away with that. And there are many other ways that providers can commit fraud. The recipient is helpless in trying to prevent such fraud. Because if they refused to comply with the providers demands they know that they will be abandoned. So don't say the IHS recipient is the employer. They are always subject to the demands of each provider.
You are so correct. Anyone who believes otherwise is not dealing with reality. It is a great way for the state and county to dump on disabled or elderly individuals who have difficulty taking care of themselves not to mention supervising another person who has all five Aces.
And they pay peanuts. If the person iam talking careof wasn’t my family member I would of walk out this shit he’ll
Maybe you should pay more.
