oml I have so much to say on this so bunker down folks this is gonna be a long one---
also sorry if it doesn't make much sense. I may be a little under influence
as sad as it is I don't really see the toxicity getting better unless netease themselves actually does smth (and what that is, well,... idk I haven't thought that far)
like
1. the report system is garbage that does nothing at best or mutes people who did nothing at worst
2. the toxicity in their favourite child cn server is also rampant and if they don't punish *them* there is no hope for the rest of us
3. netease, as we all know, is money hungry and if people keep throwing it at this game then they just see it as "oh they still p(l)ay so there's no reason to fix"
4. obv this is not all netease's fault cause like, jfc not to sound like a boomer but. JFC. kids these days......
NOW onto cc.....
I like cc but my god some people who play have serious problems
I've run into people saying the r slur, being antisemitic (antisemitic guy wasn't even the fool or cc, they were just a douche that everyone agreed to vote out thank god), misogyny, racism, and just being generally creepy and weird to random people
I was even voted out once because I have a girly sounding username (I don't use vc so they had no idea I actually am a woman)
I feel like that mode specifically has gathered the nasty people because of the vc and I hate that people have to beg pre game for people to be nice
the base game itself has it's own set of issues
like I've been told to kms/dealt w/ toxicity for
1. being a friendly hunter
2. not being a friendly hunter
3. flubbing my first ever rescue as merc (I never played a rescue character before that and I just came back from almost a year long break)
4. asking who was getting rank treasures in the next season
5. wearing a b tier skin
people say nasty shit as easily as breathing and it concerns me sm cause I genuinely worry ab their future
it's like people forget not saying shit to ruin someone's mood is completely free and easy to do
I actually used to play w/ someone who was pretty toxic and yea they can fuck you up pretty bad. that person is one of the reasons I haven't teamed up w/ anyone in 3 years and going
