How hard is this on the crank snub? Is parasitic loss an issue considering it could take 100+ horsepower per unit to drive? Is it feasible compared to a twin turbo setup?
Awesome buddy thanks for sharing I’d love to see a dyno pull with a engine on pump gas then on moonshine with the highest percentage of alcohol you can get from a moonshine still lol
@@stevemorrisracing I think Ole Scrotie there was talking straight off the still and not weenied down. When alcohol comes off the still, it’s typically gonna be in the range of 180-200 proof if you’ve got a good cook that is using good ingredients but then it is cut with some other ingredient, water for the drinking version, so it is not so incredibly hot. I think if you’d try to run straight pure still strength alcohol thru an injection system, something is not gonna be very happy at all at some point and try and find a way out of the inferno. You’d probably have to mill some titanium internals to keep from having a meltdown situation, you would know more about that than I would Steve. But, in order to do what Scrotie is referring too would require you to have an extremely good friend somewhere with a special talent and a nice shop with specialized equipment cause the E100 is the highest your gonna be able to get commercially
Anything over 85 percent absorbs water from the air and dilutes itself. Anulss an additive is used., never bothered to see what it is they use. But as someone who has made plenty of Likker. Trust me, triple distilled gta you the highest but it will dilute itself. It is hrdroscopic.
Heard a comment on another channel about "some guy" making more power with a big block chev platform than a procharged Hemi, I immediately assumed it's you
In one of his videos it looked like he had a dual absorber Stuka brake and best I recall those could hold 1600hp so I think he runs the absorbers at max fill and then measures the hp from the acceleration rate of that load. Kind of like a super heavy roller dyno jet do the higher the hp the faster it sweeps.
@@Sir.VicsMasher 220 with the same boost? No way in hell that's possible between a 2.9 and 3.0 if both run properly. You need to think about the physics involved. Even if you got intake temps down to room temp, you could never gain that kind of power. I have swapped the older 3.3 to a new 4.5 on a pair of boat engines for a buddy of mine, and we saw a small gain - and those 3.3 huffers go way back, like gen 2 or 3. It takes a specific amount of air to make a specific amount of power. If the engine stays the same and the boost stays the same, the only two things that will have an effect on power, is parasitic loss and temps - in other words, mechanical and thermal efficiency. To gain 220 hp means that you more or less reduce parasitic losses to 0, because that's not far from what it takes to spin the blower at this power level. Even if the temps went down 50F or 80F, then what? Maybe 10-30 hp depending on the situation? You still need to move all that air. You can gain power if the blower allows you to crank up the boost, but unless you do that, such an increase is not possible at the same atmospheric pressure. Here's a video I think you should watch. It's a test between two engines. One has a 2.9 Whipple, and the other is Turbo. At peak power, they make roughly the same boost, 0.3 psi difference giver or take. Now, it is believed that turbos are more efficient once at boost, and this is true, thus a turbo motor running the same boost should make more power, shouldn't it? Well, these do, The only caveat is that the turbo motor is run a few hundred rpm less. So if it was spun up the same way, you can pretty easily gauge where the power would be at the same rpm if the curve was climbing still. Now again, this is screw blower vs. turbo, there's ZERO doubt as to which is more efficient up on top. ruclips.net/video/uvDVxOWFFTc/видео.html Again, you need to think before you drink the kool-aid. I say again, there is no way in hell that an engine which is built properly will ever gain 220 bhp just by switching from a 2.9 to a 3.0 if the intake plenum sees the same boost - not even if the air was scolding hot in the 2.9.

Just curious why you do such fast sweeps when you dyno your engines? I've never really seen people do more than 600 RPM/sec on an engine dyno.
