Love that you guys never pull any punches. Great stuff as always much love
I seem to remember that near the end of Goldberg's run with the UFC, he was commenting while absolutely blasted out of his mind on what looked like a metric shit ton of coke. Even Rogan's reactions to him live were all like "dude wtf".
You forgot to mention that later cowboy Cerrone said pretty much the same thing Stephen A Smith said about his performance
Apologizing for Goldy doesn't erase his serial errorism. The man's career has been an assault on broadcast media.
After 20 years as an MMA commentator, Goldberg still doesn't know anything. His moronic commentary is obnoxious. At least Anik knows when to shut up.
“VIRTUAL IDENTICAL!”
Your writing and narration is beyond superb it’s such a pleasure to watch your videos keep up the great job!
Cruz is ruthless and y’all hate to admit it but SAS was right. Yeah he could have worded it differently but even Cowboy said he didn’t want to be there so that’s a point for the bad guy SAS.
Who's SAS?
Stephen a smith
The worst thing is all the Rogan bumlickers hated on Smith for being right.
Completely agree, should’ve been more careful with his wording but he wasn’t wrong
Jon Anik is the Nardwuar of MMA...every viewer is thinking "How did Anik find this out?"
That Dan hardy one is a travesty. Arguably the best analyst and commentator in mma. Loved hearing his insight during fights.
“After this isn’t a game where you score a ball to win” -Tommy in ever video ever
I always thought the whole saga with Cruz and DC was a joke, I didn't know some of Cruz' comments were serious and DC took them personally
Cruz saying DC doesn't do his homework is a bit rich coming from the man who, during the Khabib and Conor fight, said Conor was on his back eating punches to make Khabib tired for the later rounds. LOL 🤣
Kind of love Cruz for calling DC out. Because of how lovable DC and how much of a legend he is people just let him pass with subpar commentary. The same goes for Bisping honestly, but at least Bisping is trying and improved a ton since the beginning.
I actually hate dc. I used to not care and even liked him as a fighter. I just hate him as a commentator
Bisping actually puts a ton of work into being a commentator and last night aside from him being nervous which was obvious he was awesome very well prepared and added so much more insight than DC ever has.
DC is awesome at commentary, you guys are crazy.
Bisping sometimes slips but DC is just straight lazy.
i mean cruz gets a pass too
"mcgregor is gassing khabib out by getting punched in the face"
- Cruz
joe rogan almost had another one trying ro prononce negumereanu
Dan Hardy didn't approach Herb Dean. He shouted at Dean, sure, but he didn't approach him. Dean approached Hardy. Also I have all the respect in the world for Herb Dean, he does a difficult job really well, but that was a bad stoppage.
Cerrone basically validated what Steven A said though.
I know Joe Rogan and other announcers have to build up the fights, but what he said this past weekend about Aljamain sterling was ridiculous. He talked about how Sterling did not get respect initially as a champion because of the way he won the title against Yan, but then followed that up saying Sterling dominated the rematch with Yan. I could not believe what I was hearing. Sterling squeaked out a questionable split decision in that second fight with Yan.
I love DC's commentary, and would much rather have him call a fight than Cruz.
My first thought when I saw this episode was “Both fighters are dealing with custody battles”
That Eminem line had me laughing out loud 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dominick “Pressure pressure pressure pressure pressure” Cruz
UFC canning Mike Goldberg was the end of the old era. Mike's commentary was that slightest bit awkward and unprofessional, which is MMA in a nutshell, no matter how hard we try to hide it. I love the new UFC, miss the old UFC.
After 20 years as an MMA commentator, Goldberg still doesn't know anything. His moronic commentary is obnoxious. At least Anik knows when to shut up.
@@gobeavs9247 Goldberg is the average MMA fan at the bar. That's what made MMA, MMA.
@@hardnewstakenharder What made MMA was a 170 lb Royce Gracie beating opponents who outweighed him by 50 lbs and the continuous evolution of the sport, not some moron drunks in a bar can relate to.
I spent the whole video expecting "myanus" to be number one.
Hardy calling out herb was good . The referee's need to be held more accountable for what they do . Wrong calls etc
100%
For all of Herb's fuckups, that wasn't one. Hardy was ovarieacting.
@@I_AM_BAYTOR can you even see? The guy was finished when he hit the canvas. Herb should have stopped it earlier
@@I_AM_BAYTOR that's grossly incorrect, unfortunately.
Dominick "He's just tiring him out" Cruz judging DC on not doing his research is rich.
Michael Schiavello, of ONE Championship, is the best, most unbiased and entertaining commentator in combat sports. Period. End of story..
"Smack Bang!" "Right in the Kisser & It's Good Night Irene!"
Schiavello is a hack who wouldn't have a job without his gimmick.
"that day a bunch of people were in the capital that didnt work there"... best realistic description yet lol
Cruz has CTE he says the most random bullshit sometimes "Conor is fine he's tiring Khabib out"
_"And let's not forget, both of these fighters are virgins."_

It's wild that Dan Hardy gets most of the heat for that incident despite the fact that 1. He was 100% right 2. Herb Dean approached HIM. UFC lost one of their better commentators over basically nothing.
It's NOT nothing. You can't be yelling at the ref trying to influence the fight if you're a commentator.... period.
@@ChainsGone2012 Both y'all missed the footage where Herb Dean went down & got in Dan's face. Anyone that watched that fight knows it was a bad stoppage. Being a fighter means he knows what it's like to step in the cage. When you're in there the only person that stops another trained fighter from causing severe lasting damage or even death, is the ref. When the ref fails his duty to protect the fighter, they 100% deserve criticism.
@Fu Duck I bet you haven't watched Dos Santos vs Saint Denis.
Dan was watching that fight as a commentator. Not as a cornerman or an audience or coach.
He should have checked himself right there and then. He got heated because that was his friend being pounded ruthlessly.
He was already biased before the fight since his pal was fighting. So he should have tried his best to provide an unbiased commentary. Yes alot of commentators have a biased take at times. They are human after all.
He happened to voice his disagreement with Herb's decision to stop the fight late on a live show......while the ufc brass was watching the whole debacle. Put up a complain after wards or in private with Herb or something. Dan was an employee working for UFC then and his actions reflected on the UFC branding on a live show. Not a good look. To an outsider, it is like UFC cannot get their shit together. UFC just chose to clean house.
I personally thought Dan should just apologised or something. Not fired from his job. At least he still have his podcast...
@@AbominableDoge... Yea, Herb is redding the fight. He can reprimand anyone he wants during the fight. It's LITERALLY his job.
I tend to agree with the fundamental analysis, ie fight contested largely on the feet and with hands - Poirier the better boxer - straight punches usually beat hooks etc - ergo DP has the advantage. However I think the intangibles are in JGs favour - he seems hungrier and he trains at elevation. Hard fight to pick
I remember a pride commentator talking about the winner of the match, mid match because they voiced it the next day... Bas was like you're an idiot.
Bas did that.
What? So it was fixed?
@@sukhdevr3489 No it was pre recorded. The commentators already saw the outcome of the fights. I was a big fan of pride but I believe some of those fights were definitely fixed. As a kid in the US we would stay up all night to watch a fight a like 4 am.
The fights would take place and later on they would have English commentators tape over top.
@mma 1st Oh right. Pride definitely was amazing. I was more a fan of the WEC when I was younger. That was so entertaining.
@@sukhdevr3489 WEC was really good. Great fighters until they were taken over by the UFC. Plus it was on tv.

He handled it the wrong way.

They requested for Anik to say that, you think they dont talk to the fighters before the fights? thats how they know what to talk about, they interview the fighters.
Stephen Smith didn't do anything wrong in all honesty, Cowboy definitely curled up and quit against McGregor. We didn't see him quit that easily when masvidal was beating the piss out of him even worse than McGregor did
Finally one person. I mean now we know that he was right about almost everything he said
Yeah but he’s stupid and a blight on the sport if joe said that or anik maybe it wouldn’t have been so bad but smith shouts stupid shit for headlines
Man I miss Kenny Florian. Really enjoyed his commentary and analysis
I heard he's doing commentary for battle bots or something now honestly I would almost check it out just cuz Kenny's on it ...I miss him to
He's pretty entertaining on battlebots.
I'll be back - Kenny Florian
Joe Rogan saying "Mike" after most of his commentary last night because Bisping was also commentating... it felt like the good ole days
I like how Pat handled his exit from PFL. Pat knew it was going to cause problems for PFL even if they wanted to keep him so he just left without causing a fuss.
Other loud mouths could take note and they would probably get back to work quicker.
Well said

The best part about the Joe Rogan thing, is when Izzy came to his defense in the press conference, honestly. 🔥
Dominic Cruz could retire and never come back to the sport and I really think 99.9% of the mma fan base wouldn’t give af.
Top 10 times a fighter showed mercy/took it easy on their opponent
Khabib vs Justin
Pat Barry vs Cro Cop
RDA vs Moicano
I really think the UFC missed out on the marketing opportunity that was “Fight Island”
@Fu Duck lol but they are pretty underpaid
Anik is one of the better commentators, but the custody shit takes me out every fucking time 😂😂
Kinda weird the whole joe controversy has fizzled out now. He commentated 272, there are no more articles about him, and he's still on spotify.
Because the "controversy" surrounding him is always weak. When people dig into it after reading the click bait headlines they find nothing. Even his latest controversy was nothing. He used a word people don't like in context...didn't shout it at some guy in anger, so no one really cares. His guests are from all walks of life and all backgrounds/opinions/political leanings, so the misinformation nonsense from the press (who openly purposely spread misinformation) didn't do anything to tarnish his reputation to most people either.
how yall only at 1 mill ! people need to see the passion it these videos its the reason i consider my self a hardcore fan !

John annixs bizarre fighter details have me on my fucking ass “both spiders are going through a custody battle “is legendary
I’m surprised the Skip Bayless “sumo wrestling “ rant wasn’t on this list
UFC 1 commentators Bill Wallace and Jim Brown probably deserve an honorable mention for their alternating references to "The Ultimate Fighting Challenge" and "The Ultimate Fighting Championship".
Whittaker was only happy because he knows it's going to be hard to get another crack at Adesanya for the title since he always lost twice to Israel. Whittaker has already been on record saying he wants to fight him again.
Leave it to the ufc to fire their only good commentator (Dan Hardy).
Dan Hardy sucks
Daily reminder : The UFC really treat people like trash.
Shouldn't you add a disclaimer or apology to SAS for saying what he saw considering Cowboy admitted to looking for a way out recently?
