@@marekdycjan9637 He's known for not having a filter and not making any excuses for anyone. Dominic definitely does more research than DC a lot of times I feel like DC is just handed a page on both guys 15 minutes before the show and wings it. Meanwhile Dominic actually inputs things that you wouldn't know by just watching the fights. So, honestly it shouldn't have been that big of a deal especially since DC admitted that he doesn't do research and has someone else put notes on paper before he commentates fights. DC has always been soft with his emotions and that's been shown throughout both of his careers.

Not really, DC shouldn't have gotten emotional about it. We're talking about a guy who'll put himself down on a moment's notice just because someone else was setting up an excuse for him right after the hardest night of his life. When DC saw it, he should've thought yea he's right, after all he literally admitted to it anyways so why is he acting all butthurt because someone called him out on it respectfully. He said he gets people to take notes and gives it to him before the fight so obviously Dom was right. DC will start crying over just about anything.
@@RealistMindset7 Cruz was completely accurate about it (although a bit of pot calling the kettle black) but DC was also right in that Cruz doing it in such a public manner was extremely unprofessional; they’re broadcasters not kids in the playground
All this talk of professionalism, but overlooking that they're friends and thats probably why Dom was comfortable being so honest

Yes cruz should have said it in private actually all others, in the commentary team should have pulled DC..DC is funny but cruz was a 100 percent correct..since then DC does now sometimes do his homework although bless him his rambling about a fighter often contradicting himself in the same sentence but its just repeating what jo or bisping has said lol. When the camera pans round often DC is on his phone. The truth hurt.
Cruz is great explaining moves and his knowledge is plain to see. Although the last few times he's been on he's been showing his loyalty to the fights he wants to win nad that's a DC move

Is not controversy but when Cruz tried saying Conor has trying to tire out Khabib then immediately gets Rogan’d “no I think he’s getting smashed” or when Mike Goldberg said Rousey was losing to Holm because “it’s hard being a rockstar”

I kinda understand the thing with Dan Hardy, since an comentator never should interfere in an officials job, but man, it's not fair, the guy was getting his faced smashed in while Herb was looking to something else, he took a lot of damage he shouldn't have to.

That Goldie shit still pisses me off when I think about it. My wife and I sat watching the 10 mins of wrap up like we were sitting through the credits in a Marvel movie waiting for a post credit scene that never came. Goldie deserved WAY BETTER treatment than what he got.

Michael Bisping jumping in that little intervention with Dom Cruz and DC was icing on the cake
from what i know about the anik situation. he probably mentioned the custody issues because im assuming the fighters wanted it brought up to paint them in a paticular light thats why anik ended those comments the way he did, to make them more human and real that they want their kids in their lives. bisping and others have mentioned that during fighter meetings they ask the fighters what they want to be focused on during their fights so that the commentary team can tell their story the way they want it to be told
But based off the Cerrone v McGregor fight and Cerrone performance since, was Stephen A wrong???

I seem to remember that near the end of Goldberg's run with the UFC, he was commenting while absolutely blasted out of his mind on what looked like a metric shit ton of coke. Even Rogan's reactions to him live were all like "dude wtf".

It's wild that Dan Hardy gets most of the heat for that incident despite the fact that 1. He was 100% right 2. Herb Dean approached HIM. UFC lost one of their better commentators over basically nothing.

Being a fighter means he knows what it's like to step in the cage. When you're in there the only person that stops another trained fighter from causing severe lasting damage or even death, is the ref. When the ref fails his duty to protect the fighter, they 100% deserve criticism.

Dan was watching that fight as a commentator. Not as a cornerman or an audience or coach.
He should have checked himself right there and then. He got heated because that was his friend being pounded ruthlessly.
He was already biased before the fight since his pal was fighting. So he should have tried his best to provide an unbiased commentary. Yes alot of commentators have a biased take at times. They are human after all.
He happened to voice his disagreement with Herb's decision to stop the fight late on a live show......while the ufc brass was watching the whole debacle. Put up a complain after wards or in private with Herb or something. Dan was an employee working for UFC then and his actions reflected on the UFC branding on a live show. Not a good look. To an outsider, it is like UFC cannot get their shit together. UFC just chose to clean house.
I personally thought Dan should just apologised or something. Not fired from his job. At least he still have his podcast...

I know Joe Rogan and other announcers have to build up the fights, but what he said this past weekend about Aljamain sterling was ridiculous. He talked about how Sterling did not get respect initially as a champion because of the way he won the title against Yan, but then followed that up saying Sterling dominated the rematch with Yan. I could not believe what I was hearing. Sterling squeaked out a questionable split decision in that second fight with Yan.

There had to have been eight or nine other things on whatever notes he had that would overtake a custody battle.
Mispronounced the companies name, belittled the skills of one of the main eventers because she's cute. It's a wonder they didn't cut his mic feed.
Goldie wasn't the best commentator by a wide margin, but you can't argue how synonymous "JUST! LIKE! THAT!" was to many moments in UFC history. They could have, at the very least, given him a small send-off. Hell, maybe a simple 'Thank You' graphic on one of the main screens after the PPV ended.

@@sukhdevr3489 No it was pre recorded. The commentators already saw the outcome of the fights. I was a big fan of pride but I believe some of those fights were definitely fixed. As a kid in the US we would stay up all night to watch a fight a like 4 am.
The fights would take place and later on they would have English commentators tape over top.

I tend to agree with the fundamental analysis, ie fight contested largely on the feet and with hands - Poirier the better boxer - straight punches usually beat hooks etc - ergo DP has the advantage. However I think the intangibles are in JGs favour - he seems hungrier and he trains at elevation. Hard fight to pick

Because the "controversy" surrounding him is always weak. When people dig into it after reading the click bait headlines they find nothing. Even his latest controversy was nothing. He used a word people don't like in context...didn't shout it at some guy in anger, so no one really cares. His guests are from all walks of life and all backgrounds/opinions/political leanings, so the misinformation nonsense from the press (who openly purposely spread misinformation) didn't do anything to tarnish his reputation to most people either.
