Sei Wot Naoh Its actually the opposite. Christianity is more concerned with our higher virtues that are found in christ and his teachings. The ones I see obsessing with gender is the leftist progressives.
that so? Weird, I thought women weren't allowed to be priests or popes... Not to mention women being the literal source of mankind's greatest sin... And in the new testament, women have no protagonism. The few apocrypha that have women protagonists were declared heretic by christian "authorities" of the time. (the only "authority" they had was self-naming themselves like that) In fact, most gnostic works seem to point out that christianity had a more "dualistic" and "male is equal to female" approach, with jesus being just half of an Aeon, and Sophia (wisdom, female) being the other half. But it seems like christian "authorities" didn't like that very much. It was so much so, that a lot of gnostic teachings were found in bottles in the dead sea...Just so that those "authorities" didn't destroy them. Do you really believe that there is no gender inequality in christianism, now?
There was a time in my personal evolution, when I would have listened to this for 2 seconds and, not been kind towards your views. At THIS point in my life, I consider you such a breath of fresh air. I feel like Rain Dove didn't practice enough but I did enjoy the message of the talk - too much looking down at the notes, nervous laughter, and speaking too quickly. But still an enlightening talk!
Rain was just nervous . When I have to speak in front of many people for a presentation etc. I do to look at my notes all the time and speak really quickly even tho I remember everything word by word. Still. As you said, enlightening talk!
Rain Dove said at the beginning that this was going to be a most nerve racking thing to do. People who don't have the guts to stand up and talk in public are the first to complain about nerves in speakers
Certainly because the audience was so rude. Like looking at their phones, watches, looking down, yawning. It's difficult to speak about such things before bored and closed minded people.
This topic was was unfortunately over the heads of many in the audience and many in the comment section. I was born without gender inter-sexed they classified it. But as in nature there's many nuances and adaptations. He did well nerves and all and her message will reach those it needs to. It doesn't think everyone should or will express themselves as she does. Just be you and stay the F&$K out of the way of others you may not understand. Everyone is not the same and you never know everything about whom you meet. Rain Dove so happy your out and educating others beautiful being inside and out. You are a muse for my work.
amazongirl13 (lol 2 year old comment but whatever) Just to note, when using gender pronouns, it’s usually best to stay consistent when referring to the same person in a particular context. Even though Rain said they were fine with any pronouns, using “he,” “she,” AND “it,” to refer to them all in the same paragraph gets a little confusing so I’d just stick with one.
You are an inspiration. Your energy and message is clear and positive. I can say you have made a beautiful difference in my life! Thank you so very much!
One two I think you're secretly Vipera and you're just following your other account around to make it seem like you have people who agree with you. Just a theory cOUGH
I think they're in pure SHOCK. Rain Dove challenges our existing gender structures - BOTH of them. I think the audience is dead quiet because they're trying to understand how to interpret everything. They're mindblown.
@Jose Luis Smart and intelligent, huh? Too smart to even listen in the first place, right? That's called willful ignorance, the complete opposite of intelligence.
@@nibbatron6283 no Jose Luis is right the audience is intelligent enough to know they are being deceived. How would you like it if i teach you lies by saying that a square and a circle are the same

That's all this is.. EGO 110%. They want to bully people into doing what THEY want. The idea that this person is anything other than a statistical anomaly is just wrong scientifically, if she's intersect. Fact is these people want to control everything in society and it is hilarious that they think we are going to just fall in line and ignore thousands of years of societal norms. Rude audience. Dynamic speaker and very nice person. I did not agree with what the speaker was saying but I've really never seen that level of ignorance come from an audience. Rain did so well to get through it.
She's a compulsive liar and has admitted it herself. She lied in this video too. She has even ruined other people's lives with her lies. Still think she is great?
How about "it's alive!" That would be the message I'd care about. You can be anything. You are everything. Everyone is a you. Alive would actually give a useful fact straight off the bat. Though it would remind of the chance that they could be not alive. That got sad... anyways. Great talk, Rain! You did awesome, even though the audience was sh** not paying attention. They had to pay to be there, why would they waste it, the time, on their phones when there's an awesome performer to watch and interact with such as you?
Very, very interesting. I realised that I have adjusted my posture and output to suit all sorts of situations. Through this many of my friends from different times of my life, different work situations of my life, know me as a different person. If two of my friends from different situations described me to a stranger, that stranger would think that I was two different people. Basically the same, kind, thoughtful, but after that it would go in different paths because of how I had to portray myself to survive in the particular situation I was in at the time. My gender didn't change per se, but the type of female I was, was perceived as different.
Some really great points. Though I've never tried to pass as a guy...and probably couldn't without considerable effort, I have to admit there have been many times....when I've encountered men who are clearly stereotyping me as a woman.....that I have felt that the best and often ONLY way to manage the situation was to totally let them assume whatever it is they are assuming...not waste time and energy trying to correct them....but instead, let their own flawed assumptions/stereotypes/expectations (or lack thereof) be exactly what they are....namely their own handicap.
jesus why did i not know of him before now? like just now recently i've struggled with gender stereotypes because im amab just trying to navigate the world trying to figure out who i am. i needed this xd like f**k he's like the actual royalty of gender. idk what else to say but an icon truly 😭💜
I really like Rian. I can almost feel the pain rain has went through in life because of how misinformed and cruel some people can be. This really made me question reality and how I perceive other people. I think everyone should be made to watch this video.
In order to choose "another" identity, you must first believe in the gender beliefs that already exist. Which gives those stories more power. So some people are upset because they believe that they are not socially attractive, or privileged? And so they will morph into something else?
At first, I was very confused, but then I realised how the ideas lightened are interesting 🤔 it’s actually a nice superpower to be a woman in some situations and a man in others. It’s very advantageous!
Well, I actually enjoy those facts Rain pointed out about especially being over human population. Some audiences may experience difficulties about this topic, which means they may have their own ways of identity differentiation and logic thoughts of the way they were raised. So don't mind the audiences.

I have watched other fashion modelling clips of you inadvertently so I knew you were not crazy but to be honest when I saw the title of this video I was not expecting to be so pleasantly surprised especially when you noted you don’t have to not identify with your gender to be a gender capitalist and that it has zero to do with whether you are cis/trans/non binary or any of the other 70+ gender labels that exist so I have heard...this was pure motivation you were giving and zero agenda! You are a beautiful “you” inside and out...this is what we should be preaching to kids...they simply don’t need the rest of it all...they just need to be the best them.
This is coming from the Mom of a just turned 3 year old girl (we live in China although originally I am from New Zealand). My daughter is a model and winner of well known modelling competitions here in China. I really agree with what you say and everyday I encourage her to be the best Coco (her name) she can be. She wakes at dawn to play with her dollshouse sometimes and then switches to being an army soldier with model guns (maybe not ideal at this age but hey? She loves army things), during the course of each day she is a doctor, dancer, firefighter, airplane pilot, singer, catwalk model, mummy to her dollys, various animals lol, a chef, a sick patient. She is very much a girl (no confusion on her part) but she is a girl who is very much androgynous and let’s nothing get in her way. Thank you Rain Dove for being such a positive role model in the industry!

Sei Wot Naoh
Stop acting like you sooo “open-minded” when you just blamed Christianity for all of the problems. You aren’t going anywhere if you are blaming someone/something.
(the only "authority" they had was self-naming themselves like that)
In fact, most gnostic works seem to point out that christianity had a more "dualistic" and "male is equal to female" approach, with jesus being just half of an Aeon, and Sophia (wisdom, female) being the other half.
Gender is highly outdated, humanism, being the best human we can be, such a top notch idea. You are inspiring. Thank you for your talk. I have subscribed, and find your views, freeing!

What a beautiful human being
She complained about not being an "attractive" woman, but even talked a lot about choosing her hairstyle. Maybe it wasn't that she was destined not to be an attractive woman. Maybe she just chose it (I'm talking purely about looks, which she talked about; I'm sure she might have a wonderful personality but I don't know her).
You should probably raise your standards
Feline Fillet why don't you let people choose who they like?
No its not
I have so much admiration for Rain Dove! Their strength, charisma, likeability and sense of humour. A really enjoyable talk.
LAUGH AUDIENCE XD damn
Kai Hyu I knoooooooowww
shes not funny..
Cassius Dio their jokes were funny but they were nervous so they messed up the delivery
thats called failing.
It's just the mic feed that's why you can't hear the audience
I call people by their first name. I enjoy the topic. boomer here. We invented new words/ideas during the culture revolution. I have an open mind, ready to learn new ideas. It has served me well in these decades. I'm a forever student. That's part of my purpose for this Earth Human journey. What a rich journey this is!
We are spirit on a Human journey. The energy body is eternal. The physical body is our Earth vessel, becomes old and stop. Many have been to Earth journey many times before .... had different physical bodies in both gender and ethnicity.
I've read through this entire comment section and I'll be honest, the love far outweighs the hate. But it's the same few people who are trying to stop the hate. Please, if you can, don't just spread the love, stop the hate too. In whatever way you can, as long as you don't hurt anyone.😊😊😊
The only way to stop hate is to spread love.
Dang, I wish I can hug you and thank you for having this talk.
I feel like Rain Dove didn't practice enough but I did enjoy the message of the talk - too much looking down at the notes, nervous laughter, and speaking too quickly. But still an enlightening talk!
oceanx102 rain just was nervous probably about taking about something that some people see wrong
People who don't have the guts to stand up and talk in public are the first to complain about nerves in speakers
oceanx102 I love your profile pic
Certainly because the audience was so rude. Like looking at their phones, watches, looking down, yawning. It's difficult to speak about such things before bored and closed minded people.
Solidarity pee? I'm so glad I've gone 30s without experiencing that.
Aw rain is so cute so sad the audience couldn’t embrace her brilliance at much as she deserved
This does nothing to fight harmful gender norms. This is taking advantage of it and becoming a con artist, helping no one but yourself.
Erik Victory I know Rain dove is not intersexed, I said I was.
woah are you really?
amazongirl13 (lol 2 year old comment but whatever) Just to note, when using gender pronouns, it’s usually best to stay consistent when referring to the same person in a particular context.
Inspiration for what? To have mental, or hormonal issues?
Vipera01 agree!
One two I think you're secretly Vipera and you're just following your other account around to make it seem like you have people who agree with you. Just a theory cOUGH
I only have one account.
Vipera01 DAMMIT! My theory is totally ruined, and yet i was so certain of it... I guess everything i believe may not be fact.,. hm..
You are amazing!!! I am so inspired by your power!!! That audience is dead
lol yeah, the audience is cringe
I think they're in pure SHOCK. Rain Dove challenges our existing gender structures - BOTH of them. I think the audience is dead quiet because they're trying to understand how to interpret everything. They're mindblown.
I just think it’s because she was a bad speaker. Her nervousness made it a cringe fest.
@Jose Luis Smart and intelligent, huh? Too smart to even listen in the first place, right? That's called willful ignorance, the complete opposite of intelligence.
@@nibbatron6283 no Jose Luis is right the audience is intelligent enough to know they are being deceived. How would you like it if i teach you lies by saying that a square and a circle are the same
"I don't have time for this, im going to be both, I want every advantage I can get" - at least shes honest that this disrespect to societal norms is ENTIRELY selfish
Don't misgender it please
That's all this is.. EGO 110%. They want to bully people into doing what THEY want. The idea that this person is anything other than a statistical anomaly is just wrong scientifically, if she's intersect. Fact is these people want to control everything in society and it is hilarious that they think we are going to just fall in line and ignore thousands of years of societal norms. The sheer ignorance and audacity it has to say these things is truly astonishing. Get some mental help and stop forcing your delusions on the world.
hard to watch i can’t imagine my boredom if i was in the audience
Rain's message is simply golden 💛
it's all lies babe. Just google it if you don't believe me. Most of the things she said on this talk are lies, she admitted it herself.
@@alicealice3267 nothing found. Reported.
@@ClemCuttie reported to who? 😂 The gender police? Rain dove made a video where apologized to all the lies she said in this video then deleted it
Rude audience. Dynamic speaker and very nice person. I did not agree with what the speaker was saying but I've really never seen that level of ignorance come from an audience. Rain did so well to get through it.
She kind of tanked
Interesting to watch some person work out their problems on a stage.
Rain dove is one of the most beautiful people I've ever seen to this day
She's a compulsive liar and has admitted it herself. She lied in this video too. She has even ruined other people's lives with her lies. Still think she is great?
When I say that I could listen to rain for hours, I mean this Rain
you know she's a liar, right?
It’s sad that audience threw her rythym off because that was really good.
Why My imaginary Image of Capitalism is Responsible for My Mental Illness would be a more fitting title.
This person is soooo cool and hilarious. What an awesome tedtalk!
This person is a liar and an abuser and should not being given a platform
Some really great points. Though I've never tried to pass as a guy...and probably couldn't without considerable effort, I have to admit there have been many times....when I've encountered men who are clearly stereotyping me as a woman.....that I have felt that the best and often ONLY way to manage the situation was to totally let them assume whatever it is they are assuming...not waste time and energy trying to correct them....but instead, let their own flawed assumptions/stereotypes/expectations (or lack thereof) be exactly what they are....namely their own handicap.
This women is extremely courageous for this tedx. Insight
jesus why did i not know of him before now? like just now recently i've struggled with gender stereotypes because im amab just trying to navigate the world trying to figure out who i am. i needed this xd like f**k he's like the actual royalty of gender. idk what else to say but an icon truly 😭💜
Totally awesome person
i literally love him so much though i wish i could share my thoughts like this without being perceived as a "social justice warrior"
well rain is biologically a woman so even in your narrow perspective surely it was an acceptable thing for her to do
She's not condescending like a social justice warrior
did you just assume its gender?
That's because Rain seems like an open and nice person. I don't know if you are just from your comment.
H3LL4C1OUS liberal
Let me off this wild ride I want to go back to the 90’s.

Kek. I was looking for that video when I came across this one. Guess I’m not the only one.
those people in the audience are so obnoxious I'm so mad
fiona balleret me too!
maybe they are just bored
You mean triggered
Of course you are
This comment section is terrible so many people are being negative and its just ridiculous.
I really like Rian. I can almost feel the pain rain has went through in life because of how misinformed and cruel some people can be. This really made me question reality and how I perceive other people. I think everyone should be made to watch this video.
Jesus... the title alone...
She's so cute. Love her laughs.
They're really cute. Red is a good colour on them.
They? Were there other speakers as well?
Vipera01 They is a pronoun used to define all genders. not the audience
Bongo Blue But the speaker has only one gender: female.
She is a woman, with serious hormone issues.
Vipera01 who says? how are you soo sure that those are hormone issues? Do some research. I promise that reasearch does not hurt.
How am I so sure? Just take a look at her! Neither healthy men, nor healthy women look like that!
In order to choose "another" identity, you must first believe in the gender beliefs that already exist. Which gives those stories more power.
So some people are upset because they believe that they are not socially attractive, or privileged?
And so they will morph into something else?
She is definitely confused, it sounds like your selfish your self for trying to push this.
Awesome Ted talk. Just found this and hit deep. One of the best Ted Talks I think. thank you for bringing this to light

YASS YES MY LOVELY ANGEL SLAYED THIS TALK FSDK
The world needs to know more of this
This audience is terrible. Wonderful person, wonderful TED talk
At first, I was very confused, but then I realised how the ideas lightened are interesting 🤔 it’s actually a nice superpower to be a woman in some situations and a man in others. It’s very advantageous!
Is there even an audience? It's not that hard to laugh at a joke or a funny remark! Seriously, what a horrible audience...
You are not obliged to laugh at something that is not funny
Well, I actually enjoy those facts Rain pointed out about especially being over human population. Some audiences may experience difficulties about this topic, which means they may have their own ways of identity differentiation and logic thoughts of the way they were raised. So don't mind the audiences.
I'd love to see her perform in the middle east, it would be a warm welcome ♥
“Pay attention to me!!! I’m so atypical!!!”
This is absolutely incredible I love the way that our world is evolving, slowly evolving to a point that is really outward appearance doesn't define a person but it's the inside, how you feel about yourself that really count
Isaac Riley An epidemic of narcissism and denial of basic truths.
Rain dove wasn't a firefighter or a graduate of Berkeley or whatever else they lied about.
exactly!!! and she got paid to ruin asia argento's reputation! Also, all those "educating"convos she posts on social media are fake because those accounts are fake! Let's keep bringing this up!
I am multiple years too late! Man would I really be more aware of more things if I had seen this when it came out. They are such a wonderful and intriguing person and I love how invested they are in gender non-conforming fashion. I'm just so sad that they were so nervous about presenting, knowing anxiety myself I can see it all over their face :(
I’m a disabled student. Could some kind soul help me with my bills? Thanks $astralharmony cash app
I’ll pay it forward
It doesn't make me sad that they were nervous. It makes me feel proud of their bravery. No one can be automatically good at everything. I have anxiety too but I've been trying hard to step out of my comfort zone. That's how we grow!
Could she be any more self-obsessed? Key message "be manipulative". Gender capitalism is just like capitalism, no apology needed if you win.
Rain Dove you are awesome! You speak 100% truth not clouded by politics...poor me tactics and other social justice warrior tactics!
Thank you Rain Dove for being such a positive role model in the industry!
wow they're gorgeous AND articulate??? how did ze gain these powers
im so tired of them forcing us this way. Boy george was humilated back in the 80s, but he fought tooth n nail together with his massive global fans. That was genuinely strong. This one seems pathetically forced.

"I don't have time to be disadvantage...I got important things to do in this planet and now i made a living of that mentality. "
It's funny that in this gender restrictive culture she was able to made a living of it.
I'm crying since the speech and Rain Dove in general are so inspirational. I'd have loved to be in that audience.
Based audience.
I love this person!! Why do we let gender hold us back when people of all genders have so much to contribute to the world?
Janine Anderson I'm so glad you agree, this comment section is ridden with negativity
"all genders"? Two is referenced as "both" not "all".
There are only two genders, so you can't say "all", it's not grammatically correct. Also, gender doesn't hold you back in any way, successful people are successful because they worked hard to get to where they are, without wasting their time thinking about trivial issues like their gender.
Yvandres QR: You are correct, of course. Those that CHOOSE victimhood have to say it's something, anything that is holding them back. Instead of making something of themselves they CHOOSE not to. So sad.
Bill and Yvandres nobody cares :)
