These trains are really heavy! They weigh about 15 tons, so they don't get top fuel acceleration, but it still easily beats a Tesla. Restraints for rides are really heavy because they not only need to work, but they also need to open and close easily and quickly, and fit a variety of people comfortably.
I been on this with my kids so many times. Hell of a short ride. Everyone thinks on there first time that the tall section is the scariest part, oh how they where so confused, the launch is what rips your soul out your body.
I tend to avoid King Da Ka because of how much of a bad headache I get after but when I do I always expect the “being at the top” part being the worst but man that launch is so fast that I can’t even scream or react I’m just frozen in place.
I have one word for this nightmare: WHY???? Not in a million years, for perfect health and all bills paid forever with MY Ryan Reynolds sitting next to me, would get me on this thing.

If you’re new to coasters and are terrified to ride this, just know that the height and drop are virtually nothing after that launch. You don’t even realize how far you drop before the ride is over. It’ll be the craziest 35 seconds ever, but so worth the rush.
There is only 1 other coaster that us kind of similar to this one, it is at cedar point in Ohio, but far i know it isn't doesn't go as high, But this ride is astronomically fun, but you definitely have to build up to it, cause of how strong that g force is when it takes off, that is insane but is over in a instant, the best most fun part of this ride, is making it over the slow hump, an then that crazy corkscrew twist as you plumet back down, you just have to keep your eyes open, it is so freaking fun, The only sad part is sometimes it doesn't make it over that hump, an it falls all the way back down to the start, I've seen it happen a few times while at the park, but never been on there when it did, Still that aspect of it seems kinda iffy, an anytime i saw that, doesn't seem like those same people get to go again, seems like they close the ride if it does that, but i could be wrong, Still as long as she is working, it is definitely worth it, it feels like a last ride of the day kinda deal, that is like the epic conclusion to the day, cause after that no other ride comes close except for maybe nitro, but in a different way, An the new wonder women ride, also very different, but still epic in that same sense.
I'm a rollercoaster junkie but I'm also afraid of heights. I have always been able to overcome the heights on rollercoasters because I love them so much and usually I feel pretty secure in the restraints and since there's not much pausing on a coaster, the sheer speed keeps me from having time to even process that I'm so high up. The only coaster that I almost can't handle is the Goliath at Six Flags in GA. It's not so much the height, which is high af, as much as it's the restraints or lack of. No seat belts or over the shoulder restraints or even a lap bar to hang onto. It just had this thing that comes up between the knees but it isn't wide enough to even cover your lap. The only thing there is to hold onto are 2 tiny handles on the sides of the thing between your knees but it's at an awkward angle so I never feel secure in it. I wrapped my legs around the bar under the restraint thing and held onto what I could but honestly I think if my legs weren't wrapped around the thing between my knees I'd be in danger of flying out of the car This one in the video looks fun but that one may be too high for me. It's not even the height as much as it going straight up that bothers me! Especially since at the crest on top of the hill it sounds like it's seriously struggling to get up there and like it's about to snap and plummet backwards.
It’s not the height that’s crazy, it’s the launch.

I would not get on that , never even if someone pay me to 😂💀
Same!!!! And even if someone offered me to have s*x, I STILL would never get on it! And Idgaf what some people say or think of me, I STILL would never get on it! Period!!
Skill issue
@@jennikifm2rollercoasters are safer than vending machines bud
@@jennikifm2It's okay, me neither. I know if I did get on it, I'd need new pants afterwards from pissing myself. So yeah, I'm good.
I’ve been on it a few times, it’s definitely worth it especially the launch
Is anyone gonna talk about how the whole thing was shaking at the very end
No, because this ride has operated safely since 2005 and it's designed to do that.
No way in f ing hell am I doing that unless they want to deal with a body bag at the end of the ride. Lol 😂
dude with his arms up put em down real quick 💀💀
Look out CP is cooking something for next year!
No they aren't lmfao
That's possibly the worst abbreviation i've ever seen.
Idk how the roller coaster can manage that freefall without falling or getting damaged its just impressing of how human technology works.
every time I see it still can't believe I got on that
Looks amazing!
I've ridden this several times...it's amazing!!!
This has been on my list for YEARS now ! I have to get here.
Great adventure is my home park and I feel the same way about X2 at magic mountain
Wonder how many G’S you are pulling with that 20,000 HP blast-off!???!!😬😬😬😵💫😵💫
Not as many as maxx force which goes 0-78 in 1.8 seconds
These trains are really heavy! They weigh about 15 tons, so they don't get top fuel acceleration, but it still easily beats a Tesla. Restraints for rides are really heavy because they not only need to work, but they also need to open and close easily and quickly, and fit a variety of people comfortably.
HUGE difference in tallest, & FASTEST.
Not the fastest tho
I been on this with my kids so many times. Hell of a short ride. Everyone thinks on there first time that the tall section is the scariest part, oh how they where so confused, the launch is what rips your soul out your body.
I tend to avoid King Da Ka because of how much of a bad headache I get after but when I do I always expect the “being at the top” part being the worst but man that launch is so fast that I can’t even scream or react I’m just frozen in place.
One of my favorites. This coaster is definitely for the adrenaline junkies like myself. One of the best coaster’s I’ve ever ridden.
i could never😭
I’ve gone on so many school field trips to six flags I’m telling you this ride is not for the weak. I’ve seen grown men cry & ditch the line.
Go ahead, have fun, ill watch you from down here
Coaster was ahead of its time. There werent many 200 foot hyper coasters in 2005 and some nutjob said hmmm lets make it 450 feet tall 💀
It’s a near-clone of a coaster that opened in 2003.
When it launched I couldn’t keep my eyes open that’s how fast and hard the wind was hitting my face
That looks extremely fun 😀
I have one word for this nightmare: WHY????
Not in a million years, for perfect health and all bills paid forever with MY Ryan Reynolds sitting next to me, would get me on this thing.
Why not?
@@lemmofemmo because it’s insane and terrifies me- ‘nuff said really in first response!!!
@@elaineb4490 it's like 20 seconds
@@lemmofemmo and that would seem like 20 years to me.

Mad respect for those who ride this crazy roller coast
Ive rode it & it's fun but unless you get at opening & ride it. It's not worth it bc it's such a short ride & such a long wait in line
Not true..ive been there on days its 20 minute wait..just depends when your going
@@jeffbizie True, but it's still not worth it if it is really busy. Waiting like an hour for a 25 second ride is obviously stupid.
@@PlatinumEagleStudios guess it depends how much you like the coaster right? To each there own..im just saying...I've actually been there many times and got walk ons
@@jeffbizie And that's when the ride is worth it 🙂. But I personally think it's bad if the line is like an hour long. You gotta agree with that. I'm pretty sure you would hate waiting like an hour just for a 25 second ride.
@@PlatinumEagleStudios I would agree with that..I do not like waiting in line lol. I always get flash pass ,fast lane/quick que. I was only stating I've seen the ride line not always a full que..not that it's worth it🤣 but yes I do agree. I wouldn't even wait longer than 40 to ride fury325 or iron gwazi if i didnt use fast lane/quick que and those are some of my favorite coasters lol.
And then they take off.
No, but they are fast as a plane taking off ;-)
And it's interesting to see the cable that's pulling them - and the water cooling for the cable ;-))
It seems to be necessary. Friction causes heat.
Been on this ride, the launch is so difficult to explain it was that crazy. Tallest ride in the world!
(Whoever tried to keep their hands up, rip 😂)
Definition of wait in line for 3 hours for a 10 second ride
Definitely an intensely awesome ride!
Mis respetos para los ingenieros detrás de esta atracción 👏
The rollercoaster: time to go crazy
*proceeds to make 20,800 hp*
It doesn't look like much in the video but when you're up that high and looking straight down it's terrifying!!!
Rollercoasters are so amazing. I love rollercoasters so much.
I love the sound of the winch winding
Engineering is dope. Just seeing this inspired me to go to engineering school
Someday
Do they spray the cable with water to keep it cool?
Fun fact, the GeForce for this is about half the amount you get in a flighter jet
This roller coaster is so much fun. I can’t wait to do it again. Next time I go to Six Flags NJ
I would never have the courage to ride this. Okay, maybe if I were guaranteed $1 million.
If you’re new to coasters and are terrified to ride this, just know that the height and drop are virtually nothing after that launch. You don’t even realize how far you drop before the ride is over. It’ll be the craziest 35 seconds ever, but so worth the rush.
There is only 1 other coaster that us kind of similar to this one, it is at cedar point in Ohio, but far i know it isn't doesn't go as high,
But this ride is astronomically fun, but you definitely have to build up to it, cause of how strong that g force is when it takes off, that is insane but is over in a instant, the best most fun part of this ride, is making it over the slow hump, an then that crazy corkscrew twist as you plumet back down, you just have to keep your eyes open, it is so freaking fun,
The only sad part is sometimes it doesn't make it over that hump, an it falls all the way back down to the start, I've seen it happen a few times while at the park, but never been on there when it did,
Still that aspect of it seems kinda iffy, an anytime i saw that, doesn't seem like those same people get to go again, seems like they close the ride if it does that, but i could be wrong,
Still as long as she is working, it is definitely worth it, it feels like a last ride of the day kinda deal, that is like the epic conclusion to the day, cause after that no other ride comes close except for maybe nitro, but in a different way,
An the new wonder women ride, also very different, but still epic in that same sense.
TDG #1 FULLSUPPORT THIS EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS ROLLER COASTER ALWAYS BIG FAX
I wrapped my legs around the bar under the restraint thing and held onto what I could but honestly I think if my legs weren't wrapped around the thing between my knees I'd be in danger of flying out of the car
This one in the video looks fun but that one may be too high for me. It's not even the height as much as it going straight up that bothers me! Especially since at the crest on top of the hill it sounds like it's seriously struggling to get up there and like it's about to snap and plummet backwards.
once u ride this roller coaster, ur gonna feel like u can ride any other roller coaster in the whole six flags
wow the birds circling at the top makes it look even taller! great shot
