I’ve always wanted to try a fragrance with a leather note in it. I’m new to fragrances and all of these combinations can be overwhelming which is why I enjoy your breakdown of the scent. You know how to make my mind imagine the smell before I test it out for myself. And with the help of DecantX I’ve been able to dip my toe in the fragrance waters without feeling like I wasted my money. Another alternative I'd like to suggest is Cuir Cafe by Happyland Studio. Imagine Ombre Leather mixed with pure espresso. If coffee isn't your thing, definitely a hard-pass. If it is, definitely worth sampling!

I just discovered Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche today ( I know right?!). Freaking LOVE IT! So are you saying that Lolita Lempicka scratches that same itch so you dont have to spend that nearly $200 (I'm Canadian) Would need to be a blind buy as I have never smelled the LL one, but I feel like I really need this DNA in my life asap !
They don’t smell the same! But they can serve a similar purpose due to some similar types of ingredients. But there’s no guarantee you’d prefer the LL over the Chanel. If you already love the Chanel, I’d save up for it!
Smooth yazz. I never understood the hype behind Ombre Leather. I find it nice but not crazy good or special. Everyone has different tastes I suppose. I prefer leather fragrances like Molinard's Cuir and Dior's Cuir Cannage.

When I first smelled it a couple weeks ago at sephora, it blew me away I'm like any fragrance had in at least a few months. Raffaello sounds appealing, because Leather, while a good, masculine note, can sometimes be pretty harsh, and with some of the other notes in Raffaello, it sounds more wearable, and venturing out, from just a bold, leather fragrance. Great video, and some things I've never heard of, to try, and expand my scent palate. Appreciate you, and enjoyed your original, at the beginning, as well.~
Enrico Coveri’s Pour Homme is extremely close to Green Irish Tweed. EC is spicy and has no mint, but on the skin after about twenty minutes they are very similar. One is 22 bucks and the other is 300.00. I own both and wear the EC nearly everyday.

JC, Thanks! While I have an original formulation of Jub25 & a 1St reform of it, I would not say these are overhyped. But if it has been watered down even more, I'm in total agreement with you. This appears to be happening with frags more & more, weakening juice and embellishing exterior, as PPL tend to eat with their eyes not realizing that it's what's inside that matters most. But I digress, as frags are subjective & personal, and if materials are not available for whatever reason,the fragrance brands still have power to change frags on the fact that scent is subjective & personal as one generations taste will differ from the former scent wise. All that said, I very much appreciate you & your content, as you keep things fresh & moving. Love your song * Riding. The flow felt with the music had the feeling of taking a ride somewhere, going fast & slow, around curves, up hill & down hill. Hahaha!, like this, frag journey we've been on. Best. A2!

I agree with the rest of your list justin ...But I've gota say the chanel edition blanche is to this Day and I've owned all of em for a good few years that it's one of my most complimented fragrances I wear on spring and summer nights and there is something about the channel scents that women just find 😏👀🙏

I'm interested in Raffaello because I love edgy fragrances. I personally love ombre leather, and ch men prive which I see as my edgy bad boy fragrances. From a different perspective, I also like really strong fragrances like oud for greatness, parfums de marly herod, and stronger with you intensly. If this fragrance can give a different twist on some aspects of those two worlds of fragrances, then I'm all in.

I have been interested in trying out different leather fragrances since being turned onto African Leather. So far, Ganymede (wearing today) and B683 are nice. Raffaello sounds like it could be similar to those in that there is a nice wearable leather, but having other different character to back it up and support to make it unique and interesting.
Been into leather fragrances for a minute, having tried Tuscan Leather, Ombre Leather, having Fahrenheit and planning to buy the EDP version as well, so I’m sure trying Raffaello would be a nice experience, and who knows, maybe a future buy… Em From Queens, NYC
If you like those leathers, I'd reccomend sampling Byredo Rodeo or Black Saffron. Recently I fell in love with this one called Bakelite and it's completely transformative! Reminds me of looking through a wormhole into a montage of the late 80s early 90s lolol

I picked up both of your fresh boxes when they first came out on decantx and I think African Leather from Memo smells a hundred times better than Ombré Leather.
I had two of the five (Chanel AHB & Jubi 25).....Jubilation is likely in my top 10 of all time....it is elegant and very unique....it's waaaay better than Overture....I wasn't a fan of Overture, I got a sample, it was too harsh and not pleasant in my opinion....not smooth at all....Jubilation 25 definitely puts it to shame
Before watching the video, looking at the title, ombre leather instantly came to mind. I don’t like tuscan leather and ombre leather is almost the same to me but less potent but still headache inducing. I used to like bentley intense with that amazing boozy opening but now I can’t handle it because all I smell is the leather. D&G the one gets my vote not on the list. Great scent but the absolute worst performing scent that I have. Stronger with you, layered with molecule 01 is a better alternative. Also TF noir extreme the new king of date night scents IMO
I agree ombre leather is overhyped. The biggest reason i think is its accessibly priced for a Tom Ford Fragrance. So its more a status for non Frag Heads to say "I'm wearing a Tom Ford"

Raffaello sounds like a unique fragrance based on your description and I am always on the look out for fragrances that are a bit different.

Been into leather fragrances for a minute, having tried Tuscan Leather, Ombre Leather, having Fahrenheit and planning to buy the EDP version as well, so I’m sure trying Raffaello would be a nice experience, and who knows, maybe a future buy…

If you like those leathers, I'd reccomend sampling Byredo Rodeo or Black Saffron. Recently I fell in love with this one called Bakelite and it's completely transformative! Reminds me of looking through a wormhole into a montage of the late 80s early 90s lolol

Great Description of the fragrances and amazing alternative fragrances Justin. I bought Lolita Lempicka Greenlover a few months ago and it's a really fantastic scent. It seems that I have to try Pantheon Roma fragrance but it's really expensive! Should I wait for Black Friday?hmm I really don't know!!

I picked up both of your fresh boxes when they first came out on decantx and I think African Leather from Memo smells a hundred times better than Ombré Leather.
I love African Leather.
I had two of the five (Chanel AHB & Jubi 25).....Jubilation is likely in my top 10 of all time....it is elegant and very unique....it's waaaay better than Overture....I wasn't a fan of Overture, I got a sample, it was too harsh and not pleasant in my opinion....not smooth at all....Jubilation 25 definitely puts it to shame

Before watching the video, looking at the title, ombre leather instantly came to mind. I don’t like tuscan leather and ombre leather is almost the same to me but less potent but still headache inducing. I used to like bentley intense with that amazing boozy opening but now I can’t handle it because all I smell is the leather. D&G the one gets my vote not on the list. Great scent but the absolute worst performing scent that I have. Stronger with you, layered with molecule 01 is a better alternative. Also TF noir extreme the new king of date night scents IMO

I agree ombre leather is overhyped. The biggest reason i think is its accessibly priced for a Tom Ford Fragrance. So its more a status for non Frag Heads to say "I'm wearing a Tom Ford"
I just wanna reiterate that I’m not saying it is a bad scent. I think it smells great. I’m just trying to turn people on to lesser-discussed scents.

When I smell Ombré Leather it reminds me of leather that I only smell in Mexico like the boots, belts and the leather sandals
I like this series but you're recommending more expensive and harder to find alternatives. I believe the general consumer is looking for a more accessible (especially for sampling), valued scent to the overhyped ones.

Only a few of the “alternatives” are a little more expensive. It’s about 50/50. And once again, it’s not simply about my alternatives, it’s about seeking fragrances outside of the norm. My picks are just starting places.
