This new format is mega! The longer podcasts with one guest ran dry for me once all the decent guests had been on. This short snappy on topic and frequent are the way forward. Also really like the new presenter and his style. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Loved the podcast - flows really well. Simon Davey - Lockstock as we knew him by was an incredible angler... First met him along with most of his local mates on the Waveney Valley lakes, and he was a fishing machine. As Damo said, he's attitude to procession was quite incredible, and caught so many big carp from around the country, he was truly a devastating angler and will be truly missed.
Loving the new format, gives a different dimension to a podcast. I think a good topic would be for new anglers, eg tackle, venue and location, baits etc Paul
Loving this lads. Just a chat between friends that we all do. Some interesting topics too. Bait colour and time of year. I’ve found fruitella pink/purple and custard yellow pineapple my two favourite. But it can vary which they prefer
Loving this format. I would love to hear about people thought on different baiting scenarios. I prefer spodding but recently I have been doing some lighter fishing without my spod rod meaning I’m using throwing sticks and catapult for boilies only fishing. Would love to hear what baits the boys like using, if they still do boilies only fishing, or prefer the buffet setup I think a majority of anglers use.
Great watch and can pick up so much new things to introduce into my angling. You mentioned about future questions, hear alot of people say im targeting this certain carp. How would you or do you target a single carp ? . Look forward to the next podcast 😊
This is a superb set up with you 4 ! Brilliant show Ad your superb mate as the host 👌🏻 Oh and i do think it was the big one Damo lost I even said that to Ben and jay 😮, it won’t be long though before Damo catches it 💪🏻 Nice one 👍🏻
😅Mega podcast, great to hear/see damo more ... fantastic angler, spooner that lake near the river in france is a mega one (I fished there a few times myself) ...
Personally think in deep water a pop up is better as i think the carp in deep lakes get so used to a spod they take the bait on the drop??? Saw this happening in a nash video filmed with a drone.
Great watch I would like to know your view on boat baits and how to use them do you drop on a tight line or drop slack plus do you change due to the depths 😊
Loving the format, be good to have u talk about backleads, when and where to use , can you use them in a bit a weed are flying backleads any good , i tend to use captive lbackleads so they not on line once fish on n less weight when playing but i use them all the time to stop rangles when playing fish near net, but could the affect my indication of bites by using them not in the right situations, be great to hear yourvthoughrs on this
Excellent stuff fellas , I'd love to hear your views on soaking boilies, adding liquid foods etc , Does it make any difference if you gave an already quality boilie or is it all hype ? Also your experience of using groundbait good, bad, or indifferent?
Great pod cast, loving this new format. Danny mentioned in a pod cast a while back, that he doesn't like to reinvent the wheel which is why Korda don't make certain products. I am curious what are the guys go to non korda product that they use on a regular basis?
Great stuff lads. Was just wondering have u got any veiws on the waiting list times now on syndicate lakes. And how u go about getting on lists that are full and never spaces coming up. All the best Damien
Question for the next episode lads… Is there any way I can stop the crimped end section of the boom from catching in my net after I’ve unclipped the hooklength with a fish on before putting it in a sling to lift out as I’d rather unhook the fish on the bank rather than potentially damage the fish by trying to unhook it especially during the night whilst still in the net. I’ve clipped the tag end as short as possible and it still catches now and again. Cheers Paul
Great Podcast again guys ! I would like to know what tiny edges/tweaks/differences has helped put more fish on the bank. The 1mm off the wafters is brilliant and Damo is the oracle so would be good to hear what tiny edges puts you guys in the top 1%
Two subjects Long or short hooklinks With a few lakes being easier to get to by flying out with rods bivvy and bed chairs etc supplied how do you go about taking reels and terminal tackle etc
My topic of conversation would be depth. I fish some really deep pits 20 to 30ft I know in the winter they fish really well in the depths however right now october still fairly mild I've noticed the deeper areas are fizzing up maybe on naturals my question would be what experiences have you had fishing deep areas in early autumn temperatures etc
Tip for Damo and that fish he is after , it’s a hand reared stocky pellets only you’ll have it no time lol open water I.e long step or highpoint and just pellets 🤪! P.s the new format is great 👍🏼
Question for the next episode. Why do people back wind and not use the clutch? I get that years ago the clutches were pretty crap, but now those days are gone especially when some of the reels you use cost upwards of £600 each.
Playing off the clutch can cause line twist for certain types of line. I use Fluorocarbon and kept getting line twist when using the clutch. Started using the back wind method and I no longer get the line twist issue.
Mmmm I used to carp fish for about 15 years and never came across line twist and I was using braid and mono. I now lure fish where the reel and line (always braid) makes all the difference and again I never had an issue with line twist.
Not sure on Damo recasting for a couple of bleeps, could be a small fish knocking the line in the margins, but I get not be able to sleep with any doubt
Great format, a real refreshing change. Questions were a bit “same old same old” how about being a bit more edgy like “what are your thoughts on spring loaded hooking systems, & would you use them?”
Talk about public lakes, how you would approach them with no known knowledge of the lake whether that’s stock, depth or location of them. I’m from america so that could be your base. We also deal with turtles a lot so any insight on how to combat that
Guys can get your thoughts please? I’m fishing a lake that’s not often carp fished more pleasure and match style anglers, but has a good head of carp up to 35lb, weighed when it was netted 2 years ago, but has never been caught anywhere near this weight, the lake record is only 27lb and that was 7 years ago, but from the netting we know there’s at least 5 carp 30lb+ and at the time another 6 25lb+ The bottom is pretty much featureless, margins are 4ft and then it gently slopes down to 8-9ft, but with no obvious drop offs or shelves. The bottom is nearly entirely clay but the odd patch of silt but hard to find, sometimes I find a little bit of low lying silk weed but very little. It’s basically a clay bowl that’s about 4 acres. I’ve chosen this lake for a winter carp campaign as it’s a bit of an enigma to me and want to conquer it. Boilies seem to get no attention and can only be used as a hook bait. I’ve found Robin red and halibut pellets are the best hook baits, and also had fish on pink slow sinking corn. But I can’t seem to pick out the bigger fish. Any thoughts on how to approach it?
Great chaps to be fair, better look at all 4 lads on show no offence rich haha.. would like to see more of damo to be fair, a dark, quiet horse, but hell, a fountain of knowledge.... more on stiff hinges, chods, and pva bag work fellas..
Joined a new water early this year just went about my own fishing done 2 nights and a handful of days there's 2 lakes on the ticket I've had 2 of the biggest carp in both with very little time just going on what I'm seeing I'm not interested in all the this many wraps and this spot .. I think alot of people full into this way of fishing rather than reading the water .. would be nice to talk about walking around the lake rather than walking into the swim and wrapping up to the spot everyone else fishes water craft seams lost on alot of people who just fish like robots. . Be nice to get a perspective on your thoughts on this
Spooner hurry up and catch a 50 and put these boys to bed!! If you don’t work out you should be fishing everything other than the spots on your syndicate take a step back and think about your angling 👊
Free speech is trying to be stepped on because it hurts feelings which is absolutely not what our country is about, but if you fly a different flag and shout that's OK. As a country we need to stand without any aggression to show that we want to take back our streets and to look after our own before others. We cannot continue to allow the borders to just be an open gate policy as it is crippling our country.

Thanks for the feedback Neil. We are aiming to get these out every two weeks. 👍👍 glad you are enjoying them
Very fitting tribute to a great friend and to anyone who knew him would agree one hell of an angler

Loving this free-form format of podcast with these lads. All have valuable insight and experience and top baby’s.
Loving it.
Love this format, better than biography style podcasts. And you can learn something. Thank you korda
The comments are right . Right people , right format . We’ll done once again Korda . Very interesting . Thanks 👍👍👍
YES, YES, YES!!! This is what we need following oasis getting back together! Well done boys, Damo is a book of knowledge.
Class lads as always, would love to hear you talking about hook baits and how you prep for winter.
Items of Nostalgic tackle for all the guys as I know Damo is a bit of a collector
He’s got a carp fishing museum
Loved the podcast - flows really well.

Loving the new format. I would like to know your opinions on back leads or flying back leads, when to use them, do you use them etc 👍
Seeing how rob burgess uses the flying back leads as back leads was a real edge for me to be honest.
@@Joshmfinch Cheers Josh I will check it out 👍
Great podcast lads love these new pods! Great fun !
Great one again guys
Really enjoyed it
Great story to finish off damo about trawlerman -RIP
Excellent Pod Lads 👌 Some Really Good Topics & Tips Lovely Touch From Dammo Re Simon What a Superb Angler May he Rest in Peace 🙏
Excellent format. Really enjoyable. 👌
Being a punisher is where it's at. Great advice for the new anglers coming into a sport
Enjoying the new format👍
Loving the new format, gives a different dimension to a podcast. I think a good topic would be for new anglers, eg tackle, venue and location, baits etc

Nice one Paul… thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. New anglers or something for new anglers is a good shout 💪🏻
Great show keep them coming
best pod cast , enjoyable keep them coming
Loving this lads. Just a chat between friends that we all do. Some interesting topics too.
Bait colour and time of year. I’ve found fruitella pink/purple and custard yellow pineapple my two favourite. But it can vary which they prefer

Nice one 👍🏻
Great conversations 🙂👍
😅Mega podcast, great to hear/see damo more ... fantastic angler, spooner that lake near the river in france is a mega one (I fished there a few times myself) ...
talk about setups, ie rods, reels, and lines for long-distance casting. hitting clips to hard to soft, etc.
When are the new Korda camo waterproof jackets come out
Great listen guys
Personally think in deep water a pop up is better as i think the carp in deep lakes get so used to a spod they take the bait on the drop??? Saw this happening in a nash video filmed with a drone.

Got to be a spomb, hasn’t it.
Great stuff lads.
Was just wondering have u got any veiws on the waiting list times now on syndicate lakes. And how u go about getting on lists that are full and never spaces coming up.

They ain't going to answer that one😂

Paul
Protect the main line with your nail and blob the tag end into the crimp to smooth it out.
Might not stop it but will definitely help.
Roll some putty over it, then dip in the water for a minute to set it firm.
It will be nice and smooth after.
Maybe a bit of shrink tubing over the crimp just to cover the tag end and keep it all smooth
Interested to hear how you guys fish with restrictive rules - would Tom fish helis on a tubing only water?
It would be nice if you showed every picture on the big scren to us as i see your podcast on my telly🙏please
Lovely listen lads!! Here's one for you... Would a shot on the hook work with any bottom rig? Just because of the weight... 🤔🤞🏻👌🏻💯
How much of a role do liquids play in your fishing and if at all when do you incorporate salt into your bait?
Great Podcast again guys ! I would like to know what tiny edges/tweaks/differences has helped put more fish on the bank. The 1mm off the wafters is brilliant and Damo is the oracle so would be good to hear what tiny edges puts you guys in the top 1%
How would you tackle a four acres lake that had only 15 carp that is extremely silty/chody
I'd be interested in your opinions on fish meal vs birdseed based boilies for different seasons
May Simon rest in peace with all the giant carps that have passed.
legend says you land every fish that bites in the afterlife. much love from Canada.
Two subjects
Long or short hooklinks
With a few lakes being easier to get to by flying out with rods bivvy and bed chairs etc supplied how do you go about taking reels and terminal tackle etc
Brilliant show needs be longer how about hiw do you guys prepare for a weeks fishing abroad

Do you have any tackle that has been given to you or you have bought that means the most to you or wouldn’t be without

Line twist
To avoid line twist
Mmmm I used to carp fish for about 15 years and never came across line twist and I was using braid and mono. I now lure fish where the reel and line (always braid) makes all the difference and again I never had an issue with line twist.
Not sure on Damo recasting for a couple of bleeps, could be a small fish knocking the line in the margins, but I get not be able to sleep with any doubt
Good podcast. How about fishmeals in winter yes or no and winter baiting strategy on waters that ban naturals.
Great format, a real refreshing change. Questions were a bit “same old same old” how about being a bit more edgy like “what are your thoughts on spring loaded hooking systems, & would you use them?”
54:32 Taking 1mn off a roller ball is next level detail. Bonkers 😂
Damo = Details
I’ve been using the putty on the hook since the under water and it works absolutely perfect with some foam PVA. Can’t wait to hear this 🎉
Quality viewing guys what's everybody's ideal lake & baiting stratagy look forward to the next video 🎣 👊
Talk about public lakes, how you would approach them with no known knowledge of the lake whether that’s stock, depth or location of them. I’m from america so that could be your base. We also deal with turtles a lot so any insight on how to combat that
Thanks for the message, great turtle question 🐢 not sure anyone apart from Master Splinter can deal with them 😂😂😂
Guys can get your thoughts please?

Damo is going to be one of the pillars for this new format. The info he has is literally limitless 👍👍👍

Where is alan hamidie, he seems to know everything about everything

Wheres the controversial talk like the ethic behind the carp fishing industry using forced labour
😂😂
sort the mics out lads the audio is shocking
