I have been watching CTB from the beginning. I am a retired Black Angus rancher. After 50 years in the business I like to think I see a good rancher when I see one. Your compassion, knowledge plus quest for more, love for your bison, and your business sense makes me think you will grow your herd and become a success. You are a good rancher. We all have to make decisions when it comes to the welfare of our animals. You are doing it in front of a large audience which in my way of thinking makes it really difficult. I think you gather the information you need and make informed decisions. Along the way you have been educating your viewers. From the comments I think the viewers consists of a lot of inexperienced folks with lots of why do you do this questions. The Lumpy and Popcorn and Mama Popcorn situations are going to be big learning experiences for all. You are doing it the right way and I, for one, am waiting for the outcome of these situations. Thank you for your experience after all these years. You are absolutely right in your assessment. Dusty is a super rancher, and the audience mainly love the animals and have many questions. On each video, we learn more and more. As a city girl living in France, I'll never meet a Bison but they fascinate me!

My heart hurts for the little mama and her calf. Praying they both recover and have good health. The bulls are deciding who fits where in the pecking order. You sure can tell which bull is from which herd. Your original bulls look nice and healthy with great muscle tone. The two new ones need some extra loving. I love that you take the health of each animal to heart. You will get them in good shape soon.

They are Bison. They can run up to 35 miles an hour too. I love them also.

Dusty, I was very glad to hear that a couple of those 2-yo bulls are seeders. Cause I noticed one in particular has great confirmation and a realy good looking Bull! You’re doing a great job on recovering these animals. They will respond positively with your and Kevin’s care and treatment. Best wishes with the new ranch! I have brought some thin animals back and it is rough to see them at first. A product that has worked the fastest and is available on a national level is total corporations bovine formula. Even if you only feed for 6 months the results will be amazing.

You might want to try a little milk replacement for that little calf to see if you can improve the growth there and reduce the bloating. She should be able to drink from a bucket or feeder. I'm sure you will get them back in shape. Looks like they all needed that worming and some high quality groceries...then it's just a matter of time.

Dusty another good video very Informative on what your doing and why. I loved hearing the 2 year old bulls grunting while getting worked. Baby popcorn melted my heart. She was scared and didn't know what was going on and she was grunting alot. She wanted back with momma. So sad the previous owner leaving in this kind of state. I hope momma Popcorn snaps back stronger than ever. I hate to see animals as they are now thin needing food and attention. If anybody can help them it's Kevin and you. Glad Popcorn is a little girl. I just love watching you w/your family all on board! That’s what it takes to be successful at anything… backing & support! I’ve been watching now for about 2-3 wks! I LOVE DUNBAR & Eleanor! I love them all but they’re my 2 favs. Oh, & of course Lumpy! I sure hope there’s a solution other than the obvious. Poor baby. Poor you!! I know how hard it is when you lose a member of your herd. We used to raise steers here in Ky many years ago. I had my own “herd”! He would run w/me through the barn. His mama died & I bottle fed him. He was a 400lb steer out in the field & I go out & call him… come on herd… here he’s come just running!! 😁 you’ve got such a good & gentle heart about you. You just be xtra careful around those bulls & those mama’s! I know how dangerous pet bulls can be. I’m sure bison are as bad. I know mama’s are too when it comes to their calves. I had a mama get me down in my papaws lot when I was about 5yrs old. To this day I know it was just the Lird w/me that day! That’s been 51yrs ago! BTW… very quick delivery in my Dunbar T-shirt!! Thanks so very much! Y’all keep doing such a good job! ❤️🦬

Oh, those poor skinny Bison - especially mama and little popcorn. I'm sure they will feed from the love you give them as well as the good grub you provide. Hope the 2 yos don't get bullied too much - being the new kids in town and all - but they look strong enough for the next adventure. Keeping fingers crossed for new mama and little popcorn.

Say Grace over the groceries as you pour them to these needing animals. Praying that each mouthful they get has the right amount of the right nutrients they need to recover. You can only do what you can for them. The fight is theirs. At least they have someone who cares that is looking after them.
