I'm a metastatic breast cancer patient. The cancer spread to my 4, 5, 6, and 7th vertebrae, left rib, and recently, my lumbar spine. The pain is horrible. Three times radiation. The first time was 10 sessions, and the second time was one, and the most recent one was also a one-time session. The pain gets worse when I'm lying on my back. That's when the spine gets compressed. There is so much to learn. The spine is divided into so many parts. Is confusing. I appreciate the way it is explained in this video. It helps to understand so much. Is so scary! I'm so thankful to be walking on my own for three years now. Steroids don't help me with pain. My Oncology is doing the best she can and my whole team, but I have so many doubts on my head. No one to talk to. I feel so lonely in this process. My faith keeps me going.
I am metastatic cervix cancer too which spread to my lymph node and spinal cord of 4,5…. I totally felt ur pain, stay strong, and please put your faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.❤
I too now suffering from spinal cored compression due to metastatic bc...hard to urinate and pass stool...im afraid of radiation..can you advice me and tell me more bout it?
@aileenm.939 I'm sorry to hear that. Does any medication you are using cause these issues? I was in the same situation as you are. Urination got much better. Stools, I'm still working on that. What was causing me those problems were pain meds that they were giving me. I asked the doc to change them. Urinary is fine now, but stool softeners are not quite easy to find. What helped me a little was taking through the but also clearing the intestines. Ask your doctor for saline enema. That will help you unclog from the bottom (I know it sounds weird, but there's no other way to put it), which is what you need to do as soon as possible. There's Fleet Laxatives. It worked pretty fast for me. Please make sure you are a candidate to use them. Ask your provider. Hope this works for you.
My mom have spinal cord compression but I let her stay in our house because of pandemic. hospitals didn't accept us because they already full and no space. And other hospital are private it's to much expensive we can't afford to pay. I don't know what to do and I'm afraid too.
My husband also suffered same spinal cord problem, doctor says unknown primary metastasis, doctors given Ceomotheropy, still my husband was no more now. He was healthy before to treatment , back pain only problem and in one place bulge in spainolcord otherwise no symptoms
Irreversable my ass. The power of the mind body and soul is beyond fathomable; anyway, good breakdown of information on spinal compression.... Thanks. 👍 #csfluid #godhead #ventricles #3rdeye

Would you see this by an xray?
You might see a vertebral lesion (bony met) which may make you think about the met affecting the spinal canal.
