Great video, did this in 2006. We were warned about the by-pass path being a bad option, unfortunately we reached a point that my wife refused to climb, so we had to use the by-pass. I’ve never been as scared in my life, before or since 😂😂 we were entirely convinced we wouldn’t see the end of the day. It remains one of my most treasured memories, & my 10 year old son has repeatedly requested I take him up there 😂😂 one day…hmmm
Quite agree.. mid way and wondering whether to take the 'chicken run' as folk called it, or go over the Fasarinen Pinnacles, a chap coming the other way said the so-called easy route is much more dangerous and exposed.. Pinnacles were great.. good handholds and never a feeling of 'getting stuck'!
Thank you for this footage. I am visiting Scotland in just 2 weeks and plan to do 2-3 hikes - I am making my list right now. This one, then Suilven and munroes in Glencoe. The trip is mostly aimed at photography, not so much at hiking as such. Thanks to your video I concluded that the best view will probably be from where you finished the hike and it will save me time, effort and risk :-) Let me know if you disagree. Keep doing this, it's helpful for folks even from different countries. Cheers!
Omgosh I have watched so many videos about the place and nothing compares to the beauty you have just shown in this video. Absolutely stunning. Magical is very appropriate. Thoroughly enjoyed my safe armchair view thank you so very much. Wonderful. Be safe and be well.
Great video but think I'll stick to just driving past Liathach on the road to Torridon. That "bypass path" looks genuinely terrifying. You've got far much more courage than I ever will.
great stuff, just breath taking views all the way. scottish munro journey took the by pass because it was windy but i think its one of the scariest videos i've seen.
I was hoping you had a 'big' trip planned for this albeit soggy summer, and you give us the Liathach traverse!😃. Once again your video quality gives such a glorious sense of being there. My own stravaig along this mountain some years back is etched in my memory, for the same reasons as yourself, a continuously varying magical mountain scenery that is Torridon! Oh, and solid rock underfoot, and often hand, end to end. Choice of camp on soggy ground by the lochside in prime midge season not recommended! But the views were everything. Only problem now is waiting a week for your next episode. I'll guess and say Beinn Alligan?
Thanks Mike, yeh we didn’t make the best choice in camp this time haha, midge we’re killer. I’m not surprised it’s still in your memories, will be in mine for a long time. Amazing mountain and amazing place. Sorry to leave you on a cliffhanger 😂😂 but will hopefully be worth it
Well done, guys. Yeah, what a place eh? Not sure which is worse, going over the pinnicles, or taking the bypass path. I remember taking the bypass path many years ago and seeing the road in the glen between my feet!
Lucky guy - you're living my dream. ive wanted to visit since i was a kid, im an Elliott so we have history there, im Australian and have 5 year old kids, at the age of 32 i dont think ill ever be able to visit :(
Well produced video and your enthusiasm is very infectious..
You are brave! Views are incredible, you're right🤩
A jagged looking ridge there, we call them narrow arse ridges "razorbacks" in NZ. Spectacular scenery, great effort guys

Great achievement to have got out to all these places, and then to give us all the views from the couch.
Thanks mate, wouldn’t want to be anywhere else honestly. Scotland is just incredible
Thank you.

Thanks a lot for the kind words, means a lot. It really is magical, such a beautiful part of Scotland
Brilliant mountain, well done. Torridon is fantastic. As you say, a magical place.
It really is isn’t it, can’t wait to go back already
Stunning. Well done.
Good job, great views and mountain goat type climbing for you and your buddy...🐏🐏
Thanks mate, yeh definitely a lot of scrambling but great fun
Top video mate. Still to do this route but it looks a better!
Thanks mate, yeh I’m sure you’ll love it mate. Probably the best walk I’ve ever done
Great video but think I'll stick to just driving past Liathach on the road to Torridon. That "bypass path" looks genuinely terrifying. You've got far much more courage than I ever will.
I wish I could visit those places ❤
Fantastic video! Thanks for sharing. The bypass path looks pretty precipitous from what I can gather too! Cheers Murdo
Yeh I’ve heard it’s just as scary, if not maybe worse. Any route on that mountain will be incredible though no doubt
all-around superior video...respect the demure narration of a special hike experience....have fun out there everyone
Thanks for the kind words mate, means a lot

Yeh i love his videos. That one was scary, think the by pass path might actually be worse than the one we took cause it’s so exposed

Not sure what you're using for insect repellent but "Skin So Soft" from Avon is the best Ive had tried & tested (Lakes/Europe/Aus & NZ) 👍
great video, well done! make sure you climb as many mountains as you can when you're young and healthy!
100%. I do it pretty much every week and don’t plan to stop haha
Well done, guys. Yeah, what a place eh? Not sure which is worse, going over the pinnicles, or taking the bypass path. I remember taking the bypass path many years ago and seeing the road in the glen between my feet!
Yeh to be honest the by pass path looked even worse😂
Lucky guy - you're living my dream. ive wanted to visit since i was a kid, im an Elliott so we have history there, im Australian and have 5 year old kids, at the age of 32 i dont think ill ever be able to visit :(
Yeh we’re lucky for sure. Never know mate, hopefully you might be able to visit some day
Beautiful but nope, you wouldn't catch me up there! lol.
😂😂
Disposable barbecue 😂 I can take this seriously
Has to be done mate. Nothing beats a cremated burger😂😂
Brilliant well done on my list it looks awesome 🤩⛰️ ⛰️ ⛰️
Cheers mate, yeh it’s an incredible place and think it might take my top spot for mountains I’ve done so far. A good one to look forward to for sure
