I caught this by accident on Colbert while travelling and had to come find it again. Not only an incredible performance, but likely one of the most important songs of this year/decade. Gives me chills.
2018 wss an awful ur for me in a string of awfulness. This performance gave me chills on top of goose bumps. What a voice! What talent!

Every other video performance I've watched beats the hell out of this one. Couldn't even get through half of it, and I'm hooked on this song!
They live in our town. She and the twins are treasures. Amazingly talented and philanthropic as well. We are so proud of them!
If ANYONE has the opportunity to watch her live, it is an incredible experience. Definitely one I will never forget, and the most amazing live music I have ever heard.

The first time I ever heard of her was in 2017. I came on board late. Then I saw her at The Beacon Theater in 2018 and MSG in 2019. She is just amazing. Cannot understand why she is not more popular.

Phenomenal vocals. I was lucky enough to see Brandi live in London in a totally acoustic set - she did not disappoint! Very, very underated!
Best new artist I've heard in some time. I grew up in the 1960s/70's, so I have high music standards (heh heh).

What a soulful song. Beautiful lyrics. I recently came upon an audition of a 14 yo Benicio Bryant who sang her song and it blew my mind. He was brilliant and so are the lyrics. Soul stirring.
Really really good voice control. I liked the mixture of violins with the light rock feel.
Usually I listen to old school 60's blues or rock, but I saw this on Colbert and thought it was outstanding! Powerful and emotional, and the string section just makes it so great.

I like country music and just starting listening to it again. I've never heard any country singer sound sour. I saw her performance on the Grammy's singing this song, amazing! My new favorite song! The words brought tears to my eyes. I love those high notes!

The song plays out like Brandi meant it for someone she’d have in front of her. The fact it exists kind of ethereal, only gives way to the point she meant it to serve with every line. Subsequently enriching every line with her narrative that begs the question: “Where is this coming from?” “How is it so powerful ?” “It’s so beautiful, I don’t mind that I can’t figure out exactly why or how it happens!” I’d rather music this way because it’s genius and I don’t mind the voice giving way to meaning…

And for the 158 people that "thumbs downed" it, your insane....at 37 years old, I still love nothing more than discovering a new artist or song or a song by an artist you never knew until years later....but this song was a radio discovery. 88.7 WNCW or 98.1 the river, Asheville, NC....the moment I heard it, I Shazamed it. What a great App. I am now obsessed with this powerful, emotional, brilliant, beautiful song. It then made me realize who she was, with her other hits on the radio....Wherever Is Your Heart, That Wasn't Me, The Eye....Similar to Neko Case in songwriting, big voice, notable success.... two amazing ladies....
