Cut a 2X4 or a 2X6 to cross behind your wheel wells in your pickup and you’ll always have something to wedge against. You’ll be surprised how often it comes in handy.
You are so blessed to have your daddy with you. He's got a head full of sense. Put him in all your videos, you'll be glad you did. God bless y'all and keep up the hard work brother!!!
Great video as always. If your budget has room for it the major equipment cyclone mower is the best mower on the market. Way less moving parts and maintenance than a flail mower, heavy duty and galvanized so it wont rust and more fuel efficent ground coverage. Lots of farmers here in NC gettting them and they eat everything!!
A chopping corn head or adding row max stalk rollers to the corn head to size up the corn stalks while harvesting would eliminate the need for a brush hog.
Daniel, you may have solved the disappearing oil problem with that HyGard. SEVERAL brands , including that Cam2 ,if I'm not mistaken, along with that 303 Premium oil, are in a class action suit because of substandard performance by being too thin, contaminated, plus other things I don't remember. I still use it on things that have a high oil loss, but for important things , I use something better.
i always liked flail choppers we had fox choppers that we used for oats silage, but could put a cover over top to brush hog , you have that fancy tailgate on you truck - 6 way, but also you can get load locks to put between wheel wells
That reminds me of hooking up the PTO shaft on my humble 6 foot bush hog. I'm so whooped after I can't barely mow. I try to hook it all up the day before so all have to do is climb in and soak up some AC.
Would definitely look into major equipment co. The cyclone shredder they make is great in cotton and corn stalks. 30ft wide and folds up like a batwing.
DANIEL,TRADE THAT JD OLD CUTTER IN AND GET YOURSELF A NICE JD 18-20 FT BATWING.YOU'LL BE ABLE TO MOW OUT DITCHES WITH EASE.WHAT YOU HAVE DOES A GOOD JOB,BUT MOVING GEE WHIZ,LOVE YOUR VISITS....FARMER DAVE
Man if you want your stalks shredded anything close to what that cutter is doing for you then I’d suggest keeping it or trade for something similar but not a John Deere bush hog. We bought one a couple of years ago and although it cuts good, it doesn’t shred the stalks and it also throws 90% of the stalks out on one row maybe a row and a half out of the 4 that it cuts which makes for doing anything next spring a challenge because there’s a bunch of trash on one row out of 4 all the way across the field.
Summertime in AZ used to see vehicle fires attributed to trans fluid blowing out vents or dipsticks, it's why you will see vents with hoses and dipsticks with locks. Have you cleaned your oil coolers and checked the vents?
Nice looking cotton just west/north of Tucson. Live in southern Ga but haul furniture to Phoenix nearly every week. Lot of difference in farming between here and there. Arizona is a fine place in my opinion. All y’all need are some pine trees and more grass😂.
Having watched the sweaty pantomime of moving that stalk cutter I'd stop thinking and start trading it in against something that doesn't require 3 men to fold up just to move fields there must be something better than that like a bat wing topper or front and rear combination flail mowers that fold up hydraulicly in seconds . great video none the less though. I think that your transmission leak is caused by the seals expanding due to the high heat caused from long road use those sort of transmissions are designed really for field use and short transport journey. Maybe the solution is to buy a combine transport trailer for one of your semi trucks and use a lorry to move between farms like contractors/custom cutters would use
If you know any cattle farmers in the area, they might be interested in baling your cornstalk residue for bedding for their cows. Another YT farmer does this and it makes great bedding. Just FYI
Can a chopping corn head or a head with rolling stalk Devastator eliminate the need for secondary stalk chopping pass? I realize you would still need to chop the cotton stocks, but freeing up a person from the corn stalk chopping pass could open up more flexibility in manning the corn harvest crew. Are any neighbors either using chopping head or Stalk Devastator updated heads?
Tractors with implements like that you don't drive for hours in, you load up onto a flatbed, saves you time and money, and don't have to put it in road mode, which saves you more time and money
Daniel, you have header trailers for combine heads. Seems easy enough to make one for stalk chopper 2- sticks 2-1/2” pipe 1 old axle and wheels Use tongue from chopper Use tractor hydraulics on cyl to lift axle tires then pin Use same hydronic cyl on tongue to lift The two sticks of pipe distance apart enough that chopper tires drop down inside some Strap it down and transport to next field. One person job then Hi Granny
Enjoys you working with your father. Your dad is a great guy
Wow that's a lotta worms! And many people prolly think grain comes in the wrapper as bread 😲

When you grease the loader, put bucket on ground and pick up front wheels couple inches. That puts grease on proper side of lift pins.

This video gives a good overview of agriculture technology, but I’m curious about the future developments
Wishing you all a safe and happy Labor Day weekend from Oklahoma
Really like the cap Dan is wearing! War Eagle!
I just love your channel keep up the good work. I love hearing that Alabama accent.
Daniel, thank you for the great video. I appreciate the hard work you put into making these videos. ❤❤ - Hope
Go to Harbor Freight and get you a magnet to set on the bed next to the bucket or block. That will keep it from tipping over.
Have a good weekend All
Take it easy Granny and
Stay cool.

Keep cutting that I think it will plug your planter for next year
I parked my Blawzer frail mower a bought 2 new JD HX20 with milcher option, it is a good mower and it has options for the tires
Sold my JD stalk chopper and bought a JD bush hog couple years ago!
Hang in there, cooler weather is on its way 🚜🌽🌧️👩🌾😀

That shredder may be a pain in the butt, but it does 10times better job than a bushhog.
Get a couple hi lift farm jacks ...
Granny, Good Morning! Best Wishes for a Great Weekend! Great video Daniel!
Thanks 😊

I think they make vehicles now the way they do is so you have to take it to the dealership.

Need to find you a lawn mower/ four wheeler tire to stick the bucket in to keep it upright
Great video good to see y'all
Good job guys
Good morning Granny best wishes for a nice long weekend!
Thank you!
Use a milk crate for the pails.

U go to slide that tool into the slot and push the hose over the tool
Good morning Granny have a great day
Drink!
Thanks.
look underneath hydraulic oil tank. then follow the line.
Those shredded corn shucks are worth more than the corn. The last ones I bought I gave $15 a bail for them!

In no till farming you want to keep the residue in the field
You should never connect PTO with tractor running. Great video glad all of your equipment is running good
Leave that stalk choper at Grey Rocks and buy a new one for home so you don't transporting
Good morning Daniel and Granny.
Drink!
Good afternoon.
On our 8250s transmission the o-ring behind the sight glass had failed causing a leak
Those heater core lines can be aggravating
When u guys till up field after harvest have u ever heard if a wishek disk seen other farm vedios and it really chews up stubble
Alright Mr Ryan u gone skin your knuckles sir on getting those sickel guards off

Before next year that thing would be traded off for a three point hitch bushhog
Shooo..., I'm worn out after this video..., but "we" got a lot done. I'm still waiting for "us" to invest in that high air volume backpack blower?
Unable to access your store to see the merchandise. Everytime it says "this store unavailable" Is this a temporary issue?
How about an update on how Granny is doing? Inquiring minds want to know.
Aw the guy lived?
"They" don't make things to repair by owner or dealer, just to sell.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hello from Serbia🇷🇸🚜💪
Thanks for watching.
Did you really think that would stay in place?
30% couple days 😂😂,what do you guys like to have the moisture down to when ya start???
Definitely under 20
Why do you cut the corn stocks?
Wondering why no new videos
Daniel what relation is PA to you?
That's exactly how we do it , remove the plastic pieces....!!! Bad design for repair excellent for manufacturers !!!
Tractors with implements like that you don't drive for hours in, you load up onto a flatbed, saves you time and money, and don't have to put it in road mode, which saves you more time and money
You can’t put a 8R on a flatbed. lol
Why don't ya'll run stalk stompers?
@Triple R is PA from Selma?
