Dale. Thank you very much for this series! Thank you for the time and effort it took to do these videos. I have really enjoyed these and have learned much and am encouraged that the Camino is my next big adventure as Covid winds down. It really allows future Pilgrims to see first hand life on the Camino. It seems as if Lisbon/Porto is gaining in popularity. Perhaps this might be another Camino for you! Thanks again and Best Regards!
Bravissimo Dale!.......We finished our Camino Frances last Friday, October 25th. I can’t thank you enough for providing us with the most informative Camino videos on RUclips.....much appreciated. Your work was great! I hope that someday I can thank you in person. Been Camino!
Hi Dale ,just finished watching all your videos of the Santiago de France and Muxio hike ,we are planning this trip ourselves for 2022 when covid free .Thank you for your information and humor a joy to watch ...ps you must have a very patient wife lol .
Enjoyed pretty all of your journey. I like having some details of what it's like in each section--other vids just have kids showing themselves in various locales. You have done a good job. Only thing I would add is if town or village had grocery store, supermarket, restaurant for sure,--it just helps in planning--a visual aid if you like, similar to how you did the albergues and showing the front with name, etc . Hope you get back on the path, post-COVID. Many thanks.
Glad you made it back home safely. Always a good thing. Ditto what others have been sharing about enjoying the journey with you. Thank you for inviting us all to join in!!! Look forward to your follow ups to put final closure on your pilgrimage.
Dale thanks for sharing your Camino - enjoyed your vlogging style and all the detail on the trails. Did my Camino the June before yours and a few times we literally shared same Albergues and cafes etc so lovely to re see it. Hope you’re keeping safe, all the best Dave.
Sorry I’ve missed your last vlogs...I’ll watch now ....so enjoyed your wonderful journey and fabulous achievement! Can’t wait for your next adventure Dale ! 🦶🦶🦶
Awesome 👏🏻 we are planning to do the Camino from St John du Pont to San Diego in September 2020. I look forward to watching your other videos. New friend to your channel. 👍🏼🙏
Thank you, Dale, for sharing your pilgrimage. I really miss your posts and appreciate your honesty. I don't know that it is safe to hike around the U.S. as you had mentioned. Too many highways and crazies!! Anyway, I can't wait to follow your next adventure. Wherever you journey, Buen Camino!!
Congratulations Dale. What an incredible journey! Hate to see this one come to an end, but can't wait to see where you go next! Thanks for letting us tag along!
Congratulations and bless you for taking all of us along with you. I am sure you are on your way home now. Thank you so much for all your work on these daily videos.
Hi Dale, well done on finishing the Camino Frances, with your Compostella. (Not a certicate) This signifies all of your sins are forgiven and your soul is washed clean , pilgrim. To do another Camino involving Finisterre & Muxia one has to walk from Santiago to Finisterre to Muxia and back to SdC, which would be 182 KLM to the cathedral. Each Camino has to be at least 100 KLM coming into the cathedral. You walked 109.6 klms between SdC to Finisterre, to Muxia which is a Camino but with no religious significance. The other two pieces of paper given to you are called certicates. One only gets the Compostella if returning to the church where St James bones are. You may find the Ingles Camino @ 112 klms to SdC, from Ferrol, interesting. The Portugese camino from Tui @ 113.6 klms, or from Porto 230 klms, from Lisbon 539.1 klms. Primitivo Camino, San Salvador, the Norte, the Madrid, Via de PLata to name a few. But you've only done two Caminos at the moment not three. Just some observations, not meant to deprecate in any way the importance & significance of your achievements. Go well. Miki Goldie Aus
I have watched all your videos. They were excellent. Very informative. I go to Florida once in a while. My cousin rents a condo there every spring in Melbourne and I have an old Marine buddy that lives in Coco Beach. If I see you around lunch will be on me, especially at Squid Lips.
Bonitos videos of the camino french , you may suffer the symptoms of the post camino, it is a highly addictive magical camino, I am sure that if you can ... you will come back, it is something similar to what Galicians call"morriña"(Yearn, To miss) . Santiago is always waiting. Ultreia. Buen camino.
Congratulations on your accomplishment. Thank you for sharing. Thank you for all the valuable information you passed on. Best wishes in future endeavors. Go have a beer.
Well done mate...I have really enjoyed being a part of your journey. I will use your insights and recommendations when I make my journey at the end of April next year. You should be very proud of your achievement.
Thank you Dale for a really great journey. The first 'real time' vlog we have followed. It has given us a real insight for our own Camino next Autumn. Have a safe journey home and wherever you go next.... "happy trails"
I will. I did cover my trip there in my day 0 video. For my trip back, I took a bus from Muxia to Santiago de Compostela. The next day I took a cab from the Semenario Albergue to Santiago Airport. I flew from there to Madrid on IBeria, 2 hour layover then connected to American Airlines to Charlotte. I then connected to American to Melbourne FL.
Thanks for that. It's interesting that you live in a town with the same name as one of our major cities here in Australia, Melbourne. @@DalesOutdoorAdventures
Dale, Do you know why pilgrims walk to Muxia? Is there a significance? Why do Finisterre and Muxia? I love those kitties by the way on your previous video. I’ll miss your videos, I’m sure I will also experience a Camino withdrawl. Thanks again for all the hard work you did to show us The Way. Your last few vids had the most beautiful scenery. I really enjoyed it. Take care. See you on another adventure I hope! Ps I love the windmills.
It’s been great following your journey, takes me right back to my journey in 2018 and made me look forward even more to my next Camino in March 2020. Will be great seeing any further hiking videos that you post. Have you heard of the Canterbury to Rome?
Congrats Dale! Impressive what you can do with a smart-phone. Have you compared the Wise Pilgrim app or guide to the Brierley guide? Just wondering if one provides better lists of accommodations than the other, or if Wise Pilgrim indicates the amount or % of gravel, pavers or asphalt - for those of us with arthritis. Also wondering what tool you use to edit your videos. PS: You should do another camino. :)
The wise Pilgrim app is great for the GPS offline map, I had no other way to show the Camino or my position since I had no SIM card. It didn’t show every alternative trail and was poor in almost every other respect. It doesn’t show what % is asphalt etc. I edited all videos on the phone with a free app called splice. It’s very limiting compared to some of the pay apps.
Congratulation once again you have product probably the best video guide book for any prospective pilgrim. Once returned to Florida, what sort of routine does one super camino hero needs to adjust back into ?
Ive been home for 8 hours now and what was normal routine seems just weird. Driving a car for the first time just felt a bit odd, I am fairly certain everything will seem routine again in a few days or so. I am retired though so I will start planning my next adventure soon, in the meantime I play tournament senior softball and hike and a little kayaking.
Great Series. Thanks Dale. Could not get enough. Keep On Truckin. ULTREIA
Thanks John, headed back to the Camino May 2023.

We walked the Camino Frances. Left SJPDP on September 17th.
Don Stadelli ok so just about 2 weeks apart. We were out there some of the same time.

Thanks. I’m about 30 minutes south Of Melbourne. We have a squid lips in Sebastian also.
I've been there too. There was a nice restaurant my cousin and I use to go to but I understand it closed down recently. Right by the beach.
