I'm curious about that visor. Is it just for look or is it actually functional? Does it really deflect wind from blasting your face?

Honestly it doesn't help with the face since the visor is small but it does reduce the blast to my body.

And I tested this on several occasions. Putting the visor on on 1 trip and off on another trip, I felt fine when the visor was on but when off, I had shoulders pain due to the wind blast.

Torn between the 300 or 500. Does this one have enough power for you?

Brett Sticker yes enough for me, especially more than enough for a city ride. Actually I prefer the 300 over the 500 for cutting through the city traffic because it is very light.
My riding is 90% urban. For highway use, the 300 can reach 120 kmh effortlessly although the accerelation isn't as quick as the 500 twins. But for me this is fine. because in Thailand, the 300 maintenance is 3-5 times cheaper and can go to any small Honda service shops, while the 500 must go to a Honda designated service center specialized in big displacement engines. And there are only a few of them, compared to thousands of small Honda shops.

Dimsum Racer does the bike feel cramped? did that new seat raise the seat height?

Fritz Krieger Initially it was a bit so I had the seat cushion re-done 1 inch higher with softer sponge, and adjusted the handle bar a bit, pulling it more towards my body :) Now it is very comfortable and I can ride all day.
