top down modelling in SolidWorks drawing a tube in an assembly

top down modelling is convenient to draw a part in a SolidWorks assembly that fits exactly. The example is demonstrated on a flowmeter that can be downloaded from Grabcad.com.
A 3d sketch is used to draw the tube.

Where is the setting to change the wireframe rendering once you pick the surface? This drives me crazy!
