I know Mark was probably joking about the murderer check, but I've done that before when I went on a class trip. We were a public school, so we didn't always stay at the nicest places. So my friend and I checked every hiding place possible in the rooms while our third friend stayed by the door to yell just in case. I think it's a good policy to have if you're ever worried about a place you're staying at. It makes you feel a lot safer.
@@theairace5066 Same. I always check hotel rooms, and sometimes even public restrooms and baths, for cameras and anything else suspicious. I'm not about to be caught with my pants down, figuratively AND literally!
I've always thought it was normal to do a check of hotels too (or when you get home). My family does it and if something is "off" we go full combat mode. Thankfully nothing has happened yet..
This game has so many little details that make it so creepy, seeing the killer walking around in the background of scenes leading up to the end really makes you feel uneasy when you see it and realize you were being stalked from basically the beginning. Rayll did a great job with these games

FYI, just in case it ever happens to you, people will position logs or downed trees in the road in an attempt to carjack or kidnap people going down rural roads. If you ever see a log blocking the road, turn around and take a detour. It's a very rare occurrence, but it has happened.
40:24 I like to think Mark's "De-angering break" is just him going to Amy and complaining about the game's auto-save for 30 minutes while he eats a bagel
The creepy part about all this, is that this game is actually realistic. There was no fictional monsters, the only monsters being humans in your environment that you have to be aware of. These things are very possible and has probably happened before
@@LWLProductions The person who was knocking on the door was the one who probably had the coffee machine. When you drink the coffee, your vision starts to get blurry. As if it was some kind of drug... When Joe tells you that there have been complaints and that people have been hearing 'goofy' sounds, it sounds like our main character Holly was assaulted. SA. So the intruder used the coffee machine to drup Holly and then assault her. That's why when she wakes up at 3am, it says 'i was sedated.' To sedate is to calm. But it can also mean to be drugged. So, when Joe asks why our eyes are red, we lead him to the coffee machine. Upon inspection, well there's no need for that, since you can blatantly see that the coffee machine is no longer there, Joe tells you to go back to your room. Perhaps Joe knew? Just a small theory. Anyways i hope that answers your questions! Also you guys were here 9 days ago? 5 days ago?!
There are some neat little details you missed while playing the game Mark. For example when you lead the hotel manager to where the coffee machine used to be you can see the guy from your closet sneak out of your room and scurry off behind the building. Another detail is at some point you can actually see the guy taking away the coffee machine into his room so nobody finds it.
@@RX_124__GTR_6 funny I thought I saw it but because he drove past it so fast I thought it was just a pixel smidge due to screen fog, but since you pointed it out I decided to check it out, and yeah that's definitely a figure. Good eye dude!
I know this is a video game and thus not literally what happened, but that just seems weird to me. The wires were snipped by who? The guy who later gives you a ride to the hotel? Or was it the person on the road who sped away? The bad ending kinda doesn't make sense either. Drugs you, sneaks into your room, then just waits in the closet hoping you'll open it. If you don't then you leave and he leaves, and if you refuse to let him in he breaks open the door to get you. Like, you were ALREADY in her room with her totally helpless and unaware. Why make it harder on yourself by drawing attention?
@@kyuubinaruto17 honestly they probably changed some of the details from the alleged Reddit story, but there are some weirdos out there who get a kick out of watching people while they’re unaware and then trying to terrify them
Fun fact #3: The man also takes a picture (of the car?) before walking back to the van and drives away. If you look around at the motel, you'll see the white van that drove past you at the beginning on the road and at the gas station 😶 (If i remember correctly, when Holly finds the van at the motel, she seem to remember to have seen a same looking car at the gas station when she bought fuel)
Mark should've tried: - Talking to Joe after drinking the coffee - Opening the closet with Joe following you - Exploring random stuff, like walking into the woods or some other direction Though I guess the autosave is terrible in this one, so it's probably best that he didn't try to get himself killed as much as possible.
@@chelovek176 Its not really supposed to be like a game, its supposed to follow the exact plot of what happened allegedly irl. So they wouldn't put different ''endings''
Except for the protagonist dying, taking alternate routs that are already in the game, as if this is an actual game. Seriously, this argument is BS and nobody should have liked it.@chii9028
The story seemed like an elaborate setup from the gas station to the motel. Her car was probably sabotaged when she was in the store. The ride she got genuinely wanted to help. There may have been someone less scrupulous on the way. Either way, she ended up at the intended motel where at least 2 accomplices were waiting in ambush. Unfortunately for them (fortunately for her), their plans kept getting interrupted by complaining guests, and the front desk man. That front desk man knew she was a target the whole time, and probably knew who the assailants were.
Yeah it was sabotaged. In Jacksepticeyes playthrough you see a van pull up next to the car and speed off when you walk outside implying they were tampering with your car. You couldn't see it here because Mark was on the text messages
from what i've read from others, there's only one guy after her. he sneaks away from the closet when she and the front desk guy leave to go find the coffee machine. also, if you explore the map a bit, the white van is there! super spooky
@@alyssahopson5926 He probably was fine with letting whatever happen as long as it was "under wraps" or what not, but they kept getting interrupted so he had to step in himself before others caught on is my guess.
if you look closely its actually the guy from room four. its the same red car that's there before the 2 logs appear. you can also see him setting up the coffee machine and you can see him running out of your room after he was in your closet.
"i had been told never to take rides to strangers" "i couldnt see why someone would leave someone stranded" presumably because they also got told never to give rides either.
The whole "Murderer check" when entering a hotel room is actually a thing people should do. Not so much for other people in the closest, but for hidden cameras and recording equipment, either from the hotel itself or the previous occupant of that room.
Vents, smoke detectors, alarm clocks, pin holes in the walls, under the rim of the toilet bowl, shower drains, mirrors, etc. shine a bright light on any glass or clear plastic with a dark backing, like an alarm clock or charging block, because it could have a camera behind it
I love how this game perfectly portrays the feeling of helplessness during this stuff. Never been in a situation like this before. Hoping that it's not gonna happen ever to me.
@@soupoup Same - as scary as imagining the situation is, the sheer over the topness of this chapter completely ruined the immersion for me. So she was being targeted from the start and the guy not only messed with her car but wanted it to break down at that exact point... For no reason, since she was there for a while until someone ELSE gave her a ride. Why set this up if he's not going to do anything? What if she had gone the other way? Either that or it's a completely unrelated incident, which is even less believable to me. Then, the guy was betting on her taking a ride and going to the one room with no phone in that hotel, then on her wanting to drink coffee from the full sized machine he had setup at 3am. Did he spike all options? What if she had somehing else? What if she decided not to have coffee after not finding her desired option? And there's the fact that the machine disappeared too. The story would have been more believable if he had spiked an existing machine, the water fountain, something - but no, he actually brought his own and took it with him immediately afterwards - for the creepy "But... there's no coffee machine!" scare line. Does he carry that around often? What does the back of that van even look like? A dirty mattress and a full sized coffee machine? And also, why would he be in the room, go outside, and THEN go back and ask to be let in? Add all of this to the fact somehow every single person in this story is creepy, every place she goes has a bad vibe and off detail- to the point she states that she believes the entire town was a cult. I feel as if they went overboard with the creepy details in this one to the point of making it less believable. If it was only some of those elements it'd be scary, but all of them? Really don't think it worked. While the situation in this one feels far more dangerous, the other story felt scarier because it was more believable with the way those creepy things were very subtle. You go down stairs and the door is open. Was it like that before? Can you remember? You might see the feet rushing up the stairs out of the corner of your eye, but you might just miss it. This one is a series of terrible incidents being shoved in your face "look! is this detail not creepy?" Edit: I can't believe I'm still getting notifications over this, lol, calm down guys! I thought the touching grass comment was funny - I'm not about to deny the fact I'm terminally online. Also thank you everyone who tagged me with your own opinions :) A few people have pointed out it's based on a true story and therefore it can have creative liberties taken with it - well, yes. I was operating under the assumption that that's quite obvious, even in the previous story. The point of the discussion was precisely the fact that the embellishments made this story less immersive, which is very important for game atmosphere - specially for horror, and specially for based on a true story horror. I personally think the idea of multiple perpetrators makes it even less believable because it means it's a coincidence that this person would have all of them independently on her in a single night... But I do see how one could argue that it is more easily rationalised. Specially if they are working towards thean obscure common goal, so cheers!
Everything else but that whole coffee situation seems realistic. A coffee machine filled with spiked coffee that can be easily moved around by 1 dude? And someone having a coffee craving at 3 AM *TO HELP THEM FALL ASLEEP* ????? That part really took me out of it, other than that the game was amazing.
Useful advice for anyone that finds himself or herself in a situation like this one: Better safe than sorry. When your gut feeling tells you to get the fuck out, GET THE FUCK OUT. The world is filled with creeps, murderers and worse. Don't wait for them to make a move. Lonely roads, forests and motels are a big no-no if you're alone. Try not to go by yourself, SPECIALLY at night.
Are murderers getting more common? Because this was made 10 days ago, I can't believe people are talking about murderers right now I don't feel like there Is the man behind the slaughter nearby
It gets really creepy/gross when you realize that Holly was drugged, alone, and unknowingly sleeping in a room with a guy in her closet. And the when she is unconscious, there are "strange loud noises" heard by the neighbors. It makes it 10 times scarier if you realize that Holly may have been assaulted while she was drugged.
The guy was fapping in her closet. He didn’t leave to assault her until after she left the room with the manager because he felt that the game was up and that was his last chance. The psycho was literally masturbating in the closet thinking about what he would do to her when the drugs properly knocked her out. He knew she was still slightly awake and that it was too risky to make his move just yet. And that saved Holly honestly. His sick perversion made enough noise that the neighbours heard him and called the manager in. If he hadn’t, he’d have been able to sexually assault Holly and drag her away into a slave ring.
@@reaperofthings she was probably assaulted and when he noticed that she was coming to, he got up and ran into the closet to hide. Weird noises loud enough for the neighbors to hear dont come from some guy getting off in a closet.
these are the kind of horror games that get me. when it’s supernatural, of course it can be scary, but when it’s the stuff that can really happen? that is so much scarier.
It's much scarier but it also makes me relieved that people report these kinds of stories. Because now I know not to get into these situations, and to always be prepared just in case. It's still very depressing tho, bc you know that this had to have happened to many many people before
best tip for this kind of thing if you are worried for safety. 1. Lock the door, seems obvious but many people do forget to do that. 2. not only close blinds completely turn off lights. 3. always keep A weapon, if your hotel has a kitchen knife use that. 4. DONT answer the door, its best to make whoevers after you to think your not actually in that room. 5. try call cops, even if a place doesnt have regular reception theres likely emergency call available(atleast usually there is) and if there isnt. in danger yell as loud as possible, you want to scream so loud someone miles away could hear you. You want it to be obvious something is not right and if you are in a motel this is perfect.
@@KyleJB007 Basically, in Jacksepticeye's playthrough of this, he struggled to fit the dog food in the trunk outside the gas station, so decided to take out everything else to fit it in. He then discovered that everything he had done was pointless, as all the items needed to be in the trunk. This resulted in a messed up amalgamation of everyday objects being stuffed into the car, clipping through the trunk.
Hello, User! Unfortunately, there is no video. You can still go play games, watch TV, y'know, read a book! It would not be a problem if you kept the like on the video would you? Uh, I mean the non-video!

There's a max security prison just outside city limits of the town I live in, so all the roads leading out of town have signs that read "hitchhikers may be escaped convicts" lol.
Everytime I see a hitchhiker I just think about the I-90 strangler who picked up hitchhiking college girls and murdered them; I get that sometimes it’s a necessary evil like your car breaking down but I dearly hope that I’ll never be in that kind of situation. It’s just too dangerous in a world like ours
This person is so strong! To think that the only option was to go back to sleep, it makes me shiver. R*** is not usually a theme in horror games I feel, you can just tell how real it is because it's terrifying. This definitely seems like a human trafficking thing. The manager might have insisted that they not go to the police because who knows if they're in on it.
Totally think ur right. Cops aren't known to help trafficked victims either. They're more likely to be customers actually. If the manager got busted, then he loses his victims, which means losing his precious money.
I’ve never heard the murderer at the door say “hello?” before OH MY GOD also I cannot wait for the rest of these instalments!! I was so excited to see him play this :)

"I presume the clean status of a bathroom isnt a thing in the first place." As someone that spent sometime working at a gas station, you take that back. I make sure my bathrooms are immaculate, as I have to use it too.
Yeah I worked at a 7-11 for a little while and the one time one of my coworkers walked in the bathroom to find poop on the floor and all over the walls.
This whole situation gives me anxiety. Being a woman, stranded and having to hitchhike, checking your room for people who shouldn’t be there, the guy taking pictures-my gosh, THE GUY TAKING PICTURES. I’d never be able to sleep.
The thing I like about this story is how accurately it captures so many fears I have as a woman. Being by myself in an area with strange men, the stalker in the bathroom, being sedated. I practically jumped out of my seat when he had to hide in the closet
Yeah, i feel you. Me, a man wouldn't feel that much of a fear as you women's do. Not because i think that men are better. It's because som men today are horrible and can do really bad things to you women

Really liking the little Lixian interactions lately. They don’t feel forced or overused. Just nice little moments with our favorite editor coming in and adding to Markiplier’s goofiness.
I can't comment for some reason so I'm replying instead. Also for anyone wondering when he opens the tv an old clip of superman flying around shows up.
It's really disturbing to think about but the character was sedated for 3 hours, "goofy" noises were heard, and she woke up in her bed. She didn't comment on feeling strange or anything, but would you in an internet post? She was probably assaulted during that time.
yeah, all the random details in the game that don't seem to have much significance actually fit in perfectly with that theory. Here is what all the evidence points to in my opinion: the guy at the gas station cuts our car wires because he plans to sexually assault us at a motel he drives us to. He hides in the closet naked (? possible explanation for guy in closet jumpscare) and assaults us in our sleep. That explains the funny noises. When we wake up, the man in the closet is gone, and we are still disoriented from the drug we took. This explains why we may not have noticed any odd sensations or differences in how we felt when we first woke up. After, the guy calls us a pretty woman (implying that he has both seen us before and that he is attracted to us, so he was probably the guy from the gas station) and breaks in. The guy who works at the motel likely knows what is going on too, or at least part of it. His demeanor shifts when he realized that Holly, like all the other guests at the motel (he mentioned something about Holly being the "only sober guest" or something earlier), had some sort of drug. The perpetrator has probably brought many other people here and drugged them in the same way. Then, the motel guy even knows to come in and stop the guy when he breaks into the motel. This is definitely not the first time this has happened to someone. Also - this is based off of a presumably true story, and it may not be completely accurate. Maybe if this is true, Holly wanted to exaggerate the way she got drugged, or maybe she wanted to leave out the sexual assault details as they would be highly traumatizing.
It’s more than likely that most things were made up or enhanced for gameplay. The coffee machine being moved around despite its weight, the idea that someone would cut the wires of a random girl’s car at a gas station hoping that someone else would come along and take her to a particular motel that same evening, and the fact that the manager had pills ready to go in that drawer makes no sense realistically. Irl, I doubt Holly was assaulted. If she was, than it did not happen like this. However, it does make for some sickening and bone-chilling in-game realizations…
why do people use "sexual assault" to describe rape? rape Is a way more severe and traumatic crime than simply "assaulted". using anymore other than rape just downplays how horrible and traumatic rape really is
As a survivor of SA when the narrorator says "real monsters are out there and look like you and me" it.. it just gives me chills. Edit: bruh holy fuck how did this blow up, thanks everyone for your concern, I'm doing a lot better now 💖 Take care of yourselves and stay safe out there

I'm almost 100% sure it's the guy that picks us up. The truck Jason dude drives is parked on the side of the road just a few seconds after we see the man. The man at the end who breaks into our motel room is also wearing the same shirt as Jason.
For anyone wondering what as playing on the tv it was just superman. I'm assuming mark couldn't show it because of copyright things. I'm also really impressed with how fast he realized what it was.

I don't know if people just don't want to say it or if they genuinely don't pick up on it, but the protagonist definitely got sexually assaulted after being drugged. If you open the closet the man inside is naked, and the manager complains about "goofy noises".
Some other comment said that you can see the guy walking out of your room when you lead the manager to the coffee machine..... But the medicine is most likely to cut the effect of the sedative.
@@KaiSub i don't know about the reddit post, since I haven't read it, but the game is definitely exaggerating the story. There were so many points in the story where something could've gone wrong with the guy's plan. The most ridiculous part is definitely an entire coffee machine being used and then hidden away by the culprit. Not to mention the hitchiking part, where _anyone_ could've picked Holly up and taken her to any particular distance. Honestly, it's just much more believable that a bunch of random coincidences occured throughout the story, with none of the incidents actually having much of a relation with the others. As a game, it makes for a creepy story, but as a real life incident, it just seems way too exaggerated. Then again, I could be wrong and it's 100% true. But looking at the amount of things that would've been needed to go right for the assaulter's plan to work just make it very hard to believe.

Well, cliche horror is just telling a guided story. This was a reframing of actual events. If the manager, like a normal human being, called the cops and attacked the intruder, they can't just create a human trafficking ring ran by the manager that didn't happen, lol. But yeah, it is nice.
It needs to be aknowledged and people need to be more aware of what precautions to take in situations like this. I agree is nightmare fuel but it needs to be seen
Watching Sean's gameplay of this part and Mark's really shows how different their mindset is. Sean fully experienced the horror, while Mark completely was taken out of the atmosphere and didn't feel a thing at the end.
I love watching both of them play horror games. I do wish Mark had explored and looked around and noticed more of the creepy moments at the gas station and the motel though. Also, would have been nice if his voice had been properly picked up in the closet. Was still very entertaining to watch.
45:14 and onward He says the atmosphere was great and all but it doesn’t work due to how he had to replay everything, he got taken out of it. So it’s not really Mark’s mindset, it’s the game’s auto save
After all these years, Mark missing the sink was one of the only times I noticed (and heavily face palmed about) something Mark missed. Incredible. We’ve all been there and it sure made me laugh!
I think what is really REALLY good about this game is that you don't 100% know what is going to happen. It could have easily taken place inside the car, with a creepy hitchhiker, with a creepy motel manager, hell at one point I was wondering if WE were the crazy killers and just didn't know it! This game has real strong potential - just a tiny bit of polish (I guess a save feature is more than "polish" but w/e), and more content is all this game really needs. And heck, it doesn't even need all that much more content.

Mark is adorably dumb sometimes, LOL. Still kinda made me facepalm, though, Mark trying to hide in an unlocked well-lit bathroom instead of ducking into the darkness of the closet. Big yikes! 😅
the worst part about this whole game is the guy behind the door saying "I need your help, please open the door," because pretending as if they're elderly or injured is one of the biggest tactics murderers/rapists use to lure women; they take advantage of our empathy and it's terrifying.
i can't remember if I've watched this video before (probably didn't because i never pressed the like or dislike button) but this episode makes me more anxious than the others
The thing is, when you leave the room when the guy is in your closet, you can actually see him leaving your room when you try to take joe to the coffee machine, which would've let you know that the closet was safe. What I've noticed with the first two chapters of this game is that there tend to be quite a few things going on in the background that can be missed if you don't pay attention
I'm not someone who scares easily, I've only been really scared from a jumpscare very few times. But 21:52 was one of the few times a jumpscare actually scared me. Hope the devs of this game keep making episodes of this.
“That didn’t sound like a rabbit. I’m pretty sure I know what a rabbit sounds like and that definitely didn’t sound like one” is so funny to me as a rabbit owner knowing rabbits only make very quiet and small noises (like a small grunt or honk) unless they’re in danger and then they will scream, but I’ve never heard that noise in person.

Bridges are also great places for ambush irl and in games. I was playing WoW in legion, and there was this really long bridge over a huge ravine. I never liked crossing it and always expected something to happen. One of the times I went across two stealthed cat players (Druids) jumped me, and I somehow ended up falling off of the bridge, losing most of my heath to fall damage, then they quickly finished me off and went to wait for more victims.
It's actually kind of perfect. I missed it too because I was so focused on the rear view mirror like Mark was. I wonder if that shape in the mirror was designed to distract you from the person in the woods.
Just goes to show you how men don't care. (That came out bad I'm not bad talking Mark he's genuine and wholesome and on the best people out there.) They haven't been "trained" (so to speak) to notice shit like this and be suspicious of EVERYTHING, since puberty (if we're lucky it starts then).
One thing that nobody notices is when your leaving your room to show him where the coffee machine is you can see the man in your closet leave and walk away from your room in the background

Theory that the guy at the gas station tells everyone the hitchhiker’s story/warns about hitchhikers because he’s apart of this supposed cult and wants to make sure no one helps the people they want to take. Whether the guy who did pick you up is apart of this cult is up for interpretation
one of the guys at the gas station - the one that picks you up and chooses to bring you to that specific motel later in the game - can be spotted actually cutting the wires on your car. he planned for this to happen. He made the car break down on purpose so he could pick you up and bring you to the motel to sexually assault the player. I can explain the full theory if you want; tons of the details in the game that seem random actually fit perfectly with this theory.
I don't think either of the gas station people were in on it. The cashier just believed some urban legends (although I think those existed BECAUSE people got kidnapped there but locals developed spooky theories about why people disappeared), and the customer who later picked you up seemed like a genuinely decent guy. I'm pretty sure it's a separate person who is outside cutting your wires, not the customer who later gives you a ride.
Honestly this game hands down has to be the most terrifying horror game I've played/watched. Most other horror games you can use the excuse its "not possible in our real world". The excuse is thrown out the window with this one, and just the fact this is based on a real story just adds another layer of how terrifying our actual world is.
You know you have a good editor when the RUclipsr says "edit in whatever and I approve of it no matter what" and they put in a very wholesome clip of your dog instead of a stupid clip or something.
Made this comment on another channel: It's unfortunate how realistic this game is. I have driven through many small towns in Utah, Colorado, and Wyoming that resemble this layout. It's not a cult or a criminal organization, but probably just 2 brothers who found a system that worked once and kept doing it.
@@racheldelgado1598 Huh, where did they say it was unrealistic? They very clearly say that this game is"unfortunately REALISTIC", just that, in their experience, it was more likely to be a duo rather than an entire organization.
Even though this is the second time I'm seeing a playthrough of this game, and I knew when the jumpscares were happening, THEY STILL GOT ME. This game is honestly scary no matter how many times I see it through. Like, I rarely get _this_ scared by games. But it really is how realistic these stories and settings are, that make them terrifying.
I think the first time was in jacksepitceye's channel cuz i saw it there too, and yeah the game's graphics itself is kinda creepy and besides that, the stories are what i like the most. It shows you how scary can real life events be and god i love it.
The coffee machine part of this is quite horrifying. The idea of someone tampering with a machine to drug an unsuspecting victim in order to do god knows what hits a primal fear
It’s actually hilarious if you imagine it in your brain, the rapist actually brought his own coffee machine, so I can just picture a man carrying a coffee machine around🤣
The idea that a murderer or attacker goes around to creepy motels with a giant coffee vending machine makes it funnier. Like he just hopes nobody working there notices this new machine and that someone will actually use it and also go back to bed in the same room he'll have to have already broken into. Guy's murder killing success is based on pure luck and coincidence.
The whole thing about these being "true stories" might not be so much that these specific stories happened, but that they definitely _could._ The first chapter was a home invasion. This one was a creepy stalker. Both of those are things that happen IRL.
Yeah, but sadly at the same time it becomes easier to break immersion when you go a bit too over-the-top with the story. In this one it seemed that the entire town was working against her.
@@luciano9755 I agree with the first part about not going OTT, but I didn't think it seemed like the town was conspiring against her. The two guys in the gas station were relatively normal, and Tommy was a bit off putting but never did anything malicious. And the manager actually helped her at the end. It was only the one guy in the room near the coffee machine (I assume he put that out so people would drink from it) who did anything actually wrong. Also worth noting is that this entire story is a flashback. It's all told in retrospect, and the trauma of the whole stalker thing could have distorted her memory of that entire night to make everyone else seem a bit stalker-y too.
What I love about this game is that each character you come across just gives you a feeling of uneasiness. You wonder who to trust and who amomg them is out there to get you, and that just made me anxious for the whole playthrough
I honestly thought it was normal to do that to do it for cameras; honestly, people should if they don't.
@@theairace5066 Same. I always check hotel rooms, and sometimes even public restrooms and baths, for cameras and anything else suspicious. I'm not about to be caught with my pants down, figuratively AND literally!

The creepy part about all this, is that this game is actually realistic. There was no fictional monsters, the only monsters being humans in your environment that you have to be aware of. These things are very possible and has probably happened before
they happen all the time
@@LWLProductions I agree, I thought that was the only thing that seemed a bit silly

Replying to this comment in case there is more fun fact i didn't know on this episode
If you look around at the motel, you'll see the white van that drove past you at the beginning on the road and at the gas station 😶
(If i remember correctly, when Holly finds the van at the motel, she seem to remember to have seen a same looking car at the gas station when she bought fuel)
Mark should've tried:
- Talking to Joe after drinking the coffee
- Opening the closet with Joe following you
- Exploring random stuff, like walking into the woods or some other direction

Isn't the front desk guy the one who punched the bad guy tho? Why would he be in on it?

The implication that the killer/stalker brought his own coffee machine to fool the girl is really funny to me
Same tbh that kinda took me out of it and just made me laugh lol
it's a bold plan that rarely works.... but when they _really_ want coffee at 3am, that's when the old decoy vending machine bit pays off, lol
This one is a series of terrible incidents being shoved in your face "look! is this detail not creepy?"
Edit: I can't believe I'm still getting notifications over this, lol, calm down guys!

@Kavetion r/iamveryrandom
Here is what all the evidence points to in my opinion:
the guy at the gas station cuts our car wires because he plans to sexually assault us at a motel he drives us to.
@@thebacteriawasbeatentodeath very clear explanation! Thanks I get to know the backstory more!
@@ahhhsothisishowyouchangean162 thank you :]

But the medicine is most likely to cut the effect of the sedative.
@@listlessdandelion3587 You can see the stalker the first time at the gas station, so I don't think the manager was in on it.
Almost no one asks how this guy has a fast acting sedative, nor do mention that he would have had to pick up some large coffee machine.
@@i_am_squishy6230 it's not actually a true story if you didn't know that.
The manager actually saving you from the stalker is such a good change from the cliche in horror.
Can we make a petition to RUclips? Rather than make a bs upgrade like removing dislike maybe a features a strong one that can get rid off and kill every bot in comments just by click reporting each of them?

I like how Mark is suspicous of the rearview mirror at 3:02, but doesn't see the guy in the forest a second after.
Where are these cult comments coming from?💀
@@obliviousmk5973 just a bot trying to get attention. Leave them alone, let em starve.
Literally about to comment this, i was out here screaming "OMG ITS A PERSON"
Yeesh these bots are off the rails
Like dang
@@lavans5721 no don't leave them alone, at least report them 💀
I wonder which is scarier for Mark, The creepy atmosphere and vibes or the fact that the music might not be royalty free
he just went “ uhm.. I hope this is royalty free..” and then got to “ yeah… this is definitely not royalty free! “
The whole thing about these being "true stories" might not be so much that these specific stories happened, but that they definitely _could._
The first chapter was a home invasion. This one was a creepy stalker. Both of those are things that happen IRL.
Oh yeah. This chapter had human trafficking written all over it.
Some other comments said that these stories cane from reddit posts and the maker of the game mixed a few of them together and made it
Yeah, but sadly at the same time it becomes easier to break immersion when you go a bit too over-the-top with the story.
Did Mark play the first one too? I couldn't find it

What a fucken nice young man

oh no
@@nelsonic84nelson25 i think they meant it like when you laugh at a bad joke while simultaneously being "oh that's awful!" But you laugh anyway
What I love about this game is that each character you come across just gives you a feeling of uneasiness. You wonder who to trust and who amomg them is out there to get you, and that just made me anxious for the whole playthrough
I like Jason, the gas station dude and Joe the hotel manager, they seem like decent people
@@wk8637 I didn't trust the hotel manager in the first place lol, I was really skeptical of opening the door when he first knocked
Okay but when Tommy was just standing in the bathroom door, my life flashed before my eyes.
This one got me. The whole time I'm yelling internally "FIND A LESS CREEPY HOTEL YOU'RE WORRYING YOUR POOR MOTHER".
