I hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and staying healthy. If you're able to, please stay in and do your part to help protect people who are unable to fight the coronavirus, and if you're a healthcare worker, grocery store worker, first responder, delivery driver, etc. THANK YOU for working so hard to make sure we have what we need and stay safe. How very lovely of you Monika. Thank you for caring! I am insulin dependent diabetic, so I am in isolation until this virus has 'peaked'. I'm quite scared at the moment, it feels like we are living in some kind of sci-fi movie! Watching your tutorials is so inspiring. My sewing machine is my God at the moment , keeping me sane!! So please keep uploading just as you did. I'm sure people will be very appreciative of them. I hope you and your family stay safe. Much love to you.❤

I’m glad you’re still sewing, it does really help! I was having a hard time being inspired to sew but a few days ago I decided to just start a project I had in my mind and it really helped me to stay distracted and have a diversion, so I’ll start editing that tutorial this weekend. @@ComicatCreations I've been enjoying making handbags recently!!! I'm also about to make my daughter a bunch of reusable make up wipes. Then I'm going to follow a pattern for the first time and make a long shirt!!! My daughter also wants me to make her a long wrap skirt. So I have a few things to keep me going!!! I hope you are doing OK Monika! I am fine, so far, but I'm terrified or my 94year old mother who has Chronic Heart Failure and CKD Stage 4. It's lovely of you to think of others at a time like this. Staying in other than going for walks at a nearby park (staying far away from people, of course) and praying for family who are more at risk and family who have to work out in this. I’ll be praying for your mom to be safe and to stay shielded from this 💕 You take care of yourself too and we will keep hoping and praying for an end to this!

Your videos are great for the times we now live in. With quarantines and curfews, there is now more time to focus on getting better at skills like mending and sewing. I personally find your videos a great guide how to make simple yet fashionable pieces for myself. Thank you for putting your time, effort and resources into these tutorials. 🙂👍

Great to see you Monica, we need a break from all the doom & gloom everywhere, & yes crafting will hopefully stop us all getting cabin fever. 😊 I have a good stash of yarn as a crocheter & knitter, & I just learned how to knit in the round, so I'm gonna make hats, so I don't get bored. I’m glad you have a good stash of things to knit and it sounds like the hats will keep you busy 😃 I think we’re lucky that we can sew or do other crafts to keep busy in this time. I haven’t done a ton of sewing just because it’s been hard to be inspired, but I’m working on a tutorial now and getting more ideas so will definitely keep creating to stay uplifted! @@ComicatCreations Yep, we need all the distractions we can get. I don't know how people are coping when they have children, & they are stuck indoors. I'm cooking up a storm too, even made dog biscuits. Ha. Readings good too, & somehow there's always some sort of new craft to learn about on RUclips. Lol. Awww Monika, this was such a lovely video. So far in Northern Ireland, our numbers are currently small but just like everywhere, they are creeping up every day and at a faster rate with each passing hour it seems. Me and my family are safe and healthy so far, but having 3 siblings with type 1 diabetes, we are acutely aware of how precarious their positions are. But we are doing everything we can to keep each other and ourselves safe. My Husband and I are currently redecorating the Art room so there should be a new room to create in, in about 7-10 days time...provided the furniture arrives from Ikea and deliveries aren't suspended. We are all trying to keep our chins up and stay positive. I just hope people remember to be kind to one another at this time of high stress. I know tempers can fray easily but we are all in this together. I hope you and your family stay safe and well Monika. Lee xx
Thank you Lee!!! I know it’s been about a week since your comment so I’m sure things have changed quite a bit there just as they have here in the US. I hope you’re able to stay in and stay safe! I’ll keep your siblings in my prayers - it’s so important to stay in right now to prevent the spread for everyone who is more likely to have complications from this, so I hope they’re able to stay in as well. Like you said we all need to be kind and understanding, but it’s so sad that there are so many people who aren’t thinking that way and aren’t thinking of others. We all have to do our part to protect the people we love! How is your art room going? Sounds like a great project for these times that way you can have somewhere to keep creating! This craziness has brought a new sewing obsession: Barbie baby clothes! I ordered a "baby hospital nursery playset" on Amazon (6 babies, 3 girls 3 boys) and it included all the accessories for all 6 babies. I had my Barbie and Ken (Jade Amber Leigh and Ryan Sage) "adopt" a boy and a girl (Honor Grace and Valor James), and I have been having a BLAST sewing for the new babies. The only part I hate is that I have to pack everything up until we move (which God willing, should be the end of the month, beginning of next month), so I've been busy packing. But the good news of it, my machine hates small things, so the baby clothes are being hand sewn, and they'll be PERFECT to make in the downtime keeping my little girl out of the way while everyone is bringing stuff into the new house. And I'm also planning on starting to teach her hand sewing with a needle and thread rather than a plastic needle and yarn.
That sounds like so much fun and a great way to stay busy with all that you have going on!! I’ll be praying for you and your family’s safety and health and for a smooth move in the midst of all this craziness. I’m sure it must be stressful so I’m glad you have something to work on to keep busy! I bet your daughter loved playing with them too and will have a blast learning to sew 😃 Stay safe!

A lot of other sewing channels I've watched are so hard to understand for me (even if they state they're for beginners) but your videos are fantastic (for starters to experts) with efficient step by step instructions. Hello from the UK! it’s a scary time indeed but I think we need to all pull together and focus on our love of crafting and sewing to distract us at least for a little while x RUclips videos I think will be a good distraction and keep those who maybe lonely know their sewing community is there with them and share some ‘normality’ or at least that’s what I plan to do with my videos 😁 stay safe and look forward to more of your videos xx

Honestly I’ve seen so many tutorials for face masks and have read so much conflicting information about whether they are effective or not that I won’t be making a tutorial for one, but I’ve seen a lot come out in the last week so I hope you can find one that works for you. I have read a lot of information that they are more of a last resort and won’t protect like medical grade masks will, but I suppose having one as a little extra protection is better than none at all. Hi, I only recently found your channel. Your content is really nice! Here in the UK lots of shut ins have been diving into crafting especially sewing. Like me many have been checking out their redundant bed linen! Your patterns are Just the thing as there are only so many face masks you need to make now we are allowed out.
