  • Someone has to do it. You will need a bucket, a paintbrush, and some paper towels.

That would all work. I just find it easier to haul a bucket out of the garage instead of all that. But no reason why that wouldn’t work, and may be better.

I use a small paint brush to remove the ash but it sucks.
Full disclosure: I have a PK O and it's so much easier to clean.
Bought a 360 and I think it's inferior to the original. It might look better but you'll never convince me it cooks better.

The paint brush does suck, thanks for watching and commenting.

I use a whisk broom and it works okay but now I use small shop vac. I like original better too, especially after I realized the 360 was made in China. It is much easier to clean.

@@mdees88 what exactly is it that makes the old model easier to clean? How do you clean it?

@@ajw1976Horn I pull the lid off, take the cooking and charcoal grates off, then pick up the capsule and dump the ash in a trashcan.... quick and simple. On the 360 I remove both the grates, hang a bucket on the back of the grill, remove the plug, remove the ash covers, then use a small whisk broom to brush the ash into the bucket. Problem is the bottom of the grill has humps and ridges from the air intake so brushing the ash out takes some time. The bottom of the original is flat so you just pick the capsule up and dump it and all the ash falls out. Much quicker and easier IMO. I bought a small shop vac to use on the 360 now and it works much better than brushing.

@@mdees88 Thanks for the quick response. I’m looking at getting the new PK300. I like the simplicity of just dumping it in the trash. I guess the new vent covers adds that extra hassle, but overall still fairly simple. I wish it had some kind of ash sweep like my Weber kettle though. What are your thoughts on the new PK300?
