We enjoyed your comparison. All grills and kamados have their good points, so it really depends on what your goals might be in the long term, and of course what you're really to invest. In our case, you're investing in a versatile kamado that quite literally will last generations. It's worth every dime, but we're naturally bias. Ultimately, we're just glad folks are grilling on something! That's what life is all about! Grill out! 🔥

That's why I bought it. I didn't want to crack any Clay pots. I always thought that was a strange material to build a grill out of. Cast-iron makes far more sense. and there is the bonus of my great grandkids cooking on it.

@@whitepinesbbq6880 We thought so too. One of our managers owned a Big Green Egg and hated the fragility and cheap build of his cooker, so the idea was born to build a cast iron version so superior, no ceramic could compare. We achieved that. It's strange to us why anyone would own a ceramic kamado. Lots of marketing dollars have been spent convincing people that colorful red or green ceramic is the choice. It's been said that the ceramic is foreign sourced, whereas our cooker is 100% American made. Go figure.

@@GoldensCastIron We live near ocean. We experience higher humidity than normal. Only place I can keep this kamado is in backyard out in the open with cover on. Will the natural elements cause rust.

If I could only have one of these for the rest of my life I would choose the Golden’s cast iron kamado. It’s more versatile as it doubles as a fine smoker for pork butts or briskets and yet is a very awesome grill for high temp cooking and then you can do smash burgers on the heat deflector plate. It’s never going to wear out. If smoking low and slow isn’t an issue the PK will serve all your direct and indirect grilling needs. Both excellent cookers! Nice review..

Thank you for watching. I was trying my best to be fair to both. I agree with you, though, if I could only have one, it would be the Goldens'.
