    Perfect tips! We lived in Queenstown for a while and many of our housemates had to leave due to not finding the "perfect" jobs. Keep an open mind when looking for a job in QT and try something random!

    Recently went to Queenstown with a native Maori and was amazed at the way of life there. Would totally go back and was very impressed.

      Ahh great timing!!! Have the best time!! Ummm I personally wouldn't go Happy Travels (unless pushy sales is your thing). Kiwi Discovery is a lovely shop in the middle of town! I would recommend trying your luck there :)

    I love all of your video guides on working and living in different countries (it did in fact help me a lot when I was about to move to Perth last year). So Auckland is my next planned destination. But I'm still considering between Hobart in Oz and Auckland for a long term move. Could you please make a video about Auckland if you have ever lived in there? Thanks a lot and hope you can read my comment xx.

    I really miss the Queenstown posts and I'm glad you have more to share. The scenery was awesome and you narrated it so well. Is there any scenery footage that didn't make it to the vlog that you can post as well?

    would you consider doing a Video on the differences between working Australia and new zealand, where to Start, where it is "easier" to find a Job/travel/travelmates? And if you are new to travel, which one would be more suitable for a working Holiday?
    absolutely Love your Videos!

    Great tips and links to places! I am planning to go to either Australia or New Zealand in 2019 for a working holiday (after I save up after this year and next years summer travels ha!). I'm still undecided where to go, both places look amazing and I really want to do both, which I will, but which one first?
    I have watched all your videos from both Australia and your recent New Zealand ones and both countries look just as amazing as each other, in different ways. Which country would you say between the two? So glad I still have lots of time to decide haha!
    Enjoy your trip to Menorca this week :)!

    • @BackpackingBananas
      @BackpackingBananas  7 лет назад +3

      i aspire to be that level of organised Hannah! you have lots of time to decide. It's hard to say which is better because different people like each one for different reasons. For better weather, better beaches and much better pay - Australia for sure. But if you want something more low-key, lots of hiking, long drives and incredible mountainous scenery (but really shit pay) then New Zealand. If you are planning on doing both countries at some point though then I guess it doesn't matter all too much which one goes first :) xx

    • @HannahMcFarlane1029
      @HannahMcFarlane1029 7 лет назад +2

      Ha yeah I always want to know where I want to go next, which is pretty much everywhere but hey gotta narrow it down!
      Thanks for replying! Helped for sure as I didn't know about the pay in New Zealand, so maybe Australia year one, save up more money, New Zealand year two :D! Then home, be poor for a while, save, repeat!
      All this wanderlust is what gets me through every day :)! Thanks again for the advice! x

    Hi! Thank you for all your tips and for sharing your experiences, it's been so helpful. I'd like to ask if you had problems working with your working holiday visa in the travel agency while working also in nomads in exchange for accommodation, food and so on (because I've heard about people being exported because of that there). Also, my partner and I are traveling together there, do you think it would be difficult to be hired in nomads together? I'd be very grateful for any tips and suggestions, cheers!

    I am an International student from India, planning to pursue my 1 year studies their, Do we have any Indian spice stores in Queenstown and what are the bare essentials to bring if you are planning a long term stay in Queenstown?

    • @NZPocketGuide

      One of my housemates in Queenstown was Indian and he managed to get some Indian spices from somewhere in QT. Sorry we don't have specifics, but they do exist!

    This may not be your area of expertise, but do you think Queenstown is a viable living option for someone in a wheelchair?

    • @BackpackingBananas
      @BackpackingBananas  6 лет назад +3

      You’re right, not my area of expertise, but I don’t see why not. You would be able to get around the town with no problems. I’m not so sure how many of the activities cater to wheelchair users though.

    Who's legs are those? :'D
    And then a little bit of friendly feedback; is it possible for you to change that quite awful sound, which comes for example in this video 2:18 when there is "a sticker", where says "Tip 1"? :) I'm sorry I'm bad at explaining this, I don't know what it's called. :D But this isn't the only video you have used this sound and I don't know if it's my headphones or ears or does it bother anyone else, but to my ears it's louder than the rest of the video and it pierces through my ears quiter uncomfortably. :/ I don't want to sound like a whiny bitch, but it takes a lot of enjoyment off from my end, when I watch your videos.
    But otherwise I love your videos! :)
