I am honestly way more into this bright colour chaos than I am into the sorted-by-colour look. This also has the advantage of looking like you could actually use it, while the sorted-by-colour way seems to me like pure anarchistic hell.
This might sound stupid but these house renovation videos of yours make me feel like I'm incredible and that anything is possible. Just by watching you tackle this house little by little. I'm not really one to be easily inspired but these videos are such a deep, penetrative inspiration and comfort at the same time. When I moved from California to Kentucky, i could only being about half of my collection. I donated close to 100 books to a new highschool English teacher for her in class library, and though I was sad to see them go, I was glad they had the possibility to spark some inspiration to read in some kids 😁

Awesome! My grandma is 82 and doesn’t have internet or even a smartphone, so she has many thousands of books. So many bookshelf cabinets everywhere. And her house is only a 2 bed 1 bath with 2 living rooms. A lot of hers are related to farming, cooking, gardening, history, and children’s books. I don’t have a ton of books, but still a good amount, so now you’ve got my wheels turning for book storage solutions in my future house.
I love that you put classical music over the organization montage because whenever I organize my bookshelves I’m always screaming internally and yet this was so soothing 😂
I also really love how she's sharing little projects along her renovation process. A lot of reno channels just show the before and after with a big gap in between the construction time. These are fun simple projects that aren't on the internet like redoing a closet, or making a bookshelf wall or a FRAME haul!! I love it so much ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Before I bought my house, I had to squish in a small apartment for 8 months and there was no room for my books! I'm not ashamed to say that when I finally moved into my big house and unpacked all my books and art pieces, I wept with joy.
Can I just say I love the lavender/lilac baseboards and door trim? So pretty and ethereal. And I'm usually not a fan of open shelves, but yours do look phenomenal.
I recently attempted to do shelves like this. Once I got started and realized how hard it was to get the shelves even with the brackets I gave up, plastered the holes I put in my wall, and repainted! 😂😂😂 I wish I had your talent! I almost had a mental breakdown trying to get those shelves up. Yours look GORGEOUS!

You talked about being cold when you first arrived. Will you be replacing your windows with thermal windows? You live in a very cold climate. Will you be comfortable there in winter? What is the condition of your roof? Will you need to replace it soon? How about your foundation? Your house is very near that lovely creek. Does the creek flood? Does your foundation keep water out? I wish you all the best, and I look forward to your videos.

A fantastic question. The main benefit of the tracks is that you can customize your shelves if you suddenly want a different layout. But what I realized after having the tracks for a year is that I would never actually change them, haha! I would just rather add another shelf to a different wall or room in a house as opposed to shoving more shelves! Personally I like how the brackets look more, they look more stately to me, so I love this design! Also I realized I should have said this in the video maybe but both the tracks and the brackets MUST go on to STUDS books are too heavy otherwise!! That's why the middle brackets on my shelves are actually a bit to the left and not centered! So much more important that my books don't come crashing down than it looking symmetrical!!!!
