  • Hey guys! Thanks for watching! I got just two packs in before I mashed up my props but managed to get some nice freestyle flow going at the Top Golf brando. I was using the iFlight Nazgul Evoque for this flow, and still can't believe the durability. I treat it like a straight up basher and other than submerging the thing in water (which I did), I can't break it. Knock on wood. Props to the GoPro Hero 10, too. I'm running it without a case or even TPU protection and have bashed it around quite a bit, and it's still going strong.
I'm still really trying hard to calm down my nerves and get good lines going, but the adrenaline really gets cranking so my thumbs twitch like mad. (I'm a thumber.) I usually only charge and fly from 3 to 4 packs in a day, so I don't get enough packs in to calm it down and get used to a flow. This often results in a loss of momentum and an unwanted stop when I'm trying to carry my momentum backwards, and a lot of pretty unsettling twitches that I use Reelsteady Go to smooth out.
Weirdly, I can flow pretty steadily in Uncrashed, but there are just some subtle differences like my adrenaline levels and just a nearly imperceptible difference in throttle, rates, and gravity. I used to not notice it, but now that I'm trying complex flight maneuvers (ie flippy floppy stuff) I notice it a lot. It feels like my throttle is actually more responsive IRL, my rates are maybe a bit higher IRL, and gravity/momentum is just a tiiiiiiny bit different. I love Uncrashed but I probably need to really get some real packs in to improve... then make those minute adjustments in the sim to get it tuned and feeling just right. I think that's possibly one of the biggest factors in learning FPV... tuning the sim to feel as much like your FPV drone as possible.
Anyway, thanks for watching and much love!
    Ty

Haha yeah I'm exactly the same when I get nervous, I do my best to take a deep breath if I know I'm about to do something nerv racking (like fly over water) or if I start getting shaky, it definitely helps. Nice flight!👊 Looks like fun!

Beauty van landing buddy! Hahaha. Those drones must be pretty tough huh? When you crash one like in the video here, do you have to physically reset anything? Or if it lands in the correct position is it ready for takeoff? Anyway, enjoyed your video. See you later.

Yeah they are megs tough! I probably crash it that hard at least once per outing. Usually I can flip it over with "turtle mode" and fly it back. Usually it's just a few bent props... they are way durable!
