I smiled when you showed Seaside. I worked there in about 1979 as a 25-year-old in a restaurant lounge called Hara's. My roomie and I had a small 2 story apartment about 6 blocks south of the main street. An older structure attached to a row of about 7 cottages, a mom-and-pop run place. Our living room had a huge picture window right on the coast! It was heaven. My friend's bedroom was right on the main floor, and a set of left-angle flights of stairs was the living room, with my bed in a built-in alcove in the living room directly across from the picture window. I woke up in the mornings, raised my bamboo blinds, and saw the Pacific. Galley kitchen and a bathroom so small only a person could fit in. It was cheap enough for two young bartenders to afford. I'm sure the place is torn down by now, and the affordability would be well beyond the means of a pair of a young single woman in today's time. Grateful I had it. Interesting people, characters, and professionals blending. Seeing gray whales migrate from our living room was a highlight. We saw them spouting, and rising without binoculars, but it was amazing with them. Beautiful state. The painted hills are a must see as well.
I visited Seaside as well after I just went to Cannon Beach. That place is certainly underrated and cheaper than Cannon Beach, which can be overrun sometimes
On the Oregon Coast, Ecola,Shore Acres, Oswald West and Cape Kiwanda are beautiful places, but the Samuel Boardman Scenic Corridor is really in a class by itself!
Your footage is incredibly clear and beautiful! One question: when did you visit those places? Well another question: how did you “clear” people to have such an empty park all to yourself? I have seen other RUclips videos of the same places but they were shoulders to shoulders!!!
Aww Great Video. Beautiful State Oregon! I See USA in Channel Boarding Adventure!! Thanks for the Good Places info. Namaste from Kerala :)) God bless you!
Thanks for sharing. Have been watching your Hawaii and Alaska trips. Lol. How many days did you travel for Oregon to do all of the things in this video?
You need at least a week to really enjoy these places. Crater lake national park, Toketee falls are far from other places in this video that are closer to Portland.
