The figurine restoration looks like magic, thank you! I dont have that type of glue so i wouldn't have thought of it but it looks great, also to prevent further damage to the box and components falling out
I've had good luck cleaning with rubbing alcohol. It evaporates so quickly that I don't have to worry about the board or box getting too wet. Thanks for the tips!
Great !! I just bought an old classic Pente game from the 80's. It was not perfect but it was pretty cheap. I'm gonna use your tips to clean and refurbish it a little. Thanks for sharing this.
Great tips and great to see you back. I use a tape from Scotch called Magic tape that is very clear and you can barely see it when applied right, I used it before on torn book covers and such.
Hi! And re welcome! Excuse me for a question, recently I've bought in Italy the game Battle of Westerios. Do you now know it? Have you ever make a video about it? Thank you and excuse for my English.... By
I bought a vintage Careers game to give as a gift to my daughter and it smells musty. What’s the best way to remove the musty smell? There’s the box, the board, the paper money, the cardboard drawing cards (similar to Monopoly’s community chest and chance cards), the paper pad to keep score and some magic slates
The first thing I'd try is baking soda. Put a small amount into an open cup or baggie and leave in the closed box for a day or two. Be sure not to move the game around and make a mess of it inside! After a day or two, check on it. You may need to reposition things (like flipping the folded board upside-down) to maximise exposure. Hope it helps, and good luck!
You can, so long as it's not on a fold in the board. If your board is split along a fold then the glue won't survive folding along that edge, and you'll need to look at some sort of tape solution. Even if not on a fold, you may need to add support underneath the board, or it'll be easy to come loose again.
Glad that you're back!
Whoa it’s been two months already? What am I doing. I barely blinked a few times.

Welcome back! These tips are great. I now feel confident gluing my own copy of Piece of Cake that I received in a trade recently. How serendipitous.
Great !!

Great tips! I usually use scotch tape on split boxes, but I think I prefer your method, less noticeable.
Welcome back D.
we missed you!

I know of the game, but I don't have access to it so I wouldn't be able to do it anytime soon. Sorry!

Yes. Though no premiere, my schedule's too messed up at the moment to be sure I can attend.
