Thanks Tim, really needed to see the mighty Murray my absolute favourite place to go camping, miss it so much!! Love your work mate, more Murray please :-)))
No worries mate. It sure was a really nice spot to camp up. I will find some more Murray River locations down the track. Thanks for your feedback mate. Cheers Tim
Miss the Murray very much 😢 great video most of my camps are on rivers like that. Great cook ups aswel mate. I suggest if you go the Murray again For fishing best is a running sinker rig corn or cheese. Get a bell and let it do its thing you will 100% catch. Thanks for the entertainment Tim.!
great stuff yet again. Ive been trying every blacksmith i can find, welder, metlsmith etc to get a cook set like yours forged...... yes there are "off the shelf cheaper options" , but hand made, always original sings to me.....
@@timbates4wdadventures We go to Christies Beach near Echuca to test our Camp Chairs (more drinking really but a bit of testing), not as remote as where you are but looks very similar!
Great video and what a fantastic location. All the bird calls are special including the butcher birds who have such a melodious call. You can’t beat a night shower or for that matter sitting by a fire late at night staring into the coals. Ah well so good to watch your travels and certainly put the lockdown and COVID-19 in the background.
Gday Ron, Yeah mate, this trip had it all. Location, bird sounds, bush cooking and the rain. Great trip, wish I could go back. Thanks mate for your feedback. Cheers Tim.
Great spot. I spent the New Year 2020-21 near there. Looks like the weather is nice and cool this time of the year. Now I can’t go more than 5km from my house due to lockdown. Thanks for posting this. I miss camping.
G'day Jason, Endless supply of firewood along the Murray mate. You dont have to go far for a load. Yeah mate, we are all in lock down now. Lets hope mate it's all over soon. Take care and stay safe. Cheers Tim
I have been cursing you Tim while watching your video with you sitting by the fire, alongside the Murray at night, while l sit on my plain boring couch. All kidding aside l can't wait to get back out there so thanks again Tim.
Thanks Tim makes us all want to get out when we can as usual your camera work puts us in the picture helps with lockdown Mate The Murray has a great number of spots to camp away from the crowds which we are all craving PS you mentioned you run your fridge even when you are home you might want to do a lockdown Vid as to Fridge hints and tips to keep em going Thanks again Tim
G'day Peter, No worries mate. I appreciate your feedback on the video. Tops tuff mate. Hope we can all travel again very soon. I could do a video on my fridge while in lock down mate. See how that goes in the coming weeks. Thanks for your feedback mate. Cheers Tim
Just another great time in the bush Tim. Can’t wait to get back down there and visit some of the places you’ve been. Stay safe everyone. Thanks again mate.
Hi mate, just got into your RUclips channel, bloody awesome, those lamb shanks and mash, shit mate looked so amazing, heading up to boundry bend next week ,will give these bad boys a try,,keep up the good videos mate, cheers
Gday Malcolm , Thanks mate for checking out my channel. Mate give those shanks a go for sure. Pretty easy to cook up in the camp oven and they taste amazing. Thanks for your feedback. Cheers Tim
Thanks Tim. Being in lockdown and watching this video makes me feel as if I am beside the Murray, hearing the birds calling out and the occasional paddle boat coming by. Wish I could be out there tonight. Perhaps a backyard fire will have to do. Cheers, Floyd.
G'day Jason, No mate, no garlic in these cook ups. Lol Maybe on the next one. Hope we can travel; soon mate. This is a great spot as is the first Murray River episode. Thanks for your feedback mate. Cheers Tim
G'day Colin, Cant beat a simple but tasty cook up on the campfire. Bangers and mash is it. Lol Thanks mate for your reply and you take care during these times. Cheers Tim
Gday Simon, They were great times on the Murray River mate. I’m looking forward to seeing more along the river. Thanks mate for your feedback. Cheers Tim
Once again you’re in a top spot all alone. I’m surprised and a little envious how you find isolated spots so often. Can’t beat the Murray, really, apart from an alpine camp with a view.
Hi Tim thanks for sharing your experiences. My partner and I did a trip from Tom Groggin in NSW as close as we could get to the source the Murray and followed the River by road as close as we could get, free camping until we reached its outlet at Lake Alexandrina SA. An Iconic trip.
Tim another great video mate the Murray River looks great now there is some water coming down stream. Just a cooking tip when cooking scrammbled eggs keep the milk out. Just use butter no salt either mate you won't look back.
Gday Glenn, Yeah mate, the river is flowing nicely at the moment. It’s pretty high that’s for sure. Drop the milk you reckon. Might have to try that one. Thanks for the tip. Cheers Tim.
Great video mate. I headed away for my first solo trip last weekend in tassie. Definitely a different experience but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Will definitely be doing more in the future 👌
Thats ace mate that you had a good time on your solo camping trip. Tassie would be unreal to get away in on your own. Thanks mate for your feedback. Cheers Tim
Anywhere along this great river is the perfect place to start your solo camping if you are a bit worried going out alone. You can start doing these type of trips until you are comfortable then slowly branch out further. Thanks Tim you are my lock down saviour!
Yeah mate, this trip and the one before are great places top try out solo camping. Stay safe mate in lock down, i hope we can all go again soon. Cheers Tim

Some great spots along the Murray River to camp This was really where I stayed. You pontoon boat sounds great mate. Would be nice cruzing the river in it. Cheers Tim
Had my first solo camp on the weekend Tim. Not waiting for the D-max delivery, Falcon ute, esky & swag, got out of Brisbane before we have another lock down. Brilliant!
Started holidays the day regional nsw went into lockdown. I’ve got another 4 weeks left and hopefully i can get out there. Stuck in the house with my better half but nearly ready to set up camp in the backyard!!😂😂 thanks for the vid mate. 👍
Tim What would be your favourite spot to camp that place that left you would say left an impression on me, I talking for everyone here your are very well filmed and edited and camp fire scenes provide that feeling of calm and relaxation in these Covid times im camping this week at a isolated location south of Sydney near Woronora Dam cant wait to get away from the world for 24 hrs.
G'day Hayden, mate way to many spots i have camped in to really pick a fav spot. They are all special. Cant get enough. Thanks a lot mate for your feedback. Lets hope we can all travel soon. You take care up in Sydney mate. Cheers Tim
As a fellow solo traveler I appreciate the serenity of the Aussie bush. The Murray has a ambiance & vibe of its own, but exploring with a kayak is another level of wonder. Hope to see a kayak on your roof racks one day. Keep up the great vids.
Gday Glenn, Yeah mate, the Murray has it all going. Stunning area to setup camp and those birds sounds are simply amazing. Funny you mention the kayak. I only mentioned to a mate not half an hour ago, about looking into a kayak for future Murray River trips. That would be a top camp spot to go and explore the Murrumbidgee. Thanks heaps mate for your feedback. Cheers Tim.
@@timbates4wdadventures Thanks Tim for your reply, I have enjoyed paddling my kayak on many inland rivers, lakes and offshore for over 10 years and introduced some mates to kayaking. I have found the sit on style to be the most practical in case of falling in they are easy to re-mount.Research is advisable before you commit because you only have to buy one to last a life time. No rego, no fuel & no battery plus good exercise. Good luck and hope to see you out there one day.
Hi Tim. great video. Have you in any of your trips and camping along the Murray river, seen any of the monitor species or the rare Murray Darling Carpet Python ? Also, where did you get your cooking stand/pot/pan holder with the adjustable height and swivel, they look so simple yet extremely effective.
Thanks mate. Glad you enjoyed the video. Great trip and location that was on the Murray. I haven’t seen any goanna’s, I have while camping on the Snowy River. Certainly no sightings of the python you mentioned. That set is hand made from about 10 years ago. Not from a shop. Cheers Tim.
I hope theres no gators and crocs in that creek bed. Only twice did i ever camp near a water source. But the guys always allowed me to pitch my tent slightly away from the edge of the river during our motorcycles adventure trip. They know im worried too much on gators and crocs coming up from the river. But it seems theres none when you camp there. Maybe im worried too much. Loves Hayliee (Brisbane)😘😘😘😘😘
Yeah mate, we dont have those critters in our rivers. To cold for them down here. You can have them mate. You take care and stay safe up in Brissy. Cheers Tim
Great looking camping areas in both Part 1 and Part 2. With Part 2 is that Forestry Camping or local Government? I am in Qld and area looks great Murray and Murrumbidgee. Great videos thank you so much.
Gday Stephen, Really nice camping spots mate in both episodes. Very relaxing to say the least. Thanks mate for your feedback. Greatly appreciate it. You take care up in QLD mate. Cheers Tim.
Tim, the one thing I love about your videos, is the ease of your cooking methods, nothing fancy, but basic good old-fashioned meals, great camping spots, cold beers, and fresh air. Cannot wait to get my travels underway and try to do what you do, keep things simple 😎😎 I would like to ask though, what size camp oven do you use?
Gday Warren Basic cooking methods is a the way to go, simple and easy. But amazing meals are made from those basic campfire cooking methods. You can’t beat campfire cooker meals, they taste the best. My camp oven is a 12in. Plenty big enough for cooking in. Thanks mate for your feedback. Cheers Tim.
Nice video :) Tip for snags. Put them into cold water, bring them to a boil for a couple mins take them out and put directly over the fire until crispy instead of on the pan ;) give it a go.
Great video Tim and wow what an amazing location there. Really enjoying the videos. Interested in the oven you are using and sorry if you've already explained. There is something inside the base of the oven that lifts it off the base? I assume that reduces burning risk. I am in the uk and have been totally converted to using your camping method. Although you do make everything look so easy too 👍 All the best mate, stay safe and keep those videos coming 👍👏😊
Gday Lee Yes, I use what’s called a trivet in the bottom of the camp oven. It helps to stop the bottom of what you’re cooking from biting and provides better hot air flow around the meal being cooked. I have a video on how to use a camp oven. I explain in that video the benefits of using one. Thanks for your reply and feedback. Cheers Tim.
@@timbates4wdadventures Hi Tim thanks very much. I went onto your channel and watched the video with 7 cooking items, that was very helpful. I need that iron fire arm for toasting and pot stability. That could be a very popular seller for you😉 I watched your advice about the oven and found it very helpful. Thanks for your help Tim. As you can see I am a late developer in camping, so your videos are very useful. All the best mate and hope you don't mind all my questions 👍
Serenity of camping is best. It's what you make of it and how you do it that says a lot. Enjoy

Miss the Murray very much 😢 great video most of my camps are on rivers like that. Great cook ups aswel mate.
I suggest if you go the Murray again
For fishing best is a running sinker rig corn or cheese. Get a bell and let it do its thing you will 100% catch. Thanks for the entertainment Tim.!
I miss going up to the Murray I have a lot of great memories. Thank you for the video 👍
G'day Craig,
Great spot mate. Hope you can go again soon.
Cheers Tim
great stuff yet again. Ive been trying every blacksmith i can find, welder, metlsmith etc to get a cook set like yours forged...... yes there are "off the shelf cheaper options" , but hand made, always original sings to me.....
Some simular items in the camping shops.
Cheers Tim
Looks awesome!
Amazing camp spot mate.

Gday Ron,
Yeah mate, this trip had it all.
The weather was great mate apart from a bit of rain that night. Stunning weather during the day.
Travel again soon i hope mate.

Endless supply of firewood along the Murray mate. You dont have to go far for a load.

Take care and stay safe.

Thanks Tim. Being in lockdown and watching this video makes me feel as if I am beside the Murray, hearing the birds calling out and the occasional paddle boat coming by. Wish I could be out there tonight. Perhaps a backyard fire will have to do. Cheers, Floyd.

They were great times on the Murray River mate.
I’m looking forward to seeing more along the river.

Once again you’re in a top spot all alone. I’m surprised and a little envious how you find isolated spots so often. Can’t beat the Murray, really, apart from an alpine camp with a view.
Thanks mate. This was a ripper spot and very quiet and remote.
I had a mate help me with this location.
The Murray has it all.

Magic spot mate! Leave a line in with a cube of cheese on the hook. Cod go nuts for it..👍 😉 🎣🍻

A few people have mentioned using cheese.
I’ll have to give it a go next time.

Hi Tim thanks for sharing your experiences. My partner and I did a trip from Tom Groggin in NSW as close as we could get to the source the Murray and followed the River by road as close as we could get, free camping until we reached its outlet at Lake Alexandrina SA. An Iconic trip.
G'day mate,
That would have been one amazing trip.
Tom Groggin is a top spot on the Murray River.
Thanks for your reply mate.

Tim another great video mate the Murray River looks great now there is some water coming down stream. Just a cooking tip when cooking scrammbled eggs keep the milk out. Just use butter no salt either mate you won't look back.
Gday Glenn,
Yeah mate, the river is flowing nicely at the moment.

Another great one Tim! That same boat went past in your last clip too. Cheers Steve
Yeah mate. Great way to travel the river. Slow and relaxing.

The Charles Sturt expedition in 1830 then retraced their journey by rowing the 1500 kms back against the tide.
Righto.

Nice one Tim

I thought of Slim Dusty's song Along the Road to Gundagai .. where he mentions the murrumbidgees flowin
Great song mate from a true country legend.

Had my first solo camp on the weekend Tim. Not waiting for the D-max delivery, Falcon ute, esky & swag, got out of Brisbane before we have another lock down. Brilliant!
Sounds great mate. Thats great you got away before the lock downs kicked in.

Started holidays the day regional nsw went into lockdown. I’ve got another 4 weeks left and hopefully i can get out there. Stuck in the house with my better half but nearly ready to set up camp in the backyard!!😂😂 thanks for the vid mate. 👍
Me too rich , have just had 5 weeks off , was suppose to go to Cape York , spent 3 weeks in lockdown, I'm feeling your pain mate , stay strong

G'day Hayden,
mate way to many spots i have camped in to really pick a fav spot.
They are all special. Cant get enough.
Thanks a lot mate for your feedback. Lets hope we can all travel soon.
You take care up in Sydney mate.

I haven’t watched yet but please, please please Tim I hope you said “how’s the serenity”…😂😂😂😂😂🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Mmmm, not sure on this one mate. Lol
Cheers Tim
As a fellow solo traveler I appreciate the serenity of the Aussie bush. The Murray has a ambiance & vibe of its own, but exploring with a kayak is another level of wonder. Hope to see a kayak on your roof racks one day. Keep up the great vids.
Gday Glenn,
Yeah mate, the Murray has it all going.
Cheers Tim.
Great idea, i recently bought a kayak and looking forward to throwing it and the swag on the roof rack and heading to the Murray.
Cheers Tim
@@timbates4wdadventures 😘😘😘😘😘
Great looking camping areas in both Part 1 and Part 2. With Part 2 is that Forestry Camping or local Government? I am in Qld and area looks great Murray and Murrumbidgee. Great videos thank you so much.
Gday Stephen,
Really nice camping spots mate in both episodes.
Gday Warren
Basic cooking methods is a the way to go, simple and easy.
Gday mate,
Sounds like an interesting tip that one.
Thanks a lot for that. Might have to give it a try.
Cheers Tim
Great video Tim and wow what an amazing location there. Really enjoying the videos. Interested in the oven you are using and sorry if you've already explained. There is something inside the base of the oven that lifts it off the base? I assume that reduces burning risk. I am in the uk and have been totally converted to using your camping method. Although you do make everything look so easy too 👍 All the best mate, stay safe and keep those videos coming 👍👏😊
Gday Lee
Yes, I use what’s called a trivet in the bottom of the camp oven.
