Adam Faith - "Budgie" Series1 Episode1 LWT, 9th April 1971 - "Out"

Adam Faith stars as Ronald "Budgie" Bird who's "out" (just been released from prison). He' given the job of looking after Charity, one of Charlie Endell's strippers. In the middle of that, Budgie and his Irish mate Grogan accidentally steal a van load of pornographic magazines from the police. Chaos ensues when they try to destroy the evidence by burning everything on a cricket field.

For such an underhanded, selfish loser, Budgie was made strangely likeable by Adam Faith's great performance. Fabulous stuff!!
