I really like the "market crash" being influenced by all players. It does seem a much more complicated version of Suburbia but looks really good! I like Suburbia a lot and it is quite simple encompassing most of the mechanics you explained in Magnate. As always great review!

Almost sounds like a souped up Lords of Vegas as some of the mechanisms seem similar. I'll give this a miss (I don't do KS) and LoV fills that property dev theme well enough already.

There are dice, but its definitely no luck fest, skilled player will always win. It would be bad for AP though

Having only played one, i honestly can't say. I'd suggest watching actualols review of skylines and making up your own mind.

Yes but this is one of the most out of this world thing ever. I started getting interested in this game today and a few minutes ago they made a video on it. Wow :)

I rarely mention price because that fluctuates, and my reviews are always about pros and cons of the game not "this good, this bad", thats up to you to decide. I like the bulk of the game but found the counting up to do tenanting something that detracted from the game play.
I've gotta be honest, even recognising the underlying message I think I would feel far too dirty playing this game. Great review as always!
the mechanics are interesting but the theme seems rather boring, when u compare it to something like wingspan, or spirit island, or ...well, most of the games :D
I'd play magnate any day over Wingspan though.
I don't know if "theme" is the word you're looking for. Unless you really think a game about abstracted bird watching is more exciting than a game about navigating and profiting from a market crash?
