Vickie Gugala cerave is the best drugstore brand in my opinion.... fragrance free, worked really well, doesn’t have a ton of crap ingredients, and it’s very affordable.

Oil cleansing (aka first cleansing) is super popular in Asian beauty routines. It is just now catching on in Western beauty. There are *tons* of wonderful first cleansers from Korean and Japanese Brands. Also, there are several AB moisturizers that have very similar ingredient labels to the Tatcha Cream (Camellia Leaf, Rice Ferment, Squalane, and hydrolyzed silk are very popular AB ingredients) but for less than a quarter of the price. For those who want items like these, but dont want the $$, I recommend doing some research into Asian Beauty routines.

I'll tell you that I can't possibly afford that Dermalogica precleanse. I use Hada labo cleansing oil that I get through Amazon. I use it exactly the way she uses her oil. I don't have any trouble rinsing it off my skin, and then I follow it up with a gentle cleanser from CeraVe. It never causes me to break out or have any problems at all. I also have extremely sensitive eyes, and this removes my L'Oreal lash Paradise waterproof easily and without any scrubbing. And there are no problems afterwards. I think the Hada Labo is great! And it cost about $13 a bottle!

I use the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant (pick up off ebay). It is a bit pricey but you only use like 1/2 tsp of it at a time.
I've been liking the Loreal Pure-Clay Cleanser the Purify-Mattify clay to mousse version. The charcoal one (Detox-Brighten) is ok too. Again, only a 1/2 tsp or so, then foam up with water. Those run about $9 US.

Hey Nikkia, I really love your skincare recommendations and since you're an oily skinned girl just like I am (we're in it together), I am wondering what type of moisturizer to use? I have tried so many different companies, their products promised to keep me matte and shine free several hours/all day but they let me down every single time (dramatic sob). Would it be better to not use such a moisturizer? But to rather get something totally different? Tatcha is out of the question (budget reasons) and so is the water gel from dermalogica (love dermalogica) but I'm open for suggestions! Lots of love from Germany your way.

I tried body shop microdermabrasion it worked SO well for me but that's just for my personal skin, it's not too abrasive and I'd just follow it up with a moisturiser (it's orange), also prevent myself from going in the sun and darkening those scars. I think i tired nip fab things too they had glycerin or hyaluronic acid which apparently are quite beneficial for dark spots - didn't work as well but helped a tiny bit. These things might not work or apply to you but i really hope you find a combo for your skin and that pigmentation fades, i can guarantee less sun exposure or a good spf lotion will help alot for past and future marks.

Sometimes older is better. Old fashioned cold cream is hands down the best thing to get eye makeup off, even waterproof mascara. Dampen your face, rub it over, have a damp cloth handy and then gently rub it off. I wash with a normal cleanser afterwards because it’s a bit much for my skin but if you have dry skin just rinse, no moisturiser needed.
Also L’Oréal infallible pressed powder is the best powder ever. They should pay me by how much I rant about it.

Hi Nikkia;) Have you ever tried anything from Kiehl’s products? Was thinking about purchasing their moisturizer (Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream) and eye cream (Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado). If you have, what was your experience? Was it worth it? Thanks ❤️

I've been using the banana eye cream for 2 weeks and its amazing. It actually makes my concealer look so good. I stopped using concealer for awhile because all concealers made my under eyes look cakey but now with the banana eye cream underneath, i can wear concealer again:)

For those who cannot afford Tatcha let me tell you Neutragena Moisture Bomb is Just like it!! I'm serious and I'm not w the company. And Loreal's and Olay skincare line is Definitely the Best doup drugstore wise. Think about it. Our grandmothers grandmother used these lines and they have survived !! Why? Cus they work! And i know L'oreal has their own Lab in PARIS and they develop their own products. I personally think Tatcha is probably a subsidiary of L'oreal. Kind of like Kylie is to Colorpop...
So save your money and try them. They may not send PR PACKAGES so thats why they are not mentioned alot but for real.. save some money so u can buy more makeup!!

I love the PreCleanse by Dermalogica. I use it every night to remove my makeup. One of the things I really love about it is that it’s got Lavender essential oil in it. You can scent any product with lavender, and I WILL buy it!! I’ve only tried the Tacha primer and it’s become my favorite so now I need to try that cream. Thanks Nikkia. Another great video!
