Production Note: Had to fade out the “blueprint” parts a bit more than usual because the “find lines” function has a bit too much to work with considering the amount of surface detail this thing has.
Viewing Note:
If you want to follow along, I recommend skipping to the speed run and using the Chrome plugin called "Frame by Frame for RUclips". It turns your , and . keyboard keys into single-frame movement keys. Every step of the transformation is documented in the frames of the video, in what I consider to be the best sequence. With minimal rubbing and minimal parts-parking.

@@Y34HT045T I ran through a sequence frame by frame from the AoE movie and his head does not end up in the dino's butt like this figure does. So I respectfully disagree. Still a cool transformation!
@@peolesdru grimlock has confusing transformation.. his transformation from robot mode to trex mode is different from his transformation from alt mode to robot mode.. look at grimlock's scene in bridge, he transform back differently.. this toy is based on that bridge transformation
@@falldiifadliifadill That doesn't suprise me. The animators didn't really care about the transformation other than to have a bunch of parts rearrange into the other mode. This approach reached its zenith with Galvatron and "transformium".
First time I've watched a transformation in horror... it's like you made a person out of the remains of a dinosaur with a chainsaw.

Finally, a mechanic function that is actually what I wanted to see grimlock transform like!
This is the most accurate version of Grimlock transformation as shown in the movies. Of course in the movie they just rearranged stuff from Robot to form Dino, but there were some thing that similar to this Figure.
The arms of Robot become Dino's legs, the Robot's leg scrolled up to form the Dino's body and the head of Dino split in half to become shoulder pads.
Watching this video is like watching Tenet, unlimited reverse and play

This is great, but imagine if any OSKO of Grimlock that is in scale with UT Challenger with G-Creation mold and design. The price will be phenomenal, but the shelf presence would surely be intimidating :D

This thing is quite different from that 2014 Leader figure. For one thing it actually looks like the movie! But seriously, it does transform quite differently.

Seeing Optimus standing in front of robot mode Grimlock made me fall in love with this figure. It's so big and intimidating, his presence is amazing. I really want it but the shipping is so expensive... Maybe some day...

Damn, that Grimlock figure was by far the most accurate looking one I've ever seen. When seeing the design & how complex his transformation was, I kind of wonder the makers could create a Dragonstorm figure that actually requires all 12 of the Guardian Knights of Iacon to pull it off?! Well I don't know about you, but what do you think?
I can't imagine anyone would do that, but GCreation or UT or DX9 could do it.

Alas, I cannot. I have MP-9 Rodimus, but the US release without the trailer. (If that's what you meant). My next video is the MMC Ocular Max Probus (Combaticon Brawl)

I mean most Transformers video you play involve either normal figures, triple changers, or components for a combiner, but nothing like Optimus Prime (specifically RID 2001, Armada, Energon, and Cybertron) where he can Transform into super mode by merging with his trailer. But I suppose, I could deal with it for now.

I did a livestream a while back where I tour my man-cave.
You didn’t transform the “robot mode” upper back correctly. There’s several plates that need to move into position.
I'm pretty late here, but there are still some parts of the transformation that you missed, specifically around the back of the figure in robot mode.

I was thinking about picking this guy up. I was wondering if you've experienced any qc issues with him, I haven't seen anyone else say anything about bad qc.
