Haven't heard anyone say that you are too critical Aaron. Quite the opposite is the case. We appreciate your RU support, and Our offense can be a winning offense if we had a defense that gets stops. The DEFENSE is the issue this season. Coach H has to come up with answers!
Always appreciate your frankness, objectivity, and optimism. Season ticket holder watching from TX & am encouraged that the team played with more heart tonight. Hopefully, the improvement continues in November & our dormant defense recovers. #scarletforever
Aaron always appreciate your take on Rutgers sports and l really understand your disappointment about this football season so far. I older than you and became a Rutgers fan in 1976 when both my older siblings were attending Rutgers. I was younger and remember Rutgers football being undefeated and also remember listening to Rutgers basketball in the final four. I had no idea that these undefeated seasons were rare and Rutgers would struggle so much since that time. I don't live in NJ so l was able to bet on Rutgers for the over of 6.5 wins this football season. I still believe l will win and Rutgers will be 7-5 with the only loss against Illinois.
Sorry im a Trojan fan for over four decades....Trojan were without 6 starters on defense we were playing too soft. You have a great running back and a good team but dont whine about your players missing as i said we had 6 starters missing on defense. But that makes the game , but live and die with your team that is what real fan is. Fight On
@@michaelcoyne8572 I wasn’t whining. Ignoring there are key injuries when reviewing the game is negligence. Never said it was an excuse. I should have pointed out USC’s injuries too though my apologies. The difference is Rutgers hasn’t developed any depth behind the starters. USC has 50 4 and 5 star recruits. Doesn’t guarantee success but when you are Rutgers, not developing any depth has led to this type of season. The defense is a shell of what it used to be. Good luck the rest of the season.
@@thescarletfaithful Didnt mean to say your whining and blaming the loss on injured players. I find it interesting how fan bases take the games which is why i tune into other posts on the teams the trojans play. I cant believe some trojan fans. Nil is a dangerous stree, as we had a five star recruit from Alabama who came in and demanded more Nil then complained of not enough play time and red shirted to transfer out. Keep up the good work and hope your teams problems ease up.
My frustration is seeing other similar programs elevate, other coaches out scheming opponents when undermanned, and depth that doesn't have impactful players. It's disappointing in Schiano 2.0 year 5.
The fact that you can’t develop a two deep roster in the age of the transfer portal and NIL is absolutely inexcusable. I agree that the offense has looked better Kyle is literally risking his life playing for this team. There were a few times I thought he wasn’t going to even get up after some of those runs. Year five and there is no too deep. This is incomprehensible and just shows the incompetence of what he calls a developmental program. There is no doubt those defensive players played hard. They were outmatched. Where is the fight in this defense?
It seems other teams have figured out Rutger's vulnerability on defense. You wonder if they can make the adjustments in their last 4 games to change that.
The offense looks great, too bad Kyle got banged up. The defense looks like 🗑, how injured are you if you can't cover TE's 1 on 1 and tackle. Lots of hard hitting last night
Aaron. They have been playing with effort all season! The reality is that they are not good enough to play in the Big 10 conference this season. I have absolutely no issues with the play calling. The reality is the other teams are executing more effectively on offense and especially more on defense. We have a habit of over analyzing this team.
Teams are attacking and destroying edge in run and pass.Defense should consider playing a wide 9. Add third linebacker. Take pressure off defensive ends by playing them wide and also will put linebackers in position to play vertical filling gaps vs horizontal( which they obviously can't right now)
I appreciate your ideas. Coach H has to do his job. After all the accolades he has received recently, we need to see his abilities to coach this defense to better results. Haven't seen it the last half of last season and this entire season.
They have taken the next step. Backwards. Rutgers is looking at a decade of humiliation. Teams are fighting to have RU as their first home game opponent. Penn State couldn't recruit for 5 years and they are #3. Can we stop the charade and start the discussion of going back to Division II? My God Army is ranked 21st and they actually have to go to class and pass exams.
Best of luck to Rutgers moving forward. FightOn #USC

There is no way we win another game. We have to explore N.I.L.
Every team gets injuries. Stop making excuses. This is the same old Rutgers. You beat some cream puffs. Still don't belong in the Big Ten.
They beat Howard and Akron. They are 2-4 against legit competition.
