It’s great advice and a huge huge lesson learnt for me. Unfortunately it took my heart being broken a few times by “friends” to learn this but I guess that’s the whole point of life experience.
Wow!! I have just started learning this lesson so its comforting to see that others have had this realisation too. I need to put this in practice in the work place but I too find it hard not to let people in right away.

Absolutely, in every job I have had, there have been personality issues from time to time. There is no avoiding it, unless you work at a place that is so restrictive that everyone switches off their personality before they walk through the door.
Yes totally agree. In life you will always get insecure, ruthless, jealous people; it’s a fact of life. No one is perfect and I’m certain I have bad traits. I just personal don’t understand why some people can be so determined to be at the top and do not care what it takes. Do you know what I don’t understand and what I think is the worst part, that the worst of these people convince themselves that they are right and doing nothing wrong. That to me is a sign when someone is so horrible that they are tunnel visioned into only believing they are right. We are all wrong sometimes, it’s how we deal with it and how we try to fix it and understand how others feel. That’s how friends grow together and become so strong. They don’t even take the time to talk to you to understand why you are hurt. There is ruthless and then there is dangerously ruthless. Be careful of the people that tell the world “I am a good person” “I know I’m good” “I have to think of me and what hurts me, I will be selfish and walk away”. Yes, this is selfish, inconsiderate and not kind. People who are kind and good, don’t promote it.
Just a word of caution Claire. If you go to the US every year, you can only spend 4 months a year there without becoming US tax resident. To get caught up in that tax net is complicated and expensive and hard to exit, especially as neither you nor Paris are US citizens (I am assuming). My profession is in US taxation and I am an American living in Europe married to a Brit and I know the complications that can arise. Just make sure to take professional advice if you plan on living there and also with regard to how to purchase the home - via an entity rather than directly for instance. Sorry for the drab input but I loved this video - you are always a pleasure to catch up with in these Q&A's! Great job!
Thank you for much for the advice, that’s very kind of you. Paris messes around so much and he is very playful, people often judge him (not saying you are at all) for being stupid; they like to express this in the comments. Paris has researched all of this and we are even prepared for working etc, we have (he has) it all planned. He is so thorough with things like this. Thanks again for sharing tips.

Only that in my profession I have seen so many people get caught off-guard and you mentioned spending 6 months a year in the US. I am glad you are on the ball on this - no surprise to me but was just a caution, in case. Good luck with your house-hunting and so glad the two of you keep putting out all this great content. Claire, I like these Q & A videos. We get to know a bit more about you. It’s only been about two years that I’ve been into watching You Tube, now I’m addicted. I’ve mentioned to you before you were the first “influencer” I saw you showing your handbag collection, though then I didn’t know what a Influencer was. I love handbags so to watch a video about it was awesome. I remember what you wore, jeans with a pretty white long sleeve blouse with bows at the wrist, you’d sow a bag and have a cut out showing how you styled it. I know some people with jealous attitudes because of gifts you get and trips you go on, but I know it’s exhausting, travel somewhere, go home to pack again to somewhere else. It can put a strain on your relationship, not everyone could do it. Think it’s amazing to the ones who do well and this is your career. Can’t wait to see your video when your in L.A.

25 years ago I severed a friendship. In retrospect, it should have been done 35 years ago because (in today's terminology) she was TOXIC, NARCISSISTIC, & unkind. Yes- be cautious in the first few years of knowing someone.....& it's ok to move on.

My necklace never gets twisted. However when I wear them both together they do get twisted, never knot, they just twist so it’s easy to undo.

I hope God blesses you with children Claire, you will make a great mum as you have learned a lot from your own mum and are very close with your family. I know you have a love of buying high end designer clothing, jewellery and bags and I can see that you buy a lot to add to your collections as many people before you have. If you don’t already know there is a shop in LA called The way we wore where they have a huge collection of vintage designer items in fact the lady Doris Raymond has started a you tube channel. As you have a degree in fashion you might be interested in it. The shop is also seen on the Smithsonion channel on you tube. Dita Von Teese is shown wearing the most beautiful Dior dress. Just thought you might like it. ❤️

Why is everyone jumping to such conclusions? I think Claire knows people who are not Lydia. She didn't say anything specific to point to Lydia. Don't put words in her mouth.
She was referring to ppl in the business. Lydia yes or no, not our business.
Yes but she did hang around Lydia a lot and opened her house to her and if you watch Lydia’s you tube you will notice a lot of similarities in her house that Claire already had eg: the blue dinning room chairs that Lydia is now swapping them out (and the round table) all the wonderful mirrors in her dressing room, just to mention a few as well as moving to the country! They never are seen together since Lydia’s wedding, at least this is when I noticed it. Now I still watch Lydia’s videos as well as Claire’s because whatever happened to them did not involve me, it’s sad because you guys were really funny together but I always noticed that Lydia made herself more noticeable than you Claire! Please always keep yourself true! P.S. I love your mom❣️

Regarding the plus sized styling video, and this is just an idea, why don't you do it as a sort of give away? So style one of your plus sized subscribers who would like to know how to dress their body type? I'm not saying go all out and buy them loads as that would be unfair to you, but maybe you could agree to put in say £100 each towards the clothes as you will both benefit from it? I assume most of your viewers would prefer it to be clothes at an affordable price aswell so no pressure to spend a lot. You could then go into the stores together and pull/style the clothes? Just an idea. x

Everyone gossips without my input, they have done for the last few years and it won’t stop gossip; I think you know that. I don’t have to do anything. I will continue to share experiences, lessons I’ve learnt and share the results along the way. That’s what I’m going to do.

This comment is not written the best, I can’t understand what you mean. If you mean I am wrong addresses erm no. Trust me, I am doing the other person a favour by keeping quiet. I was asked a friendship q and I had extensive experience with this on one occasion. I was more than happy to share how I dealt with it. I spoke about how I dealt with it keeping names and facts out. This is not contradictory at all, far from it. People in the comments are always sharing their opinions and actually I understand when it’s regarding something they saw online and can see; what ever the situation. It’s wrong to comment about my personal life but I totally get it when it’s something put online. Maybe you should also consider “calling some out” because that is not happened here. I spoke about how I am dealing with a bad friendship and I stand by what I say. I hope it helped some people.

That’s not my problem that people see things and name on their own accord, happens in every single one of my videos. This is nothing new and again, I stand by that I was sharing my experience with a bad friendship. We call her bad experiences with other people, we need to focus on how we deal with it. That was the focus.
