- So I discovered that this guy associates himself with the Bloods and that's a big turn off for me. I really don't appreciate music that glorifies or encourages gang ideology or activity. That's crossing a line for me and I'd really not like to hear music from people boasting about their gang affiliations or making "bad" behavior seem good and cool. People get hurt in that life. This is likely my last Playboi Carti reaction because of this song.

30 minute reaction for a 3 minute song, yikes, it's not that deep
Idk dude, people do not listen to Carti for the lyrics... it’s for the vibe. I can’t imagine anyone genuinely listening to Playboi Carti rap nonsense in a baby voice, and then try and go into the streets because of it. The impact of music/video games on violence or real life activity is not what people make it out to be, and a lot of research in fact shows the opposite due to it being an outlet for emotional release. If you’re listening to Playboi Carti and trying to draw true meaning from what he’s saying, you’re listening to him for the wrong reasons. If that’s not your thing then fair enough, to each their own, but what you expect really does impact the listening experience. View Carti’s voice as an instrument riding the track, and not as a source of poetry.
I genuinely understand where you’re coming from. I listen to a lot of metal and it’s the same thing for me. I appreciate the thoughts and I’ll try to listen to it for the “vibe” more or less next time. It’s a fair point and I hope that the music isn’t having a negative influence.
