@@xernotec all of the goal poles would be converted to checkpoints while most of the bosses would be changed to allow you move on after you beat them.
My favorite part of the video has to be 15:09 where we absolutely struggle to get back into the pipe but end up prevailing anyways lol, it felt really insane that we actually made it back in. Other parts I liked were around 28:26 with the different drawings of the creatures in the blocks and the ending at 30:25
I’m assuming the reason for it is because of the fact that the secret exit in 8-2 hasn’t been reached yet, and thus, the level hasn’t actually risen out of the lava.

does that include every tile? because that’s not possible in the game’s engine unfortunately. one zone in a level is tied to a certain tileset. but otherwise every non-tile randomized would be cool!
I would say every brick block, ? block, hard block, stone block, etc. Randomising the tilesets as its own other modification could be fun though. It should be possible to do that as every area sticks to one tileset but the tiling would be horrific!
On there way to -save Peach from the cruel clutches of Bowser,- find every star coin they can, Mario and company discover that Bowser has had his minions haphazardly reroute every pipe in the Mushroom Kingdom (which would explain why Luigi found a piranha plant in the shower yesterday...), not just that, but he's set a perimeter around each world to prevent the Mario Brothers from going between them, forcing the brothers and the toads to endure a labyrinth of the Koopa King's machinations...
This looks really fun! To be honest, I never understood the appeal of playing 4 player Super Mario games until I had my friends over the other day and tried to speedrun Mario Wii. It was so hilarious and an amazing time, I think it would be great to try out the pipe randomizer with them for fun too :)
Ok so hear me out, imagine removing the timer and making literally every level interconnected in a way, removing every ending but the final bowser, and then you could fit the whole game in a single level
