You can check the self-timer operation with the self-timer/AF-assist beam, beeper, and countdown display (in seconds) on the LCD monitor.
Hi! I´ve been using Canon 77D for year now and I just love it! Only thing I miss on the 77D is the option to set the minimum shutter speed, I believe 80D has that? I really don´t want to buy a new camera just because that one feature, Is there any hope to have that feature on a new firmware? Great videos! Cheers! Janne
Hello, Janne Hintze. Are you referring to the option when you are using the Auto ISO function? Unfortunately, I find it unlikely that Canon will provide a firmware update for the 77D. Thanks for your feedback! Take care.
@@DigitalGojaUSA Yes, I saw some camera with an option to set minimum shutterspeed when using auto ISO And when I said I´m not going to buy a new camera...that was before I heard about Canon EOS R5/R6...😍.

@Janne Hintze. Yup. Canon is looking to shake things up in the market. Kind of like when the 5D MK II was introduced. You're right that not everyone is looking for top-end video features but we are seeing more and more photographers especially journalists having to take on the role as a multimedia content creator so these tools definitely help out in that respect. There are rumors floating around of a high megapixel R camera out in the wild that should be more photo-centric with less emphasis on the video end. Sort of like the recently discontinued 5Ds/r cameras. But I could only imagine what the price will be. Either way, this is very exciting news. Hopefully, the situation improves soon. We will put up a video on both cameras once we get our hands on them. Stay safe and take care.
Hey there :-) One question I still can't find any answer about, and couldn't figure it out myself... Got the 77D, and bought a field view monitor (Neewer 760). I want both, the screen from the 77D working with at the same time the external monitor to show up the image too.... At the moment, as soon as I connect the HDMI cable to the external screen, the local 77D screen goes black... (shooting VIDEOS, no photos...) TIA :-)
can't believe the external screen prevents the DSLR screen from being mirrored... but anyway, might be a thing to look at! Thanks for your answers, appreciated!

If I May, I’d like to ask you something about my camera.. I Keep seeing the word “ Flicker! “ on the litle screen all the time the light is a bit darker.. how can I take That out of the screen? Thank you
Hi Ana, when the camera detects light sources that are blinking, which can mess up exposure and color, the word Flicker! appears in the area labeled. The biggest offenders are tubular fluorescent bulbs, which blink on and off so quickly that it’s difficult for the human eye to detect them. When you see this warning, you may want to enable the Anti-flicker Shoot option on the Shooting Menu.
Hello, Y. Mercier. No, unfortunately it does not but if you are looking for a camera that does, I would recommend the Canon EOS 80D. Thanks for watching!

Hi, Tiago Gomes!! You could, but the Canon 77D displays the camera's information on the image, and it could not provide you a "clean" signal out through the HDMI port.
@Rxch I would choose the 5D MK IV but It really depends on your budget and needs as either a photographer or videographer. In my opinion the image quality that comes out of the 77D is really impressive and if you pair it with a good lens and shoot in good light I bet it would be difficult for someone to choose which image came from the 77D and which was shot with the 5D. With that being said there are reasons why pros would choose the 5D. They need a more rugged camera, better battery life, dual card slots, larger and brighter optical finder, improved AF tracking and low light capabilities, 4k video etc. But that all comes at a much higher cost.
