      @@ALAN-ALAN1997 Because the deadpool VFX got a higher percentage of the total budget than RRR. And it was mostly one studio (Blur) who did only 1200 shots, for RRR it was many big time studios doing 2800 shots with a much smaller percentage of the total budget. Huge difference.

    This is the beauty of India which is also called 'Jugad'. Even with not so big budget RRR delivered a world class movie with stunning visuals.

      I dont think 'jugad' is anything exclusive to India or Indians. It's in the mentality of most people from global south countries who have lived their lives on the bare minimum while ensuring a bright future for their kids.
      Global North or the collective West has been spoiled over decades to overspend on stuff bcuz of the way their economy and banking system work.

    I loved RRR's vfx and cgi bcz it looked perfect for that kinda budget but movies like 2.0 and ps1 didn't look impressive regarding their budget.

      2.0's 3D VFX is underrated.
      And PS-1 didn't even care about the VFX.
      And it's budget is lesser.
      PS-1' budget is less than 250 Crores.
      RRR and 2.0 had twice the amount of budget.

    16:36 There is VFX in Naatu Naatu! Rajamouli points this out in the Vanity Fair breakdown video! The Presidents palace had the Union jack flag added and the Ukrainian parliament had it's roofing changed in VFX and also a flag added!

    Ram vs bheem , completely new characters had more impact than batman vs superman somehow and they managed that within an hour of the movie. Whereas BvS even the non ultimate edition cersion took 2 hourse to poorly explain the reasons fir the fight. with so much back story for iconic characters like batman and superman it still felt clunky, confusing, rushed and just for the sake of it.

    Never forget director Shankar's vfx contribution in the 90s he was a pioneer not only for vfx shots but also revolutionised Indian film making with latest techs.

    This only highlights, what so many directors around the world need to understand and see. Prep, Prep, Prep. Everyone knew what they were doing and the ways to go about with achieving it. I have lost count, and heard nothing but horror stories of VFX studios being dumped shots that the director/producer didn't know anything about VFX or animation. Or how long all these things take.

    About the Naatu Naatu dance scene ,the dance move looks very fast compared to the background (similar to the fight scenes in captain america civil war)- sure that is not cranking up the camera technique

      I am comparing the movies on vfx and overall.
      Pathaan Imdb 6.3
      RRR Imdb 7.9.
      That says a lot about them.
      It has collected so much money because SRK was coming back after 4 years , after giving two consecutive flops which are ZERO and JAB HARRY MET SEJAL and his crazy fans were like our God is coming to bless us.
      It's a bit exaggeration but you got the point.

    It amazes me that none of the VFX experts have not broken down the Naatu Naatu dance yet. Is it just me who thinks that Jr NTR and Ram Charan's heads were cut-pasted in many dance sequences?
