The guy who did this was executed in 2009
That is good to know!
Absolutely good to know
Happy ending!
YES, very happy ending
glad to hear
In 1994, I worked parttime at a Bingo Hall with Brad Lindsey's mother. Her and her son were close, and Brad worked to help support his mother. This was her only child. It was horrible. I'll never forget this.
I lived in lake Highlands in 1994, my grandmother took me to the Chili's in casa Linda all the time. So sad to have been so close to something so tragic. Prayers for their families 🙏
Those guys lost their lives for probably 4$ an hour back then. 20 and 26 yrs old. Disgusting.
The criminal killed two lives for less than $400. Just two innocent men working for a paycheck. The poor detective work caused another victim to be killed. Horrible.
@@call2872 all because the bum couldn't work for a lousy week and earn it himself. Some people are beyond pathetic
Exactly!

@@Kitten_Mittonsblacks for ya.

@@whattheflyingduck6878 so your saying criminals will be law abiding as far as weapons go ? if civilians were armed and even semi trained then there would be less criminals one way or another.
True because just going off of what he said about his GF being Jealous shouldn't allow him to be released

There is a reason you were directed to walk past Bradley's grave. Again, thanks for standing with and up for the forgotten.
Who is Derrek Shark?
The Blockbuster Video was on the end where the Care Now clinic is located now. I remember this murder well because my family frequently went to the Casa Linda shopping center. Thanks for making this video.
It faced what is now the Schlotzkys location.
I miss blockbuster. The good ol days

And this is why I believe in capital punishment, thanks for the story Lamont😁
Two wrongs don’t make a right! Why have his family go through the pain and grief? Also he would have more of a hellish life in prison than dead. We should never play God
@@lynncantrell2782 We play god or administer justice on a daily basis. There people must be stopped and punished so the only other solution is to put him away for life. And that’s also playing god so what are we to do😡
@@markwoods4439 How is putting a criminal behind bars playing God? Do you want the criminals who committed violent crimes to be back in the street?
@@lynncantrell2782 Lynn, some people would say capital punishment is a deterrent to crime. I am not sure about that. I am for the death penalty when it's proven the person is guilty. First, that person should not have the right to live if he or she took the life of another person. Second, the death penalty assures society that some criminals will never against be set free in case some bleeding heart state parole board, a judge, or other authority figure. A prisoner could also escape from prison. Being dead guarantees this won't happen.
Such a sad story and despicable SOB. Rest in peace young men.
So bottom line, Leon was released from questioning in the Blockbuster murders because of (obviously faulty) intelligence that the killer ‘appeared’ 5’6” on a grainy, above-perspective surveillance image, without doing dna analysis, and would have gone free if not for stupidly committing another murder months later 🤦♂️
Yes
it was also because he was using his GF as an excuse of her being jealous and he was being framed, i think it was so childish for the police to let him go that easily which they should have held him in custody as a prime suspect since this was a serious double murder. You would think so
Ikr? So stupid!
DNA wasn't as advanced as it is today. Even in the 90s
@@AmyShiningBear DNA testing was accurate even in the 90s.
Man I've been watching you on and off for a long time and every time I watch I just think it's so cool that you've managed to make a living traveling around to graves and crime scenes like this. No crazy script or editing, just you and your camera. Love it.
Literally nobody is doing it like he is. Full dedication and deserves more recognition imo.
Lamont does this better than anyone.
Hell yeah. He's also one of the best storytellers on here. Very engaging.
The cops thought he was too tall to be the killer? How can they even tell in that video? That’s ridiculous
Using Triangulation, common metrics, and Trigonometry
Well they use techniques like measuring his height based on him standing next to shelves or walking through the front door
That's why many businesses have that height strip by the exit doors.
Shitty cops!
Cops know better today than to not say ridiculous statements like that.
Tragic :(
So many people have said it's insane to carry a weapon for self protection, and they say, "just comply and give the robbers what they want, they don't really want to hurt you" etc etc
I wish that were true. But, no, it's better to have the option to defend yourself and others.
Pretty much. If you’re going to get shot anyways, might as well take the chance to save your own life.
I’m 30, when I worked gas stations and convenience stores from the age of 18-23, I always had a pistol on me even though it was against policy for us to carry and I wasn’t legally old enough to carry at the time, but I didn’t care about that. I’d rather go to jail and come home one day instead of being taken to the morgue over money that’s not even mine
@@Timmomcj So true bud!
It's better to get fired and still be alive, than to abide by ridiculous company policies that will get you killed. Especially with your old job at a gas station, which is such a dangerous job!
@@Timmomcj Exactly!
The height thing is why convenience stores have the height measurements by the doors as you walk in.
They do? I have never seen that.
Dallas Police detective could have measured him against a known quantity like that metal folding chair. Between Uvalde and Dallas Police Departments, the layers of incompetence is staggering.
@@Dee-743 Next time you walk into a 7-11 look by the door.
And properly placed cameras
clever
So glad the guy was caught! And justice served. May they all rest in peace.
Dallas police could have saved the lady at the convenience store had they listened to the girlfriend about his confession.
I totally remember this. The Blockbuster was on the end as I remember, where Fish n’ Tails is now. But, after 30 years my memory is prone to failure.

Wow, they just don't mess around in Texas--Leon Dorsey was executed in 2008. So many times you see people on death row for decades. Thanks Lamont! Love, hugs & God Bless you 💕💕
Texas dont play that mess.
Very sad some people should not be out in the public they are a danger to everyone some sick monster
they knew when they freed them .
Them two employees were not lying, only managers do have access.
So sad they got they lives took because they didn’t know the code to the safe but dude probably would’ve killed them anyway even if the did have access
I grew up there. Its on the corner beside boomer jacks. Its now a medical office.
Across from the TMoble shop
It's ironic to me that a medical facility called Carenow that is on the site now. Too bad these young guys did not get the "carenow" when it happened. I just watched some news footage about this crime. The blockbuster has only been opened for a week and the mom of one of the victims went to the store because her son did not come home yet. When she arrived, the doors were locked. It took a long time to get someone to come down to the store to unlock it. So sad.
In case anyone is curious, Leon David Dorsey IV was executed on August 12, 2008.
Thank you for the video, Lamont. We had the same thing happen in Warminster Pa. A west coast video and two employee's both found dead in A much more gruesome way. But the kill or killers were not found.
Which is crazy because the technology today would most certainly identify the DNA
@@Timmomcj yes it happed in 1993 as far as DNA this person is not in the DNA database not yet.
The killings in Warminster,PA in 1993 was a West Coast video store, not Blockbuster.

Yep. That young guy was a couple years younger than me. I can't imagine all these years that he lost because of that lunatic.
I thought it would be cool working at a video store, like Quentin Tarantino did, but blockbuster never called me for an interview
Same here I was 16 tried to applied but didn't get a call back 😢
@@draines9237 yeah I was surprised and insulted they never called me

It was at the corner of Garland Road & Casa Linda Plaza. It is now a Medpost Urgent Care center. You can see the building right behind you at 3:47.
Blockbuster reported me to a collection agency for $15 in late fees. They went out of business shortly after 😂
That's wild!🤣
Yeah, when Netflix came into the picture, Blockbuster and Hollywood video pretty much got destroyed. But it's understandable because those 2 companies made more money off of late fees than they did the movies. They were no better than banks. I never had any late fees from them cause I was paranoid to have to pay them, but I always felt I had to get the movies back ASAP so I didn't end up with any. I don't miss those places at all.
Glad you make these documents of these murders I have never even heard of these on the news or crime tv and Im 34 years old never heard this story

I'm pretty sure that's the case at most businesses. People that rob these places thinking theyre going to get a ton of money out of it are so stupid.
You need sunglasses on, to protect those pretty blues!
The Only Blockbuster left is in Oregon
I found it on street view, it was directly next to the Boomerjacks on the left..
Also just a helpful tip for you and others.. when trying to find spots like this.. if the street view doesn't go back very far in a shopping center for instance drop a pin to the nearest main road near it and they almost always go back to 2007/2008 and you can most the time zoom in and see what your looking for.. Most shopping centers dont go back until about 2016 or so but the main streets go back to 2007/2008 most times
The image on the street view is time stamped dated 1994 ?
You can go back in time@@bradmiller8315

I grew up in East Dallas during the 90’s. The blockbuster was easy to see while driving down Garland Road. The building was definitely facing towards Garland Road cause I remember my parents driving down that street and I always saw that blue movie ticket themed sign. After block buster shut its stores down, that building sat vacant for a while until they started expanding the shopping center.
Thank you ❤️🙏
Hey Black Biggie, your research, leg work and editing skills when presenting these long ago tragic incidents is phriggin' top-notch homey. The crew over here believe a vlog you researched in Atlantic City a couple of years ago concerning four ladie's of the night has pointed a finger squarely on that N.Y. architect. I like your channel, Lamont. Mainly, because you have a “hands-on” approach. I mean, I like how you take us, the viewers, to the place where these events happened. That is a huge plus. I don’t know where this BLOCKBUSTER was. However, if I could guess, I bet you that it was where that GREAT CLIPS is at now. BLOCKBUSTER were large stores. Plazas, such as the one in this video, usually occupy end corner sections of a plaza. I am only guessing, but if I had to bet, that is more than likely where it was. Thanks, Lamont. Peace.
