In the 90s, when I was a kid, my adult cousin who just got out of the navy and was a domino delivery driver. At the time, delivery drivers made multiple deliveries and would sometimes have cash. On one particular night, he was making a delivery and was ambushed by a man trying to rob him with a gun. A tussle began, and my cousin got the gun and shot the guy. He ended up having to fight in court, and dominoes did not stand by him. They changed their policy, so drivers didn't have cash. He was cleared. Dominoes drivers don't make multiple deliveries. Yes, the robber died.

@@adamtedder1012Dominoes is a piece of crap company, to begin with. My best friend worked for them for ten years and he told me that management there was horrible. He was glad to get out of there when he did. One manager he had was making advances towards my friend’s stepdaughter, who also worked there. He caused a big scene and it spiraled out of control after that. Years later when he tried to get his job back there, the guy that was hiring ended up being that previous manager and he essentially told my best friend to F off. My husband was a pizza driver for close to 15 years (off and on; he managed as well), for all three big name pizza restaurants-Pizza Hut, Domino's, and Papa John's. He was robbed at gunpoint while delivering, at least 2 or 3 times. Thank God above, he was never injured. It happened to some of his friends, too. Robbing a pizza delivery guy is the pinnacle of stupidity, as well as LAZINESS.

Lamont! I’m in Lafayette right now. Are you hanging around for a while? I would’ve driven by and honked if I knew you were here.
You are the first RUclipsr I’ve ever seen to do a crime scene area video and I subscribed immediately (I know you’re not the first, but the first I’ve seen).
I remember when this happened. That poor delivery driver didn’t deserve that. I hope his wife and baby have a happy and healthy life.
Why should he trust you a complete stranger 😂
He’s a fool, he revealed where that Enmit lady lived. That was all done!! Why suffer the old lady
Speaking of Lafayette, Joey Chestnut, the #1 ranked competitive eater in the world, recently did an eating challenge at an restaurant there, called "DT Kirby's".
I've done doordash on the side since 2018 and I delivered KFC/Taco Bell in 1988. I was always worried about getting robbed back then because we did carry cash. RIP Joshua.
There was a time when truck drivers had loads of cash on hand and were easy targets
As a fellow DD driver who lives in Cleveland, OH I actively avoid any and all hoods as much as possible if I can. I specifically drive out to rural/suburban places like Chesterland or Middleburg to start dashing. The shit I’ve seen in East Cleveland makes Detroit seem like a safe place to raise a family. Never setting foot there again. It’s all on who you elect to run your cities.
They did deliveries for taco bell and KFC back then ?
@ChristopherFava-z2y Yep in certain parts of Kansas City Missouri and Lawrence Kansas.

What a shame a man becomes a first time father and he gets murdered ! Heartbreaking 💔
She should never get out of prison
Every one of them in court should have arrested and jailed for their threats.
Lafayette is only 30min from me and Ive never heard of this case. Food delivery drivers don't even make enough to live on, how tf someone gonna murder them. Most of the time drivers rarely have enough to even make change for a 50 dollar bill.
You’ve never heard of it because its black on white violence, if it were white on black it would be headline national news.
Sad story. But great information.
Because the liberal Biden media doesn't like reporting black on white crimes.
Black on white crime is seldom reported on. Now, white on black crime is another story.
When I delivered pizzas there were certain neighborhoods that I absolutely refused to deliver in
I do not fault you at all!
People can set you up anywhere, you just got lucky, it ain't the neighborhood, it's people
Same with Door Dash. I never dashed at night nor did I go to the hood.

thank you for shedding light on this case. also, i loved your usage of the word "cretin;" especially because it was 100% correct.
I've done food delivery myself, back in the 90s. It was, I thought, relatively safe. Most of the customers were regulars. But TG I had a great boss who never let me take deliveries to shady neighborhoods on the rare occasion we'd get an order from them. It was great money and I loved most of my customers. I would NEVER go back to doing it nowadays.

Way back. The store would give the drivers change. You could place a phone order and pay when the pizza arrived.

If they're doopid enough to target a pizza guy, they're doopid enough to assume a driver is flush with cash.
Right? Do they even take cash anymore? If you call I bet they tell you to order in app lol they should anyways... Why even carry cash anymore just asking to get robbed.
