I am US Army veteran, retired. I was NEVER kicked or hit by anybody while in the service. This includes basic training that had really mean SOB Drill Sergeants!

I am not defending Meyer in any way. I am not a fan. I do not dislike him because of anything he did with the Jags. That said, the "degree of kicking" ABSOLUTELY matters. All you need to do is look at the Kareem Hunt video versus the video of Ray Rice. It's not a defense of the decision to "kick" the kicker in the first place but how that went down and the severity of the force behind said kick is very important information to know.
Sort of happened with Carolina a few years ago. Jerry Richardson under investigation by the NFL, internal investigations, regarding sexual harrasment and other things. He got the hint and sold the team.
