Seriously, so sad to see this was shut down! It looks amazing! I've been wanting a game like this since Stargate Worlds was announced.
and Stargate Worlds was announced right after SG-1: The Alliance got cancelled. Nearly all Stargate games either get cancelled or are no where near the quality of SGN
The smart move would've been to hire them, but Bezos is a greedy sumbitch

I was so sad when I heared the project was cancelled. Thouse scenes of development over all the years were so good to see. It looked awesome. So I guess it's time to say goodbye now
I've never really been sad about the loss of a video game before but Stargate was such a massive part of my childhood and the work of your incredible team helped me fall back in love with the franchise. Thank you so much for all of the hard work put into SGN over the years, I've played all the way from the 2D flash game up until the latest release, and I'm beyond sad that it's had to come to an end. I'm super excited to see what projects come from the new studio, though, and hopefully MGM realise the mistake they've made and it becomes a licensed game. Onwards, upwards and onto the next planet! 💕

Fan de Stargate depuis fin des années 90, croyez moi si je vous dis que j'attend un jeu comme ça depuis plus de 20 ans. Que fût ma joie quand j'ai découvert ce projet, et que fut ma peine quand j'ai appris qu'il allait être annulé. Les studios ne comprennent pas ce que les fans attendent, et c'est bien dommage car ça ne changera pas. Merci pour votre travail durant toutes ces années. Et qui sait, peut-être un jour serez-vous récompensé pour tout ça.

As a Stargate Fan this brought tears to my eyes. When Stargate was in it's stride it was an amazing show and these trailers really captured the amazing detail and feeling of exploration & exploration.
This is indeed a sad day. Your work was amazing and seeing a glimpse of what you created without being able to try it makes me want to cry. Good luck too all of you in your future endeavours. Goodbye.
Cant believe this got cancelled! I loved it, closest to a real Stargate game ever!! And to know we could have had Atlantis and space battles
This is so sad... SGN was the game I've been looking forward to my whole life, although I didn't know it yet... When I discovered it about a year or two back, I fell in love and I couldn't wait for every update from you guys. I just can't believe that I won't be able to try it. Wish you all the best. This game will always have a place in my heart, although it was never finished. Forever I will keep at least some hope that maybe, just maybe, someday there will be a game like it that won't get cancelled and will actually succeed. Stargate was a magnificent piece of art and it really deserves a great game like Stargate Network seemed to be becoming.
Someone should have a stern word with Amazon and convince them that they made the wrong decision, we need to get this game back

I played the demo of this brilliant game and was blown away! You guys faithfully recreated everything to the smallest detail, including landmarks from the Stargate movie. I spent hours exploring every inch of Abydos. So sad to see this project go!😥 And from what I've seen, this project was going to be out of this world.🌎 Pun intended. Here's hoping that this project will never die like many other Stargate games did.🤞🤞 You guys are keeping the Stargate spirit alive and we need that in these uncertain times.

What you did in your free time is better than ANY of the games MGM has made... it is a shame and the community should be mad at them for taking this away! Hopefully in the future we could see an open source stargate game so that maybe they can't shut it down that easily idk...
it has been a honor, to be a part, along with all the fans of Stargate, of this Odyssey, shame it has come to an end, will cherish the memories, playing the demo years back, beig part of discussions on the discord, it shall be never forgotten. Thank you, for this great experience, and wish you the best in your future endeavours, sad to see it end like this. we can only hope it comes back in the future.
This is just heartbreaking. I'm damn near close to tears. Stargate meant so much to me, and yet I had no idea this even existed. There is so much love and dedication in this project. Enough to get those beloved actors to come out to give it a try. I'm just, I'm speechless. There is no justifying this action against you guys, there never could be. Least of all for a company as wealthy as Amazon is. No one needs that much money, no one deserves that much money, and yet they still find it necessary to crush the hopes and dreams of so many of us regular folk out of greed. If only all corporations were owned by the government. If only a system like that existed.
It's just haunting to think I'll grow old and die and never get to experience this fully realized. Just heartbreaking.
I loved getting to play the last two versions of this. So much potential squandered. Thank you SGN Team / Icy Skip making something awesome of Stargate gaming.

So sad that the project is gone, I keep hoping that some day they return with Amazon on their side and make a great official game, the one we all wanted instead of the horrid games we got this far.

Je sais pas pourquoi YT me dit que la video date d'aujourd'hui , j avoue avoir eu un petit espoir ( malgrè le titre) . Quand on voit ce que l on nous propose comme jeu "officiel" Stargate en 2023, il y a de quoi avoir les boules ....
C'est quand quelque chose ou quelqu'un nous manque qu'on réalise à quel point c'était important pour nous. Franchement, toutes ces années, j'ai suivi votre boulot, et en voyant cette vidéo (j'avoue l'avoir ratée jusque là), je réalise que ouais, SGN était LE jeu qui manquait à ma vie ! Encore bravo pour votre boulot et j'espère qu'un jour, par un miracle, il renaîtra de ses cendres, et vous permettra d'aller au bout de ce magnifique projet !
I think the developers here should try to get their hands on the star citizen engine. It seems like it would be a better fit than unreal engine.
I also think us fans should fight for this, this would have been a absolute winner of a game with crazy amounts of sales had it been finished and released. really we cant let this go... im just not sure how to fight for it...
Does anyone have any ideas? when i say fight i mean non toxic and non violent, we have to do it the right way.
The most they can do is to create a unique IP in a similar theme not related to the Stargate franchise, any use of the Stargate IP will result in a cease and desist.

Honestly gutted, as a huge Stargate fan I can see how much love and effort you were putting into this, it was definitely a passion project for all of you! I can only hope that some good comes out of this, like a new Stargate based show! It's the only reason I can think of at the moment for them wanting this shut down.

All this work, all the effort - it's a shame, that this amazing game had to be cancelled. I was hoping so much for it to be released one day. It would have been the one and only Stargate game, every fan was looking for. What you guys did was simply outstanding and full of heart. I feel so sorry for you and sad, that we won't be able to enjoy this masterpiece ...
Reach out to creators and offer to release their game as an official thing? No, why, that would be a _smart_ thing to do, better to just crush everything you see under your feet!
Stargate is one of the biggest tragedies in the film and games industry, Stargate had everything to be successful, actors who loved the universe, directors who knew what they were doing and a fan base that would have given anything to get another season.
Unfortunately, from start to finish, the brand was in the hands of greedy companies whose management had no interest in maintaining the brand and actively sabotaged the series' existence and destroyed every game that could have been even remotely successful.
This has huge potential. Hats off, my fans. I feel you. This your work is literally everything what a StarGate fan could wish for. I still have the older version on my computer. Just SGC and the 3 more planets, but that means such a great deal to me. Thank you all! I'll be forever grateful. Sending lots of support and love.
Oh you are crying! I´m not crying! 😭😭😭 This game had so much potential , and with the Unreal Engine 4, the possibilities were just endless. Amazing work guys, I hope you get to use all the acquired knowledge and build another sci-fi game, maybe with an original IP.

I know that the Amazon thing caused all this, but a project this big and ambitious should not be taken lightly and I have faith that the project will be resumed and given the green light and return triumphantly.

Stargate est vraiment une de mes franchises les plus cultes. Voir cette vidéo d'adieu du projet Stargate Network annulé par Amazon... Bah c'est touchant. C'était le Hogwarts Legacy sous stéroïdes pour fan de Stargate dont on ne savait même pas qu'on rêvait.
Voir des producteurs et acteurs de la franchise émerveillés en essayant le jeu en convention... Purée quel gâchis... Non j'ai un truc dans l'oeil c'tout...

Thank you so so much SGN Team for all the hope you have instilled in us throughout the years. Us SG fans DESERVE a game like the one you were developing! I just wish this could be released. I would do anything to play it. So fingers crossed you can sit on the project files and what not and Amazon can realise what a stupid decision they're making after all the love you have put into this project. That is now the new hope from all of us, is that steps can be made to fully greenlight a project like this. For a game of Stargate to be made, with your involvement. Much love to all who contributed to the project. I can't imagine the difficulty all of this has been, especially with the subsequent cancellation of the project :( As I've said hopefully it isn't the end... but it looks that way :( . I wish all the team the very very best for the future regardless! You people are amazing!
I am glad I had an opportunity to play this game few years ago and that I at least once went tru that gate. That was one of the best feelings after years of searching a good Stargate game. I am sorry for the devs that they spend so much time on the game and they have to shut it. I hope MGM will change their minds (or whoever is in charge now) and they will do the opposite of the shut down

Genuinely really sad about this when I heard, I remember checking it out for the first time and being absolutely blown away. You guys did such great work.
Thank you SGN team for the time and effort you guys have made over the last decade and a half, you guys were making a superb and so authentic and accurate game and its such a shame that when things are done correctly that they get shutdown and we are left with half made/inaccurate games. Sad to see this happen, reminds me of Stargate Alliance and Worlds back in the day when they got a similar treatment. Once again thanks for your hard work,

I just found a SGN clip I recorded from 2015 and looked this up. I was sad to see that it got cancelled but now that I see how much got done in the meantime I'm really sad.
Absolutely devastated to hear of the cancellation, a shame that MGM didn't listen sooner and decide to invest in this project, as opposed to reacting with an instant legal shit-canning. Rude, but glad they made it right in the end. This is STILL a fantastic game adaptation of the show(s). They absolutely should invest in the talents of the crew that made this. "Icy Skip" I believe?

MGM should have gone bankrupt decades ago when they were at their lowest. They would have not be missed.

The cancellation of this is an absolute travesty and the studio should be courtmartialed that they can just send their lawyers to shut down a fan project and then the IP holder just lazily sits on the damn thing and does nothing with it....simply because, as I would accuse them that, they just didn't like that this project wasn't made by them and had a real chance of being successful.
If I had been the CEO of Amazon, or whoever owns the Stargate IP atm, I would've told you guys "Yeah, really nice work. Go wacko with it if you want. Sure we can work out a liscencing deal later" but ffs...ending a promisiong fan project like that is just cruel.
When I look at all parts that were done for the SGA setting thus far...god damn I would've LOVED to step foot on Atlantis and see how you would've realized the workings of the Pegasus gate and all those things from the series.
I still have the 4.0 demo files and am occasionally still playing with the gateroom and the 3 offworld locations, even if it's just for seeing the SGC gate dialing up and hearing the fantastic replication of the shows SFX.
And YES, I can still play it by bypassing the Launcher and going through the SGNexe directly...and if Amazon/MGM don't like that I still have it and play with it, well then they can bite me!
Copyright for Intellectual Property is a fraud... so many companies and studios abuse these laws to the fullest, it's insane...
everything has an end, and that's always sad....this one is a sad ending, but looking back, i am happy for what we had to play with, it was truly a work of passion.
and over the years, the world will move on, and maybe, just maybe one day, when i am old and grey, we will see a game like Robocop, but for stargate , see the success it should have ever had...

I just played the 4.0 (?) Version. This alone got me 2 Hours...imagine a whole Game :( so sad. Great work. Hope you Keep the Data..maybe in the Future....

this was by far the best game that ive play while i hade the chance 2. so amazing and sad. i pray th people that made the game didnt destroy it and instead kept it. really amazing and very pround for all the work yall putted in

I'm surprised to see David Hewlett and Christopher Judge were there to see the game in-person and they looked excited to see it. Disappointment would be an understatement for MGM forcing this game's developer to shut down this project instead of working out a deal to create an awesome game and potentially make tons of money.

I am very sad that the game had to be discontinued. It had a lot of potential and I hoped until the end that the project would somehow continue.
