My old best friend plays guitar, and it just shows this exact experience isn’t exclusive to romantic relationships. It always felt like such an awkward moment when he’d play to me. And his voice was… not good… to put it kindly. He was very tone-deaf. Whenever he’d play the guitar to me, it was like he’d nonverbally be saying his time was more valuable than mine, and just talking to me wasn’t enough. Gosh, I remember once I was helping him with a job application over FaceTime. When he was 80% finished, he just gave up, left to his room, came back with his guitar, and started playing/singing. I just smiled and laughed, but I was screaming, "NOOOOOOOO" on the inside. 😂 And not just for a little. He sang through entire songs without even interacting with me. I should’ve just hung up as soon as I saw his guitar because he wasted so much of my time. MAN, I’m glad that friendship is over… 😅

Oh yeah absolutely. Too many dudes out there doing stuff to impress girls. Doing what you like and getting with the girls who actually show interest in you is the best way. Biggest myth out there is that guys should ''get out there'' and ''look'' for a girl. The girls choose who they like, and the guys who notice they're liked should figure out if he is also interested, and make a decision if he's going to go through with it or not based on that.

If you don't feel like it's flowing very easily with a girl you like (and always be pretty clear about your intentions when you know you like them like that), she's not into you that much or at all. If a girl isn't all in, it's not worth it. Chasing girls is a BAD habit that always ends up badly for the guy.
Not saying she has to think you're perfect ot anything, but if she isn't clearly as into you as you are into her, you're probably chasing.

I've been around people like this and it's just painful and annoying. They go into their own world on the guitar when you're hanging out, and you're just forced to sit through the entire thing at random times. I can't deal with that anymore. I think people like this guy pair best with other musicians who can sing along and vibe. On a lighter note, his voice is absolutely beautiful!
