What gets me about this SCP is when SCP-682 heard about SCP-2935, particularly the video showing it's corpse, it _freaked the fuck out, screaming in absolute terror at the sight of it's lifeless body. Then begged for it's life._ SCP-682, The Hard-To-Kill-Reptile, one of the most murderhobo of SCPs, was terrified to the point it was begging for it's life. THAT, is genuinely terrifying. And when it learned that the entire team had elected to stay in that alternate universe, dooming themselves never to return and sealing up the tunnel leading to it, it had this to say: "They have my most sincere gratitude."
I can get why he was so terrified, It would be freaky enough for us to be shown the picture of our own dead body, and yet we know we are mortal, but 682 KNOWS (or at the very least thinks, with good reasons) that it can't die. So it had to deal with the sudden revelation that something powerful enough to kill it actually exists. Or, as the expression of his "most sincere gratitude" (wich is really odd to hear from it, considering it hates humans with a passion !) seems to indicate, 682 knows what did this, and its terrified reaction came from the fact that it thinks that it is know just one cave away, ready to kill it. But yeah, anythink that freaks out like that one of the children of the Scarlet King is NOT something I want to deal with ! :D
Immortals are often far more afraid of death than mortals when confronted with the possibility being real. You and I know that we will die, at latest around 120. We still fear it, but on some level, it is seen as natural and expected. For an immortal, death is not seen as natural or expected.
What gets me is that it wasn't just living creatures. It was even the AI. It's like the very concept of life was wiped out, and we have no clue what did it or why...
Very few beings in the SCP Foundation Universe could do something like this on such a massive scale. The Brother's Death are the biggest culprits for this since they are abstract as heck. Like, anything that can successfully kill 682 in not just one universe, but every connecting universes via proxy transfer of a messenger like a wanderer, is on another level.
I mean, the MTF did several operations on that alternate universe. All it takes is one of them to touch anything, or even the soles of their boots leaving bacteria as they walk, hell they could just shed some dead skin with bacteria on it. Pretty sure it's re-seeded of life, just microbial but still life. Unless the nuke's blast radius is big enough to cover everywhere they treaded. In which case all hope is crushed yet again (;
@@graljoffrewithoutanarmy860 yeah this means that in the long chain of death following from universe to universe via carriers, the carriers planted seeds of life in the dead world's too, in a billion years maybe each of those world's will have advanced life again. Though the sun night shorten the new species lifespan cuz it'll go into the Red giant phase
Also, I'm pretty sure the way it killed 682 was its speed. If you want to kill 682, you have to do it FAST, or it'll adapt. But this thing did it instantly, so there was no time for it
Want to know something funny? The Corpse of the other Keller has... interesting implications, since that corpse was able to decompose, the 'dead' world has life in it again, though whether that life would be able to do anything with nothing to really feed off is another question entirely.
It speculated that the entity in the cave is one of the 3 brother death the major personfication of death in scp universe mainly featured in scp 1440 old man from nowhere scp
There was a Tale based on 2935 where Small death was collecting a person from the foundation, then after that pulled out a random hourglass to see who to collect next and thought eh he wants a more notable person to collect so pulled out another but saw that both people had the same time left, he then pulled out hundreds of hourglasses and found everyone has the same time left He talked to his brothers and they talked about feeling human because everyone in the world is gonna die at the same time, this ending the brothers death purpose, they then went to their universes 2935 cave and waited for a person to come out and bringing ultimate death to their universe, and said now we find out what happens. The tale implies there is a death above the brothers that even they don't know about. It makes sense, the brothers death exist in all SCP universes, but they aren't all dead, there has to be a Death with a captial D, a mega death that follows people from universe to universe and kill the concept of life
From the info this scp story is giving, whatever killed this universe and the task force is the avatar/embodiment of nihilism as an active mental or internal effect on all thing that is classified as a "living organism", that us just my interpretation or theory of what this scp is.
Oppenheimer’s horror as he quotes the Vida is palpable- he almost literally opened Pandora’s box to destructive power on a whole new scale, to the point he worried in the math stage he might set the ATMOSPHERE on fire if he’d made an error…
My biggest questions are, *_what the hell happened to the strongest of the SCP's? What happened to 3812, what happened to 2747, what happened to the Scarlet King, what happened to Yaldabaoth, what happened to 3143 (Murphy Lawden), what happened to 343, what happened to the Hanged King, what happened to 001 proposals (including Swann's)._* The answer to this question above, might be the answer to what is the strongest SCP in the verse... Also personally i don't think it's related to the Brothers Death.
"Everything is dead, and that creeps me out the most" Me: Oh yea, how about an SCP, where everyone is immortal FOREVER. But the body can still be injured in ways that would normally kill someone. That is one of the most terrifying things for me. It's the "End of Death" scenario. *Be warned, it may give you a panic attack.* spoilers below - - - - Picture being beheaded, but still alive...forever. @Vae Victis that would indeed be it. the original title was just "Exploring series" there is even another comment somewhere in this comment section where the Old man himself talks about.
The thing that gets ME is that it killed the "ghost girl" -- she's already dead! 😱 But my biggest questions: did it kill SCP 610? Or The Old Man? Or the "When Day Breaks" entity? Because it has my thanks.
More than likely everything. But the ghost girl dying again? Damn. Spirits are immortal, but whatever the hell 2935 was overrode even that. I remember that it was implied that it killed even a weakened scarlet king.
I just realized what may have happened originally. In a parallel universe, SOMEHOW, scp 049 got into 914 and cranked it to very fine. At his normal form he stops all biological processes at the same time....think about it.
That wouldn't occur. Especially with a being such as 049. At best it would enhance 049 as a whole. It's also important to note that this is a being beyond literally everything. You can't see it. It just simply follows you. It's like it doesn't exist in a way.

I know this is an old comment but where did you find 682s reaction and stuff?
What gets me is that it wasn't just living creatures. It was even the AI. It's like the very concept of life was wiped out, and we have no clue what did it or why...
Death. What else?
The fact that in another scp, 682 is described as the concept of what is death and, therefor, what is alive

The agents body decaying makes me hopeful tbh, that bacteria could restart life on the planet.
Nuke went off right? Sealed site also

First SCP video I ever watched, also the first time I can recall feeling genuine fear.
A personal favorite of mine. This is gonna be good.

I was under the impression that the scarlet king existed between all realities and would be outside of something like this
@@Chaos_Insurgent-kill-squad Theoretically yes, but this is the SCP verse, literally ANYTHING can happen.
We don’t need more than one of him…

Looks like you mixed it up there, the thing you've described is the 'End of Death' canon. 2718 is... kinda different?
@@acrux1918 Thank you for the correction. I always get these three mixed up. I'll edit my comment.

@Vae Victis well. I think Mr Makkovar put it eloquently enough, minus the capitalization and spaces.

Maybe give this video a title other than "EXPLORINGSERIES"?

when day breaks is within its own multiverse, unaffected by o death, yes it wouldve killed 610 and the old man, it kills life as a concept
Can you react to the rpc authority history by megazakari or an intro to the rpc by dr pierson or his let's compare the authority to scp

Yes
Still waiting for a reaction for scp 923 by Dr Bob.
