PythonSelkan, I subscribed to you about a year ago when I found you posted a couple hours LONG explanation on parts of the metal gear series. Playing the game and watching your explanations blew my mind. I appreciate your love for metal Gear, and just like you I cannot wait for what they have in store for us next. I’m still watching, great work caring so much!
One of the main reasons I’ve always enjoyed MGS3: Big Boss kills for country. He kills his mentor. He defeated the pain, the fear, the fury, and even the Boss herself , but in the end, he could never “defeat” the sorrow. He is the biggest hypocrite in the series. Despite all that, he’s still the most likeable anti-hero.
MGS was a good twist. Was decoy working with Ocelot to defeat Miller(after his vow to make Venom strong against Big Boss-in essence his betrayal of the Patriots)?
MGS2 had such a brilliant plot. So many facets-I love the Manchurian vibes. The impact of that game is not lost on me. He somehow knew AI and nanotechnology would rule the world in 2001.
MGSV leaves me wanting to storm into outer heaven and put Venom out of his misery(whether known or unknown)
I lost loads of respect for Ocelot when he agreed to help Zero kill Venom by damning him to being Big Boss’ decoy. One of the most villainous acts in the entire series. His loyalty to Naked Snake was HIS downfall.
There were always three Big Boss-the legend and the guys. The guys were jaded, lost and brainwashed. The legend was largely built by another man, Venom/Arab/ who’s real name is lost to history.
Please do a video on Miller's death and the events that led to MGS1. I know I requested before but I really want to see it for real for real

The entirety of MGS2 is the perfect definition of a plot-twist.
MGS2 was an expansion of MGS. People tend to forget, that MGS story played a vital role and was incorporated into MGS2 story.
More like the definition of irony in these modern times. And what the AI said is true, but humans are more than just rational touhgts, we are very complex creature. We are perfect harware with the most unreliable software.

I've only played the 3 and the 2, ordinaly first the mgs2 demo only tanker, mgs3 and finally mgs2 complete. This is what makes me feel invincible

After waiting for years to learn the identity of Patriots due to ending of Metal Gear Solid 2. I was bummed they weren't identified in Metal Gear Solid 3. What blew my mind is they were identified in Metal Gear Solid 4 as the folks coordinating my Virtuous Mission. In a way the Patriots have been guiding all the missions from the beginning. But what I don’t understand is at the very end of sons of liberty otacon says that the patriots have been dead for over 100 years
that's the silliest plot twist tbh, to begin with, all the plot of MGS2 was to make a reflection of post-modernism in out society and the danger of information spreading that fast as we can see, for me it seems that it was never the intention to continue the history and the end of MGS2 let it pretty clear with that stuff of the 12 people being dead 100 years ago, you were manipulated, you didn't know the truth and you will never know it because maybe there is no truth. However, since people wanted more, the next games were directly to other point and they even make MGS2 feel weird compared to the following games
I think the best plot twist is definitely Liquid being Miller, it was such a well executed scene and Snake’s voice performance was amazing.
The way he copied master miller's voice just something about these games just makes me smile
@@JayJay-nr2gk the funniest part is that technically Miller's real voice was modeled after Liquid's impression of him, and Robin Atkin Downes just happened to sound exactly like that with his natural voice

I was 9 years old when I beat this game. It’s one of my favorite plot twists of all time. It was so well done. I remember being in complete shock and it sucked because none of my friends were MGS fans and I had no one to talk to about what I’ve just saw lol
I like it when he screams. He's the only one in the entire franchise that sounds properly furious, take for example the moment when he kills Gray Fox

The reveal of Big Boss in MGS 4 was truly a shock. It made more sense when playing MGS V, the reveal that you were never Big Boss and that he swapped identities with his close friend, the Medic from GZ and Peace Walker, so that he could go into hiding since he was, essentially, a target by Cipher
I think my favorite twist is probably either the Venom Snake reveal at the end of MGSV, or the MGS2 reveal of Raiden's history as a child soldier raised and trained by Solidus.
Colonel and Rose being an AI in MGS2 was crazy the first time playing it.
The Venom Snake stuff, I personally don’t like but it still gets too much stuff but its still cool and covers up a plothole from the MSX games

Kaz's indiscretion is also the reason why he's relegated to helping Venom Snake instead of building Outer Heaven alongside the Boss. Venom Snake got one of the best on his team, even if he wasn't 100% trustworthy. Burgers > Outer Heaven

Whilst for me it felt almost too obvious because of how infuriatingly quiet that venom snake is compared to big boss. He even refuses to say the famous "kept you waiting, huh" line, God dang it!
For me it was the twist that Iroquois Pliskin was Solid Snake all along. This really blew my mind!

I still feel the affects of MGS2’s major plot twists towards the end of the game, that Arsenal Gear A.I really got in your head, not just your in game character Raiden’s head, but the player’s head as well.
That whole game was an amazing experience from start to finish in my opinion, I remember I bought a PlayStation 2 just so I can play metal gear solid 2 because it was exclusive to PS2 only at that time in the beginning back in November of 2001.
You start the game thinking you haven’t lost a step as Solid Snake and are ready to stop Ocelot and the Russians on the tanker just like you stopped Liquid and Foxhound back in Shadow Moses, but then make it to The Metal Gear Ray holding area where the General was making his speech to the American Marines and you discover something very very shocking from that point on.
WTF is going on??
You have to play MGS 2 after playing Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake and Metal Gear Solid to get the full effect of the shocking experience of playing MGS 2 for the first time.

Master Miller's true identity in MGS1 was my favorite plot twist to only find out Liquid was behind the deception

@@ertugrul2265 actually it was the real Master Miller who helped Snake during Zanzibar. Remember too Miller had heat with Big Boss and wanted him dead back in 1984 so 15 years later, he got his wish or so he thought

Wiseman's committee was the biggest shock to me, the way it reveal to us was damn shocking. Yet, the Boss's defection is the one that is the most emotional... :(
There are so many amazing plot twist that I can't even decide which one I like the most. MGS2 screwed my mind but mgs4 its a constant nostalgia trip that even made me cry when I played it. I guess that's my favourite cause of the emotional impact
Oh man, MGS4 hit so fucking hard back in the day. I had to wait for a long time to finally play it, because I didn't have a PS3. When I finally got it I was glued to my tv for days until I finished it. I had replayed the first 3 games again and again for years at that point. Seeing the end of the story was probably one of the most emotional experiences of my life at that time.
@@neoshenlong pretty similar for me, I ended up buying an used ps3 years later just to play mgs4 since there weren't ps3 emulators for pc. Such a great game, the shadow moses section hits so hard

Liquids plot twist. The voice acting, snake's anger and wanting the confront, liquid's amazing "bad guy" vibe, music building up, campbell's panicking. What else? Everything was perfect on that scene.

I remember the first time i played mgs1 and i was pretty hooked but when i discovered who was behind Miller i knew it was a masterpiece and the best was yet to come in the next games

- A ninja who was a former companion to Snake from a past operation.
- An ambush from inside an elevator.
- A female operative in enemy uniform, introduced to you by a scientist, whom you met by deciphering an anti-piracy measure of the game.
- Anonymous calls from Grey Fox, calling himself Snake's "biggest fan".
- The game's Anti-Snake, Fox, piloting Metal Gear against him, then facing him in a final battle of Close-Quarters Sumo.
- A last-ditch battle against an assault rifle-wielding Snake.

why did zero put bb on a brain cell? Afterall zero saved BB after motherbase attack and during the coma. Besides, zero called BB old friend when he visited bb while he was in coma, and did not want bb to die, so why did he do that? and para medic and sigint were also good friends with snake, during snake eater. So why did ocelot kill sigint and who killed para medic? When clearly, in tpp tapes ocelote mentioned all these "original members from operation snake eater" and that all of us (BB, ocelote, eva, zero, sigint, paramedic) had ultimately the same aim i.e. fullfilling the boss's will.

Sorry to spoil it if you didnt know, But he dies at the end of the first metal gear on MSX. But i wish it to be explored a little more. Im pretty sure there is a twist there too, i dont think Venom will want to kill Big Boss son. Poor Solid played the unknowing pawn a lot.

I played Metal Gear Solid 2 for so many years and never noticed that Solid Snake took Liquid's (McDonnell Miller) codec from MGS 1.

Mg1 and mg2 need a remake to set up mgs1 remake.
The two biggest plot twists were absolutely the AI Patriots running things and manipulating EVERYTHING, which totally changed how we viewed MGS1…and before Snape did it, there was Ocelot going from the most hated villain to our biggest ally all along!! Of course seeing Big Boss alive was a shocker, but nothing took this saga from amazing to god-tier like those two revelations!! 🤯
sadly back then venom snake be a big boss double and the boss's secret mission was actually pretty clear. but damn i loved the mgs4 big boss plot twist. it was really a perfect ending for all snakes
