Very interesting seating with the solo woodwinds sitting near the front of the orchestra while the 2nd players sit further back, in essence creating two separate small wind quartets. Can't say that I hear any tangible difference but I do appreciate Fischer's out-of-the-box thinking. Reminds me of Stokowski's experiments in seating with the whole wind section sitting at the front of the stage.
