I wore today a simple black pencil skirt just like Alexandra wears it in minute 2:44 (above the knee skirt with black stockings and high heeled short boots). I got so many compliments. I like I stumbled across this video, it gives me ideas for new future outfits ❤
This feels so much like your older content. I love it! I’m so happy that you’re in a place where you feel like you can make this type of content again. Love you, girl!
For my girlies with hip dips who are insecure about them and want to wear a pencil skirt, shapewear with padded hips is a lifesaver! I got mine off of Amazon for really cheap and makes me feel so confident in a pencil skirt. A cheat hourglass, if you will lol
No matter how many other similar videos I've seen by other creators over the years whenever you do a topic I've seen covered before you ALWAYS have an interesting new tip that becomes essential to me. You're the best at what you do!
Very nice video! Personally, I would love to see such a video on scarves and shawls with similar tips about how to match them to your outfit based on texture, pattern, color etc. Also, if the idea appeals to you, a video about loose clothing would be interesting. Like, how to style looser, more modest clothes in a way that does not look like you are straight up wearing curtains.
As a knitter who loves to knit lace but also just started working an office job for the first time outside of the classical music sphere, I am thrilled by this suggestion, as I am by having somehow stumbled into your content! Brilliant! Thank you!
So happy you are back to uploading. Missed you! I don't wear pencil skirts due to my thighs and bloated stomach due to medication, but as always, your clothes look great on you! 🖤
Great video! Love this type of content from you. I personally don’t like pencil skirts because I always end up with extra room in the waistband in the back, because if they don’t have a lot of stretch sometimes it feels like they’re designed to fit one particular shape of woman. But I love the look on other people, it’s so elegant!
I have large, muscular legs and love wearing pencil skirts. The right fit is a little more difficult to find but ones that fall right below my knee tend to work the best while ones that are straight across the quads are awful, they always fit too snug and ride up.
Yes Alex I loved this. Been considering adding a pencil skirt to my work wardrobe but I’m pear shaped so I knowwww. But the fabric might help ❤ Also yes I loooove tights
I gave up on this skirt style decades ago. Pencil skirts are called such for a reason: you need to have the body of a pencil...as well as two pencils for legs. Like Princess Catherine...and the models in this clip. A slight little curve can work, but most of us won't achieve visual fluency with all the tools in the world, especially if you have less than perfect calves too. For most of us the best style advice would be: try something different.
I hate pencil skirts. I had 1 and gave it away because it didn't suit my thick thighs at the slightest. I really love my figure but a pencil skirt doesn't do it justice. So I prefer A-line skirts or even mini skirts that flare out to give my thighs the much needed room.
I love the depth of analysis that you continue bringing to your videos and also love the pencil skirt look. One thing I really miss is how you used to give consideration, encouragement, even emphasis for embracing all bodies and being able to love how we are as we are rather than making it sound like using additional body modification products are necessary for what we wear and how we look. It taught a lot of girls and women how to embrace their selves and take pride in who we are without absolutely needing the material changes. I think your self care video was what brought me in and really kept a balanced message in ways that didn't really stress using certain products even though there were products being used. I hope things are going well for you in any case, we appreciate you Alex and hope you're finding the same love for yourself from within too. ❤
Great informative video! Would love to see video on the woman with the belly! I cannot find much less afford the body shapers! Been through so many! Bought them just to find it was not flattering at all!!! And for someone in menopause ITS YOO HOT! So tell me how do I hide my shape whole still showing shape?! Casual and dress!!!
Thank you, Alexandra 💕💕. This was an amazing video and I thoroughly enjoyed watching it. So much information! There are so many different videos you can make by branching out of just this one. Could you make one getting deeper into the Roman Rule of 3rds? It sounds so informative and I’d like to see a more comprehensive explanation, bringing in height, proportion, etc. Thanks again! 🫶🏼🙏🏼🌺 Oh! And I absolutely loved the tip where you used the cap to create that visual effect. Genius! I’ll be trying that, and not with just skirts!
It looks different on the webpage; the one you show has some lace, online it looks like a string-band (dont know how to describe it) it looks like it would cut into the leg :/
Hey Alexandra ! I would love a video about Tshirt or Tops in General. I know they are very basic yet I feel there are so many silhouettes, styles and fabrics out there - it can change your whole look. I am still trying to find my perfect „white tee“. Love your videos and your style
Alexandra -- You seem to have studied matching of clothing to form a stunning outfit in detail. I like wearing bodycon black leather micro mini skirts. Any advice on what else to go with it? thanking you in advance.
I rlly want to get into shapewear/tailoring to help me feel better in my clothes.. i always feel uncomfortable mentally and physically in fitted clothes. Being plus size the cuts are always hella weird and unflattering. buying shein and stuff is not worth that investment though
It is too a word. Maybe not a word you like to hear, but it is a word. 😅It's legitimately a real word, irregardless of what you think. Merriam Webster says so. 😉
You have such beautiful legs !! Mine are short and thick, especially my knees and my thighs are fat, so I don't really know which type of skirt I should wear. If it's too short, it's going to show my ugly knees. If it's too long, it will make me look really small. So I'd be thankful if someone could give me some advice! 😊
@mermaidx9386 you're welcome. I need it too. The kind that are like cycling shorts me help most. They prevent chub rub and hold the stomach in somewhat. You can also get them with hip n butt padding if you want that 😉
*PSA:* I haven't seen the video yet, but whatever you do, DO NOT pair a pencil skirt with hold-up stockings and then walk a mile to your job interview. You will get chafe-blisters the size of drinks coasters on your inner thighs. 😩 That is all

I'm a teen so I'd have to ask my mom lol 😅
@@evieweevyIt’s also not a bad thing if someone can see your hip dips, don’t worry. If your outfit is great, no one will look at the “flaws”.

Which one on Amazon is it ❤
Can you post a link to it please please please!!
Loved this! Can you do a video all about the different necklines? ☺️
Great idea!!
This visual fluency concept was mind blowing, would really love to know more about this
It blows your ‘mind’ to be able to DESCRIBE an article of clothing? Wtaf

Her content, her voice, everything is ❤❤❤❤❤
THE QUEEN IS BAAAACKKK!!! I guess continuing the skirt "series" would be good? What about A Shape skirts?? Thaanks! We LOVE YOUU!!
Production quality is on another level!
We missed you Alexandra, loved your two lasts videos
If you have hipdips or narrow hips wear skirts with pockets in the side seam or make them by yourself😅 its gamechanger I promise
Ooh, great tip! Thank you, I will try it 😊
Great video! Love this type of content from you.

you can try altering them to fit you
You need tailoring for your shape.
Fabric is incredibly important. What looks cheap, cheapens your look.
I have large, muscular legs and love wearing pencil skirts. The right fit is a little more difficult to find but ones that fall right below my knee tend to work the best while ones that are straight across the quads are awful, they always fit too snug and ride up.
Ahh I've missed this content from you! Nice❤️
I love that the vibe from your older videos is coming back. ❤️
could you do a video about business casual vs professional and building a capsule closet for work-wear?
Yes please, make a video on visual fluency that will be well appreciated.
Personally I am a big fan of fashion and you. Would love to see more detailed content on such topics from you. Loads of Love from Nepal
She saw y'all slandering her content and said SIT DOWN!
Love the video!
Good!! We knew she still had it!
Good we wanted her to get better cause we knew she can! Now she got feedback and adjusted
Wdym this video is also sponsored 😭
@@Bella1_ But its presented with great content and not just the sloppy advert videos she has been doing. This is how sponsored content should be.
How you made me look at fabrics ever since I discovered you can not be thanked enough, love you
A pencil skirt just below the knee with a stiletto looks elegant and sexy. Quality fabric is also important
I missed this longer type of video content from you! It’s refreshing to see amidst all the short form content on yt ❤

I love this type of content from you. I’ve literally shared you color theory video, art of dressing video to all my fashion girlies.
My favorite look: skirt with dark tights and boots. Wearing stockings makes an elegant look.

The model is only her 💀 they're not handpicked to have a certain body, it's just how she's shaped

How to keep your pumps on your feet while wearing stockings?
Use heel rubber grabbers that go on the heel top part of the shoes inside
This video is really helpful
